I love this series by Iris Johansen. Although Eve doesn’t play a large roll in this book it is still a great story. Jane Caleb and MacDuff work to rid the world of evil men. Also there is a bit of a surprise news included. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Not as edge of your seat as some of the books involving these characters, but still a great addition and draws you in hook, line, and sinker!

This is the 29th installment in the Eve Duncan series by Iris Johansen. Eve’s adopted daughter, Jane, is currently staying at MacDuff’s Run in Scotland while her partner, Seth Caleb is on a mission in Africa. Caleb takes care of his target, but the target’s second in command, Bohdan, decides he must rid the world of Seth Caleb. Caleb is desperate to see Jane, but he is staying away from her until Bohdan is neutralized. Despite Caleb’s best efforts, Bohdan discovers his connection to Jane.

With her usual flare, Iris Johansen has penned another fascinating story. Even though this book is in the Eve Duncan series, Eve has more of a cameo appearance and this story is all about Jane and Caleb. With nail biting suspense, edge of your seat action, and shocking news, I highly recommend this novel.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of Captive by Iris Johansen that I read and reviewed.
This book is very fast paced and moves very fast with the plot and action. I really enjoyed how Jane and Seth’s story advanced in in this book. I love these two together and I also love McDuff and his character and what he adds to the books with these two.
This is another great book by Johansen that adds to the Eve Duncan family. I am giving Captive five out of five stars.

Caleb is back, trying to save Jane once again, and he gives her a mystery to focus on. Johansen quickly pulls the reader in with this action-packed spy thriller. It's best to have read at least some of the prior books in the series.

A riveting read as Jane entertains us with this new segment of her life. An amazing job from the writer as she captures our attention and catapults us through the chapter in this five star stunner!

What did I like? I love Jane and Caleb! His hunter prowess and her artistic temperament just spark the fire as these two find there way to be together! Non stop and action packed!

Would I recommend or buy? I have a shelf for this author and I’ve been a huge fan for years! Eve, Jane, and Kendra series are all fabulous! Always a thrilling ride!

I received a complimentary copy to read and voluntarily left this opinion!

What a great chapter for Jane and Caleb and their relationship.

With Caleb once again trying to protect Jane while he's awake helping MI6 McDuff is playing protector. He's decided to give Jane a mystery to focus on and to try to convince her, once again, that they are family. This time though they all might just receive a little more than they bargained for. Will Caleb and McDuff be able to keep her safe or will Jane have other ideas?

Read the current chapter including adventure, family and love.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

While Seth Caleb and Jane MacGuire are trying to enjoy a life together, Seth gets pulled into a mission for MI6. Seth crosses a treacherous leader of a powerful criminal empire who will stop at nothing to find what is valuable to Seth and take it away from him. Jane goes to stay with MacDuff where Seth feels she will be safe and not under the radar of ties to him., but things don’t go as planned.

We see a different side of Jane in this novel and love her passion to protect those she loves. I look forward to seeing where Jane’s adventures lead in the next sequel. Iris Johansen does it again with this novel and I highly recommend this author and this book.
