Gavin is coming back from a hike when he gets a call from Cooper. His best friends plane has gone down. His best friend, Mike’s, wife, Mallory, is his exes, Laurel’s, best friend. Mike and Mallory’s daughter, Emma, becomes their focus as they look for answers to her long term care and try to call a truce to their hurts from the past. Page turning story as we get to know these two and learn a bit about their past relationship as well. We see the Robinson clan, meet Mike’s parents and Aunt as well as Mallory’s mom and Laurel’s mom. Can’t forget Sunny too. She’s a big help with Emma.
A complimentary copy was provided by Thomas Nelson via NetGalley. A review was not required and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I requested to read and review this book for free from Thomas Nelson a trademark of HarperCollins publishing. Denise Hunter does it again with another great read. This story is about love, redemption, sacrifice, forgiveness! Can past hurts be healed and be able to move on. There is Laurel who wants to be loved even though she keeps herself guarded. Then there is Gavin who wants to do the best for his family even though he may not say it. When a tragedy brings people together can something good come out of it. Sometimes things happen for a reason even though we don't know why. Love can be a powerful things both bad and good. This can be read anywhere and by anyone.

Harvest Moon is the third novel in the Riverbend Romance series. The focus of this book is on Gavin and his ex-wife Laurel. Although Harvest Moon is an enjoyable novel, I was a little disappointed. The usual strong community feel was just not there. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Denise Hunter has done it again. Throughout this whole series, I have grieved and laughed and felt I was with good friends. I can only imagine the pain a parent feels when they lose a child. To see Laurel and Gavin learn to forgive each, learn to express their feelings on situations and also towards each other, and how also grow closer together while taking care of their friend's child, this book was a very enjoyable read!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Thank you to NetGalley, Denise Hunter, and Thomas Nelson.

This was a great story! Laurel and Gavin are divorced living in different towns but not totally happy. Their two best friends are killed in a plane crash leaving a young daughter. Laurel & Gavin are named in the will as guardians for the girl. This story is about their journey back to each other.

My thoughts okay this one kind of freaked me out when it started as a pilot and his wife is killed in a plane crash and as fate would have it the name of the pilot and his wife was the name of my son and his wife. However once a story got going it was really good and I think that this book was my favorite out of the three in the series. I really loved the characters in their backstory in the way they interacted with each other in this book. Denise Hunter is one of my favorite romance authors and if you like romance you really should check her books out. I was given a copy free and all opinions are my own.

I just finished reading Harvest Moon from Denise Hunter's Riverbend series. I love this author so much, I am finding it hard to find new ways to express it. Denise gives us such interesting characters you are not going to forget them anytime soon. I enjoy the book in a series because we often return back to the same small town and we get to learn more about previous characters. With this book as well as others by Denise they work great as a stand along book too. I was so glad that this novel was about Gavin and his ex-wife Laurel. In the previous books we get to meet Gavin but it seems like nothing ever goes his way. We don't get to see all sides of his personality. Without giving anything away, I'll just say, I was very happy with the ending to this story. I would like to thank Thomas Nelson for allowing me to read and review this great book. The opinions in this review are my own.

HARVEST MOON is the third novel in the Riverbend Romance series by DENISE HUNTER and it is lovely to come across many of the characters from the first two books. However the book can easily stand alone. It is a most enjoyable and inspirational read with a really deep message about children, priorities, second chances and the need for forgiveness.
When the divorced Gavin and Laurel Robinson find they are named in their best friends’ will as guardians for their daughter Emma should anything happen to them, it is quite a shock. Will the Lord use this situation to help them get past their terrible grief at losing their three year old son Jesse, who was killed in an accident when Gavin was driving, and will the Robinson family ever forgive Laurel for the deadly depression Gavin went through as a result of losing her as well as their child?
The characters are well portrayed and we are drawn into their emotions. We see how Gavin neglects his wife in his determination to not end up a loser like his father and to provide her with everything she needs to make up for her difficult childhood, but instead adding to her sense of loneliness and rejection
Little Emma is delightful. We see her coming to trust “Waurel” and “Gabin”, who make her well being their priority, especially when Mallory’s sociopathetic mother puts a spanner in the works!…….
I am not going to tell you any more for fear of spoiling things for you.
I highly recommend Harvest Moon for the heartwarming story and subtle Christian message.
I was given a free copy of the book by NetGalley from Thomas Nelson. The opinions in this review are completely my own.

While I like this one better than the first one in the series. Even though I don't like second chance romances when it's because of divorce, I don't find them believable. And after reading this one. As well as a few other books by Denise Hunter, I have decided that she is not the author for me.

Denise Hunter is one of my favorite authors and I was very excited to read the final installment in the Riverbend series. After learning about Gavin’s tragic past, I was eager to read about his happily ever after. However, Harvest Moon begins with another tragic accident and the somber tone continues throughout the book. I didn’t feel like Gavin and Laurel had enough time together to renew their relationship and the ending seemed hasty.

