This is good book. Red Stone is a family within the company and as they add to it each person is a great addition.

Juan and Gia are family and as Juan goes off in his honeymoon Gia starts having some problems. With her brother away his best friend and new employee of Red Stone, Lawson and Red Stone steps up to protect her.

There's a lot to this book so you don't want to miss it.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely love this series! I have read all of them. Just another wonderful read to add to the amazing ones before. This is Gia and Lawson's story. Filled with suspense, and the famous trope, " I can't date her because she is my best friend's little sister" is at play here. However, Lawson has feelings for her that override that, and eventually, the two get together. Loved it!

Gia is helping a friend launch her clothing line and one of the videos she makes goes viral. Gia never wanted to be a model - she prefers working on the marketing side of things - but that doesn't stop someone from stalking her as a result of her instant fame. Her brother's best friend Lawson takes protecting her safety very seriously. He's wanted Gia for years - but she's off limits because of his friendship with her brother. But while he's protecting her the nature of their relationship changes and turns into much more.

I really liked Gia - she is down-to-earth - fun and spunky. And unlike some Katie Reus heroines she didn't have too many TSTL moments. Lawson is great - but I have to admit being kind of over the "i can't touch her because of my friendship with her brother - I'm not good enough..." thing. If an author is going to take that trek - I'd like the hero to realize early on that they can take that step as long as they aren't going to be a user and a player with the sister or at the very least - acknowledge the sister's right to make her own damn decisions.

Overall - this is a good addition to the red stone security series - but not my favorite one.

I received this as an ARC via NetGalley, but these opinions are all my own.

ARC received for review

Another good book in this series. I'm starting to get a little lost with trying to remember the previous peeps/relationships from the first 17 books. But Gia and Lawson make up for that.

Soon their chemistry ignites as does the danger . Lawson knows he'll do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves so they can have a life together . The alpha protector will stop at nothing to protect his best friend's sister (the woman of his fantasies) from her stalker. As the story develops, so does their sizzling chemistry. Real emotions, steamy dialog, edge of your seat nonstop action, and a twist. Everything combined for another excellent Katie Reus read.

Gia has her own job and enjoys working, but when she is asked by a family friend to model a bathing suit, she agrees to help her friend out since she is just starting out. Gia is not a skinny model she is a woman who has curves and when she at first is embarrassed, she realizes that her friends’ suits are actually made more for women like her and she begins to feel comfortable. Everything is good until the photos end up on the internet and she then has a stalker.
Lawson who is her brother’s friend and someone she has always been attracted to is hired for security. This is a problem for Lawson because he has always liked her as well. Now as he thinks he should stay away from her he wants to protect her and Gia wants him to step up and follow his feelings or she will find someone else. Read and see what happens between these two and the surprising person was the stalker. Very much a good with good characters.

Overall a good story with a solid romance. Guarding Her is the story of Gia and Lawson. Lawson thinks Gia is not for him since he is best friends with her brother. But he has to keep her safe and love enters the mix.

Gia enjoyed her quiet life but after volunteering to model a new swimwear line for a friend her life was turned upside down. Her photos and videos went viral and put her in the spotlight more than she liked. Suddenly she has an enemy who is trying to kill her. With her brother out of town on his honeymoon, she turns to his best friend Lawson for help.
Lawson knew Gia was off-limits, but he had fallen for her anyways. When a stalker targets her, he knows he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe. Keeping his hands off her was almost impossible especially when she constantly tests his control.
Guarding Her is part of the Red Stone Security series which has been an awesome series. I love the intrigue and how easy the books are to read. The book was well-written and fast-paced, and I didn’t want to stop reading. It’s a best friend's younger sister trope that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I loved the characters and how genuine they were. This was a delightfully entertaining book, and I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Gia finds herself in the spotlight after agreeing to model her friend’s new line of clothing. However, her new found stardom is not without complications, and someone is out to get her. Lucky for Gia, Lawson, her brother’s best friend, will stop at nothing to protect her.

Both Gia and Lawson are both such likable characters. The stalker adds a bit of mystery and danger and sets the scene for this couple to become much more than friends. I always enjoy Katie Reus’s books; her writing is consistently great and her strength is developing her characters and making me truly care about them.

Another great book by this author!

Guarding Her is the 18th book in Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series. I have never read a book in this series or by this author. However from what I could tell each story could be read as a standalone. A fast paced stalker suspense romance that keeps you engaged not only on the main characters stories but also the supporting characters. The romance is sweet and steamy at times. With an intriguing plot that keeps you turning the page.

Gia works from home as an illustrator and doesn’t go out much. With her brother’s wedding and fighting her attraction to her brother’s best friend Lawson. She has enough to think about. Especially after he sends her mixed signals and tells her their kiss was a mistake.

Gia decides to move on. But what happens when she receives unwanted fame from a viral video of her modeling her friends collection as a favor? A fame that comes with a stalker, threats and attacks on her safety? From being slapped, unwanted messages and break ins?
She turns to Lawson to keep her safe. But the forced proximity makes it difficult to keep their mutual attraction at bay.
But Lawson doesn’t mix business with pleasure so he puts a pause on whatever is happening between the both of them. Being her bodyguard and keeping her safe is more important. Giving them time to get to know one another better.

I love how despite the attraction they’ve had for one another for so long they didn’t just jump into a instalove relationship. The sparks were flying.

