This psychological thriller will actually put you on the edge--this was actually really good!

The story starts with Natalie's roommate, Jade gone missing. Jade, Natalie, Susan and Grace have all met each other at a gym and the story is told from each of these women's perspectives, dividing between then and now. One of them could be a suspect with their own agenda of wanting Jade gone.

This thriller is actually fast paced which makes it more intriguing and interesting. What makes this thriller more fascinating is the fact that, Natalie, Susan and Grace could be all suspects. Natalie is a very unreliable character with troubled childhood and a problem of sleepwalking. Susan and Grace's husbands seemed to have had a tordid affairs with Jade which made both the women suspect as well. There were twists and turns, which is a plus sign of a thriller that made the reader wonder who could actually be the suspect and what really happened to Jade. The ending was what left me unexpected and this all made this book a great thriller to read.

If you are looking for twisted thriller which is unputdownable and will keep you on the edge, I would recommend this one--worth five stars!

Many thanks to Netgalley and Hera for ARC. The review is based on my honest opinion only.

🤯🤯🤯 <— this was my reaction throughout the whole book and this is now one of my best reads of 2022 so far - I was hooked from the beginning and it just got better and better! It’s predominantly written from the POV of three women that are definitely not friends and definitely suspicious of each other from the outset. But when their fitness instructor, Jade, goes missing, the tension rises between them and everyone’s secrets and dark pasts are slowly revealed 👀

It’s perfectly written and is filled with sooo many plot twists that I didn’t expect at all! It’s the first book I’ve read by A.A. Chaudhuri and it certainly won’t be the last. If you enjoy thrillers then definitely check out this book 😌

This is the second book I read from this author and it didn’t disappointed me. The characters are believable and interesting and the the story gets more intriguing each chapter and the reader doesn’t know who to trust. I’d definitely recommend this book.

It seems that I have been on a more psychological thriller kick here lately with my reading choices. I picked this up for review on NetGalley because it looked so good and I love a good mystery with a lot of suspects and this one seemed a perfect fit. In this book, we follow four friends, Natalie, Susan and Grace who all attend Jade’s fitness class. When Jade suddenly goes missing under mysterious circumstances, Natalie, Susan and Grace who all have secrets of their own come under suspicion during the investigation. It seems that Natalie, Grace, Susan and Jade all have secrets from their pasts that could come back to haunt them and put them under the direct spotlight of the police.

I liked this book. It kept my attention and even though I felt I predicted some of the plot twists in advance, it was still a good read. This story is told from each of the characters’ points of view, including Jade who is missing. We see glimpses of their pasts and their current lives come through, however there is not enough information to put everything together. It seemed that just when I felt like I had a handle on who might be the culprit, something would make me suspect another character and switch the storyline in a completely opposite direction. The ending was totally unexpected and fantastically well-done from a mystery standpoint.

This is the type of book where you don’t immediately connect with any of the characters. They all seem to be unlikeable in their own ways, but you spend the majority of the book trying to piece together their pasts and whether it plays into the current situation. It seems everyone has their own secrets and the author toys with the reader because you really don’t want to like them, but you can’t help but feel for them at the same time. If you like a good story told from several points of view with a lot of twists and turns, then this is one you should put on your reading list.

Jade goes missing and what happened slowly unfolds through the past and present stories of three of Jade's clients: Natalie, Grace, and Susan. They're each interesting but all so very different. Poor, poor Grace. Susan is absolutely wicked. And Natalie is a complete basket case.

I couldn't put this down. Whizzed right through it. The writing was excellent and flowed like a rapid river. The mystery was deep and so intriguing. I did not see the ending coming. Great twist.

Incouldnt put this down. It's the multiple character driven/ narrated book which seems to be the way everything is written these days but this one was done really cleanly without any confusion or overlapping. The characters voices are distinct so it's easy to follow and they were all were rounded and independant. The book is very much a psychological thriller and it really does grip you and has you wondering just what happene and who is hiding something. Some parts were slow but I still flew through it in a day or so and loved every second

Let's meet the cast or well I should say the main players in this book

We have Susan who is a wealthy, pampered, woman living her best life in kingston. or so she wants everyone to being. However there is a darkness and plenty of secrets that she is concealing behind all those diamonds.