This was another really good book. It’s pretty fast paced, hard to put down. We see some of the same characters from the previous book but get a more in-depth look at Laurel and Gavin. Their story is heartbreaking and hopeful at the same time. Great series
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the early copy

This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review. It is a cozy romance with likable characters...teenage romance...marriage...divorce...second chances...a little girl...parents...friendship and family...themes running throughout this novel written by a talented author. I like her books. This is a cannot put down book...until the ending is revealed. What will happen? Who will take the child? What will be the outcome of the orchard? What will the families think? Will there be arguing or rallying around each other? Mysteries...intrigue...wondering...hoping...misunderstandings...enjoy this book.

Yes! Another winner from Denise Hunter! You cannot go wrong if you want a heart-felt, heartwarming love story. She is the best, and just keeps getting better! I really liked the characters in this one, and when they got their happily ever after, I felt so joyous - like I was right there beside them! Definitely a perfect book and escape!

Denise Hunter once again has written a book I can’t put down until I finish.
This one is a departure from her usual in that it is deeply emotional. It deals with great loss, death, divorce and depression.
Laurel and Gavin were high school sweethearts. He is patient, kind and strong. Laurel is smart, but insecure. The story begins three years after their divorce with devastating tragedy but interjects flashbacks to earlier times that really make this story complete. They are thrown back together under circumstances out of their control.
There is a happy ending but before that there must be much forgiving, growing and reimagining of what life could be now.
This second chance at love is a lesson in how God can use circumstances to make us see things that we never could otherwise.
The child, Emma was a wonderful gift of light in a story that was often painful.
This is the last book in this wonderful series. I recommend reading them all.
Thank you to Net Galley for allowing me to read this book. The opinions are entirely my own.

This is the third book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone, but don't miss out on the other books.
I couldn't put this book down, I read it in just a few hours.
Gavin and Laurel have been divorced for three years, when tragedy strikes, they come together to take care of their friends daughter. Emma, is only three and doesn't understand where her parents are. The story is told by both, Gavin and Laurel, with snippets of their earlier years together. A book about grieving, relationships, selfless acts and forgiveness.

If you're looking for a book that paints a marriage in vividly, albeit tragically, realistic colors than this is the book for you. Harvest Moon comes as the third installment in Denise Hunter's Riverbend series.

Tragedy seems to follow Laurel and Gavin. A tragedy tears apart their marriage and leaves them both grieving alone after they agree to a divorce. Yet it is another tragedy that forces them together again after years spent apart.

This novel was such a beautiful reminder that God can turn the darkest of days into something beautiful and that He stands waiting to lavish us with forgiveness for our mistakes if only we reach out to Him.

Thank you for an advanced copy of this lovely book!

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.
Wow! I am blown away by this series and especially this book. A story of a precious life that was lost and how that tore two people apart.
When precious friends have a tragedy. Laurel and Gavin must come together and protect little Emma. Both love this little girl so much and Laurel and Gavin learn so much about each other and heal while watching this beautiful child.
This definitely brought me to tears but it is such a wonderful story of healing, forgiveness and love.

This heartfelt book is part of the Riverbend Romance series. This could be read as a stand along since there is enough back story, however, I highly recommend reading the earlier books, so you don’t miss out on the poignant stories of the others.

Practically from the first few paragraphs, this beautifully written story touched and grabbed my heart. It was impossible to put down until the very last page was turned.

Gavin Robinson is out hiking when his phone rings, a call that will change his life forever. Cooper, his brother who is a law enforcement officer, tells him a small plane crashed, and Mike, the pilot, Gavin’s best friend died, and his wife, Mallory is being air lifted to a hospital, however, she didn’t make it either.

Laurel Robinson, Gavin’s ex-wife, has been friends with Mallory since elementary school and they had remained best friends over the years. Laurel is up for a big promotion at the Biltmore Estate where she is employed, however, upon hearing the news of the accident, she packs a bag and is on the road, determined to take as much PTO and or leave as necessary. Both Gavin and Laurel are very concerned about Mike and Mallory’s 3-year-old daughter, Emma, who had been at home with a babysitter.

The next shock is when it was discovered in Mike and Mallory’s will that Gavin and Laurel are named guardians of Emma should anything happen to them. Quite certain there is newer version of the will, since they’ve been divorced, they discover the will they found is the only one. Together they immediately step up to care for Emma, however, fully anticipating that either Mike’s parents, or an Aunt Mallory was close to would want to raise Emma. They anxiously await hearing from them upon being notified of the death of Mike and Mallory.

I could hardly turn the pages fast enough as Gavin and Laurel faced one challenge and obstacle after another. Not only were they dealing with who would provide the long-term care of Emma, Mike and Mallory had an apple orchard that needed tending and apples were ready to be harvested.

This is one of the most emotional, and yet beautiful stories I’ve ever read. As Denise describes the various issues faced by Gavin and Laurel, I could feel their anguish as they put the welfare of Emma above all things.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I just love this Riverbend series and was glad to get to Gavin's story. He's been in the background on the previous books, we knew he was divorced and had lost a child, but didn't get the whole story until this book.

After the death of their best friends, Gavin and his ex-wife, Laurel, come together to take care of Emma. While learning they are named her guardians, they work through their past issues and are headed to closure finally, when life takes another twist.

This is a well written series and I just love all the characters. I hope the series continues!

Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.
