Thank you so much to NetGalley for sending me a copy of this book. I thought I was going to really enjoy this book but I ended up not really caring for it all that much. The Writing and the characters just ended up not being for me.

I need my own Corndog Pact!!!
This was a super easy and quick "guilty" pleasure book that I finished in one day!!
Josie, Ben & Kevin are friends from high school and quickly renew their friendship and come up with a reverse Threes Company. Josie's ex should have had a much bigger downfall - because he's jerk!! There were a few time's where her mom, may have needed a nice little smack in the mouth! Throw in a little mutual crushing and BAM - you have a light hearted fun sweet love story!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book!!! The narrator was phenomenal!

What a great love story!

I most enjoy a romance that features characters that feel flawed and relatable to me, and THE UNPLANNED LIFE OF JOSIE HALE drew me in right away.

The audiobook was narrated by Sophie Amoss and I really enjoyed her as a narrator choice for this book.

*many thanks to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

This was everything I wanted; corndogs, found family and second chance romance. Josie discovers she is pregnant after filing for divorce. She moves in with her two friends from high school and they make a pact to help each other get their lives together. I loved every minute. I just wanted to hug Josie, Kevin is a riot and Ben is a sweetie. I would definitely recommend this book. Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an arc in exchange for my honest review.

The Unplanned Life of Josie Hale by Stephanie Eding is a cute and relatable romantic comedy. I absolutely loved this book! Josie Hale is in her thirties and facing a divorce from her cheating husband when she learns she's pregnant. While at a fair, she bumps into her 2 guy friends from high school. This book follows her throughout her pregnancy and her friendships with the guys. The storyline is great. I could not stop reading it! I highly recommend this book to be added to your to read list!

I am a planner, so the title of this book drew me in right away. Life isn’t as expected, which Lucy and her friends have figured out. The bromance is hilarious, and I really rooted for Lucy and Ben. This was a great summer beach read!

This is such a good read. My first by Stephanie Eding and not my last.

Josie Hale feels like her life is just one dark cloud after another, with more trouble waiting around the next corner. The lastest... he husband is having an affair and she is pregnant! Staying with her parents is not an option since they are downsizing. She runs into two of her former high school friends and they give her the opportunity she is looking for, and on of them just happens to be an old crush.

This is such a great story. I love how it shows that life is not always what we plan, but can still be enjoyable. The dynamic of the three friends is great and the development of the romance was perfectly paced. This story is so much different than all the cookie cutter romances I've been reading lately, not that cookie cutter is bad, but it was nice to read something original. The narrator did a great job bringing Josie to life as well. I definitely will be picking up more books by this author.

This was interesting. I didn't really love the characters, but overall it was entertaining and fun. I think if you like romantic comedies this could be for you.

This is such a good book!!! I absolutely loved all aspects of the book. The blurb is so simple and catchy, it kept me hooked from page one.

Josie is a great main characters, and her friends Kevin and Ben are just awesome. The chemistry is so fun and cute, I can't think of anything wrong with it. Side characters like Josie's (ex)husband, mother, student, etc, add flavor and layers of drama, comedy, seriousness, etc

Eding has definitely mastered the right balance between a light, breezy page-turner, and the few heavy topics that she added to the mix.

People who like romances, comedies, friendships, revelations, drama, loads of giggly scenes, single moms, non-romantic student teacher relationships, and other similar tropes, you're in for a pleasant surprise...

GET YOURSELF THIS BOOK AND THANK ME LATER :P

I loved this book. I loved Josie. I loved Kevin. I loved Ben. And most of all, I loved the dynamic between the three. This was just such a fun and uplifting story. I devoured it in one sitting. It was a unique story that I haven't read yet. Lately it feels like a lot of books are following a cookie cutter mold and The Unplanned Life of Josie Hale completely broke that mold. Very refreshing.

Josie, Ben and Kevin are old friends going back to high school. After losing touch for a number of years, they find themselves in each other's lives again, this time as unlikely roommates.

This book had me laughing out loud at times. It was just a fantastic story. I finished with a huge smile on my face. The audio was great too. All in all, 4.5 stars!

This book made me feel all sorts of things - happy, angry, sad. I'll admit it had me crying at one point but I appreciate a book that can get to me shed tears.
As I was provided with an audio version of this, I want to say that I loved the narration and would gladly listen to it again in the future.

I love that after a crappy end to her marriage, Josie reconnected with her high school best friends. They were supportive and committed to making her journey into parenthood, a good one. The Corn Dog Pact is created and the three friends (Josie, Ben, and Kevin) set out goals for themselves.

If you love a slow burn, then this book is for you!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook.

The Unplanned Life of Josie Hale, by Stephanie Eding, is the story of Josie Hale and her return to her small Illinois town after the demise of her marriage when she discovers her husband, Grant, in the arms of a tech assistant at the veterinary clinic. Josie, a high school teacher, leaves her Chicago position behind and heads for oblivion at home.

On the day the two pink lines mock her, Josie runs into her high school best friend Kevin and her high school crush Ben at the local fair. Josie is after fair food, especially corn dogs, when she encounters the pair. As tense as things are at home, Josie never expected her parents to sell the family home or to move into a smaller condo. Even more so, Josie never ever thought she would be invited to share a house with her old friends, but that is exactly what happens.

This is such an interesting story of how friends become family and then can become even more. This is such an original tale looking at the repercussions and ramifications of life’s alternatives. So well told with imagination and heart. I very much enjoyed this book and I do recommend it!

The Unplanned Life of Josie is the perfect mix of a second chance romance and found family story. While in the process of divorcing her cheating husband she finds herself pregnant and alone. After moving back home she runs into two high school friends who offer to let her come live with them and the three of them make a pact to get their lives together.

I loved the characters in the novel. I loved that even though Josie hadn’t seen Kevin and Ben for over 10 years, they were quickly able to fall back into an easy friendship. I thought the banter between the 3 friends was witty and felt realistic for good friends. I loved how supportive of friends Ben and Kevin were. The characters were well developed and the side characters in the book were great additions to the plot.

The story was a bit predictable but it was still very enjoyable.

Overall, I liked the narrator. When I first started listening I thought she talked a little slow for my liking so I listened at 1.25 speed and really enjoyed it at that speed.

Overall, I really enjoyed this and its a 4.5 for me!