I enjoy the twist and turns and the reveal about the stalker was ohh wow. It was an enjoyable read and I recommend it to anyone who wants a quick fast paced read that has a bit of suspense, drama, forbidden love and HEA.

Whenever one of Katie Reus’ covers turns up on Netgalley I just have to request it. Red Stone is one of her series, and the stories can be read totally independently. But I like the fact that some of the characters of the other books turn up in the story.

For instance, the dog that Gia gets is from the shelter where Mila works (from Secret Enemy). And Lyosha helps out Lawson to try to find the stalker.

In this story it is Gia who is stalked by some creepy guy. She turns to Lawson, her brother’s best friend for help. And although they feel attracted to each other, they try to keep everything in the friend’s zone. Because Lawson doesn’t want to endanger his friendship with his friend. And Gia doesn’t want to take sides between her brother and Lawson.

But when the threats are getting more serious, Gia needs a place to hide. And Lawson, as an employer of Red Stone Security gets tasked with being her bodyguard. Well… we’ve all seen the move The Bodyguard…

As usual, suspense, steamy and unexpected twists and turns. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

I continue to enjoy the Red Stone Security series and Guarding Her was a great addition! You get a bodyguard/brother's best friend romance that really worked for me. Lawson and Gia were great! I loved that Gia was a realistic sized model and that she wasn't really into modeling, but that her natural zest for life and desire to help her friend's swimsuit line succeed really shone through in photos! Lawson was a good hero-at first he was determined that he could never be with Gia because her brother Juan would hate him. Once he gets over that, he then realizes he can't be with her because she is now his client as he has been assigned to protect her.

These book, including Guarding Her, are quick and easy reads! If you like protector romances, I recommend this series!

This is book 18 in the Redstone Security series but it can absolutely be read as a standalone, although I recommend these books for anyone who likes romantic suspense! Gia is an illustrator who has been thrown into the limelight by modeling her friend's clothes for her. She has never had any desire to be a model or be famous, she was just in it to have fun and try on beautiful clothes. But now she has a target on her back and someone is out to hurt her. And she has no idea who it could be. Lawson knows that Gia is off limits as his best friend's sister. Even if she is the woman he dreams about. But when she is targeted, nothing will stop him from protecting her. Not even her brother. And no matter how much he wants her, her safety comes before anything else.

I loved most of this story. Gia and Lawson are phenomenal together, especially once he gets his head out of his butt! I loved their chemistry and their friendship, and I loved how much Lawson is willing to go through just to see her safe. The thing that slightly threw me off was the side story with Clarita. I was thrown off with the addition of a story for a second couple. I wasn't sure which story I wanted to read about more! I really wish that Clarita and her husband's story had been a separate book or novella as it threw me off this one slightly. Other than that, I loved this story! Gia is funny and sweet but she can also be tough when she needs to be as well. Lawson has this protective streak a mile wide but he isn't afraid to face his fears and feelings when he needs to. They are perfect together and you could tell just by reading it. The stalker was someone I wasn't expecting with a twist I didn't see! But it was great and I loved how it played out! Another win for me!

Another great Red Stone story. The plot on this group recently released stories is starting to become too predictable. If you read one of the stories you've read them all. Still though the reader is in for a great action suspense love story where the big security man has to save the endangered heroine. .

Another great read. Never disappointed with this author. Gia is being stalked but by who? Lawson has lusted after his best friends sister for years. When he’s given the opportunity to be her bodyguard, can he separate the job from his feelings, because if he can’t he could get her killed!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Gia agrees to model her friends clothing line for her but she never expected a video of her modeling a swimsuit would go viral. Not only does it get great comments but a few bad ones as well and one person in particular has become obsessed with her overnight fame and is not happy about it.

Lawson likes Gia and finds her attractive but she's his best friends sister so that means she's off limits. When his best friend get married and goes off on his honeymoon, Lawson takes it upon himself to keep Gia safe when a series of bad things happen to her. Lawson works for a security company so he knows how to keep her safe but when Gia's brother finds out that his sister and Lawson are staying at his place alone, he is not happy about it.

I liked being in the stalker's head and reading what he was thinking. It's always interesting to see how far they will go but even though we could see what he was thinking, I had no idea who it was until it was revealed.

Having Gia and Lawson thrown together in order to keep her safe was a great way to force them to see how much they felt for each other. I liked the romance and the stalker scenes. It was a fun read with the danger and romance taking place.

Although Gia and Lawson were great together, I wasn’t completely invested in them.

Gia finds herself in the spotlight after doing a favor for a friend. She also acquires a stalker in the process and Lawson is determined to keep her safe, but he is finding it harder and harder to keep her at arms’ length.

Guarding Her is book 18 in the Red Stone Security series. This is the only book in the series that I’ve read so far, and while this works well as a stand-alone, I do feel like I missed something. I had no idea who any of the other characters were and I think I might’ve had a better experience if I had read the previous books.

Gia and Lawson had great chemistry, but because of Lawson’s friendship with Gia’s brother, it took them a while to give in to the attraction. Ultimately, I was more interested and invested in what was going on between Carlos and Clarita, who weren’t the main focus of the book. I feel that diverted a lot of my attention away from Gia and Lawson. The short chapters from the stalker’s point of view added a bit more thrill to the story.

I enjoy Katie Reus’s books and I can recommend her books if you like steamy romance with suspense. I think I’m going to tackle this series from the start.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
