Robards makes a departure from her usual domestic thrillers to pen this nail biting historical saga. It’s 1937 in the Spanish town of Guernica when the world catches fire. Sibi and her family are caught up in the destruction and Sibi is saved by an American military attache named Griff, when he rescues her from the rubble. While Sibi and her sisters know the Nazis were behind the attack, Germany is denying any involvement. Griff convinces Sibi and her sisters to play dumb; if they identify the aircraft involved in the deadly airstrike as German, they will be silenced, permanently. Caught between her family and country and the love she feels for an American, Sibi will have to decide what matters most