Next we have Grace who is the newest member of the group. Grace seems like she has it all together. Living the perfect life. Being the perfect mum and the perfect wife. But all is not how it seems and noone really knows what happens behind closed doors.

Lastly we have Natalie. Who really likes to be on her own. She has had a bad childhood but is hiding all her pain of the past. Behind a seemingly perfect life.

All three women are totally different, all three women have their own troubles, all three women have their own secrets. But all three women are brought together by a weekly run class that they all attend. Which is run by Jade.

But suddenly jade goes missing, noone knows where she is or what has happened to her. It makes the three women go spiraling out of control and all those secrets that they have been desperately been keeping hidden start to unravel.

This is a really well written book. I do like a book that is told over multiple narratives. It has many twist and turns. Who can you believe when everyone is keeping secrets and secretly lying. What happened to jade?

If you like physiological thrillers. Don't miss this.

An immersive character driven novel. Three women from separate backgrounds find dri2ndahip in an exercise class. However, the instructor goes missing and one of the trio seems to have possibly do e a si interest act.

Slow start for me, but tension builds and it ends with a bang. Always a big fan of thrillers that look at friendships and the toxicity and complexity that can fester within them. It wasn't an un-putdownable one for me, but still good read.

It took me awhile to get into this book. There are several points of view and I kept getting confused. It has several twists but a lot of it was very slow. I found myself skimming over pages a lot.

This was my first A.A. Chaudhuri book and I will be coming back for more! This book got my attention from the beginning and laid a very intricate web of suspense throughout. The twist at the end was such a good pay off! Thank you to Netgally & Hera Books for the opportunity to read an ARC of “The Loyal Friend”.

Oh boy what a read! Right up my street.

Jade is the fitness instructor with the most unlikely group to teach.

Each and everyone of them holding so many secrets.

I love the way this is written, the reader is led down so many paths and just when you think you have worked it out, wham! We are off again.

I finished this with a sinking feeling.......knowing i had come to the end.

My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy and i have happily left my honest review.

Secrets, secrets, and more secrets!

Thank you NetGalley for providing this ARC!

Four women are brought together by their weekly exercise class.

Jade is the instructor, and Susan, Grace, and Natalie are members of the class.

But then Jade disappears. Who is responsible? Is she dead or alive?

All the hidden pasts of the women slowly unfold. How are the women connected? What are they hiding?

My mouth hung open at several reveals, and I was completely blindsided by others.

This was a 5 star read for me! I wanted more......

Highly recommend and I would definitely read more books by this author, A.A. Chaudhuri.

I loved this book. I love when more than one person has a secret that we can't wait to find out. I read a few reviews that said it was slow at first but I did not find that the case at all. Some didn't like the characters but we're not suppose to like everybody. I'm a huge fan of her work and if this is the first of her books you've read, I suggest you look up her others.

Twisty turny is good and this offers plenty twisty turny. Highly recommend. Would make a good summer read.

Wealthy, pampered Susan is living the perfect life in leafy Kingston. She’ll never let anyone see the darkness she’s concealing behind the diamonds and rosé.

Grace is new to the group, seemingly the perfect wife and mum. Yet no one knows the truth of what’s happening behind closed doors.

Loner Natalie hides the pain of her childhood behind a carefully ordered life. But how long can the past stay hidden?

Three unlikely friends, brought together for a weekly class run by beautiful, friendly, instructor, Jade.

But when Jade goes missing in mysterious circumstances, the group starts to unravel. And as their darkest secrets come to light, it seems that no one can be trusted. Even their closest friends…

My Novel Addiction! Wow. This is just my kind of book!… A brace yourself and buckle up read! Wow… Fantastic… All guns blazing from the very start… I was glued to each page….
