Brianna (Bri) and Caleb (Cal) were young, in love and engaged but secrets, lies and lack of communication caused them to end their engagement. They each meet other people and got married but neither of those marriages lasted. Bri and Cal had their second chance at love. This book has a HEA and one I would recommend reading. Debbie Mason is a wonderful author of clean romance.

At Home on Marigold Lane (Highland Falls #5) by Debbie Mason is about Brianna MacLeod and her exboyfriend Caleb Scott. After almost dying by her husband's hand and then a messy divorce, Bri questions her life as a counselor, but everyday obstacles in her life change how she feels and how her life is lived.
If you are looking for a sweet second chance romance then this is the perfect book for you. I absolutely loved it!! Highly recommend.

This is another wonderful Highland Falls book. I love the mix of humor and romance in a small town setting. Bri is staying at the family inn while recovering from a traumatic brain injury and leg injury caused by her ex husband. One on of her rare trips out of the inn, she comes across her first love, Cal, at the grocery store and does her best to avoid him, since he is married to someone else. The road to recovery from her ex’s abuse and a second chance at romance is well written and I had my fingers crossed until the end about the subplot of fundraising for a trauma center.

I received a free copy of this book to review through NetGalley and am looking forward to the next book.

At Home on Marigold Lane brings us back to Highland Falls and some of my favorite characters from previous books in the series. Brianna comes home to Highland Falls to heal and recover following a traumatic accident. She not only has to deal with her health issues, but there are some family secrets that have recently been disclosed, forcing her to deal with the lies her mother told her growing up. Plus, her high school sweetheart and former fiancé, Caleb, is a doctor in town, someone she has been avoiding because she hasn’t forgiven him for breaking up with her ten years earlier. But he is trying to hide his own secret from the town council and community. With all the lies and secrets throughout the book, there is an underlying issue of domestic violence with a couple interesting twists being revealed near the end. Even with all the angst going on, this is a book about grace, forgiveness, family, and second chances at romance. Although each book can be read as a standalone, I love the entire series and do recommend reading them all.

A Highland Falls story that is a second chance at romance. Brianna and Caleb were high school sweethearts and thought they would have a perfect future. When they end up going their seperate ways, neither of them is really sure why. Each blames the other but the heart knows they can't forget each other. Both have moved on but not happily. Brianna returns back to Highland Falls after a very serious brain injury. She's dealing with a very concerned sister that is a bit "hovering" over her. It turns out that Caleb is the Dr. she needs to see in order to continue her recovery. And, just maybe they will get their lives back and her sister can finally go on her honeymoon.
Misunderstandings, secrets, family dedication and love, friendships and medical storyline along with romance and small town coziness & gossips, all made this an enjoyable story.

This is a second chance at romance story.

Briana MacLeod (orBri) is not happy to have to move home. This was the only way to keep her family from worrying about her. She need to recover from a near death experience.

Caleb Scott’s marriage is over. But he and his wife stay together in the same home for his step daughter.

After much turbulence in Highland Falls with family and towns people. Caleb and Bri finally get a second chance at love.

This story has a lot of twists and turns going on! I loved every page! Well done Debbie Mason

I like books by this author. I liked this book. The characters are likable and come alive on the pages. It is like reading a true story/nonfiction, while we know it is fiction...It could happen...it might happen...it probably does happen. The story moves quickly with friends and family caring about each other. Love and romance...romance lost...romance found...Recovering from her wounds, the protagonist just wants others to let her be...to quit hovering...they cannot help it...The story moves quickly...this book was sent to me by Netgalley for review...thanks to the publisher for the electronic copy. I look forward to more books from this talented and gifted author. She weaves a story that makes me want to settle in a comfy chair, grab a warm blanket, a cup of steaming herbal tea and settle in for the time it takes to read the book...or I go to the ocean, settle in a lawnchair...and get lost in her words.

This is the latest in the Highland Falls series. The plot is driven by the division in the town between building a trauma center or a casino. Because of a misunderstanding caused by the h’s mother, she breaks up with the H. The h comes back to town after suffering a TBI. She meets up with the H, who is now separated from his wife, but is pretending to still be married in order to get the trauma center built and not upset the stepdaughter that he loves. Everything comes comes out in the end, all the issues are finally resolved.

Debbie Mason writes the most entertaining stories. I have read all of the books in this series. I love that they are sweet, clean love stories with suspense, mystery, and a touch of clean passion. Talk about miscommunication, this book has lots of that. Between Bri and Cal (her first love), his current (soon to be ex-wife) Raine, his sister Em, Bri's (know-it-all) mother and her "two" fathers, it is mass confusion. Everyone jumps to conclusions. One thing is for sure, Bri and Cal still love each other. It does seem that the universe is conspiring against them though.

I received an ARC of, At Home on Marigold Lane, by Debbie Mason. As a therapist and marriage counselor you would think Bri would have the perfect marriage. Unfortunately Bri is back home following her divorce. Helping people is what Bri does, and loves to do, is she able to pick up the pieces and move on with her life?

This second chance romance is sweet and funny and heartwarming. The characters are endearing and I love the setting! Highland Falls is quaint and picturesque, and full of family, small town drama, and sweet but meddling neighbors.

You do have to suspend belief a tiny bit in some of the details as it leans towards the dramatic. But in a good way. It’s the kind of book that makes you feel cozy and happy.

This is the fifth book in the Highland Falls series and I’ve loved each one. You can reads them as stand-alone books, but I recommend reading the whole series. The books are such a delight. To me they are the perfect hallmark type romance.

I loved this return to Highland Falls! Brianna Mac!eod and Caleb Scott were high school sweethearts. Both blamed the other for their break-up, having no idea what really happened. This is a delightful story, full of misunderstandings, secrets, and lies, as they worked towards gaining truth, forgiveness, and second chances. There are plenty of emotional ups and downs, and surprising twists. It’s a charming, entertaining, and heartwarming read!

Lies, lies and more lies. Oh my goodness I can’t think when I’ve read a book where the main plot involves so many lies and then trusting the most inept people to be a part of the lies you’re telling others. I will start by saying this is the fifth book in a series but can be read as a standalone. I read and liked the second book but evidently haven’t kept up with this small town romance series. This one did not sit well with me and I kept waiting for the author to save it but that didn’t happen for me.

Brianna MacLeod almost died the previous year and is recovering from injuries and will be divorced any day. She’s come home to Highland Falls but is being smothered by her sister's attention. She ends up moving into a rental not knowing her old boyfriend Caleb Scott, whom she was engaged to, lives a few doors away. And his sister is going to be her new roommate. Turns out he’s “separated” from his current wife but they are living together as they are both doctors and want the local hospital to get the new trauma center they both want. They are also concerned about their teenage daughter who didn’t like the idea of them splitting up. Well it turns out that Caleb and Brianna learn they broke up over lies and now he can’t keep his lips off hers. Literally they don’t work at getting to know each other now after 11 years. It is jump right back to full on love. And then to top it off Bri is also a therapist and proceeds to counsel the sister, the wife of her not divorced boyfriend, their teenage daughter and even her own parents. It is over the top ridiculous. And in all that counseling no one ever thought to say come clean about all the lies. By the 90 percent mark I was angry I was still reading and the lies were still coming. And the ending did not resolve my issues with the storyline.

The last book I read by the author was a sweet Christmas romance so I know she can write. The cover gets a star for being adorable. I was going to go with 2 stars but I also take down a star for cheating. If you’re not divorced you’re not free to date. Obviously others are going to have differing opinions. This is a clean book for language. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever (Grand Central Publishing).
