Tom Gauld is consistently hilarious. I like to use his comics as background on my computer at work. This is a great gift for anyone who works in books.

This book just wasn't for me. I tried to get into it, but couldn't. I really couldn't say what specifically I didn't like. It just didn't hold my interest.

Tom Gauld's stuff is a hit or miss for me but often a hit. A long form collection of his works like this is a less preferable format for me than organic discovery of individual strips.

A fun collection for people familiar with the book-slinging profession. I'm not sure how widely enjoyed it will be outside of librarians or booksellers but I'm glad to have read it.

I am a new fan of Tom Gauld, I cannot wait to read more. This was delightful and as a librarian very much appreciated.

As a both a long-time lover of Tom Gauld and books, "Revenge of the Librarians" was a delight! Gauld's classic style is back with charming comics celebrating literature. The perfect gift for any librarians in your life!

Prolific readers, regardless of their day jobs, will find this delightful! The theme is most jokes about literature, not librarianship; not having read all the "classics," I recognized there were panels I didn't fully "get."
Most scenes are a single box or, at most, a few frames on a single page. Great for putting down and picking back up-- long stretches of reading time not required. A great gift for the Lit Major in your life, or add to a stack of quick reads in your guest bedroom. Suggest to readers who connected to [book:Book Nerd|49150986] and [book:Book Love|39296114].
(I didn't get to the eARC from NetGalley before it very quickly archived, so borrowed the print from my public library.)

It’s the holidays and this is PERFECT for any literary friend in your life. The graphic and images are also fantastic for the budding artist in your life.
***I received a free copy of this e-book from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.***

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of cute fun cartoons about books, writers, readers, and librarians. Some of the cartoons take place during Covid and the lock down. As a reader I identified with lots of the humor, esp the problem of having too many books and what to read. This book will make a wonderful gift. Enjoy

As a librarian and self-proclaimed book nerd, I absolutely loved this collection of book nerdy comics. If you're a big reader or aspiring writer or both, you're definitely going to laugh out loud. A a word to the wise: Google the ISBN number in the last comic for an added bonus joke ;-)

This one missed the mark for me. I work in a public library, and found these little comics not super entertaining, but I do think those who are not in the field might enjoy this one.

Cute and engaging! There were definitely a few worthy of getting pinned to my bulletin board. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

A cute look into librarian life
not relevant to others who may not know anything about libraries
Reminded me of Library memes on Instagram but not as funny or relatable;/

Big thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Overall, I think that was fun. I had a few issues but not enough to detract from the book as a whole. I think this would a good addition to a collection that had similar titles.

Revenge of the Librarians was a delight! Charming illustrations paired with smart anecdotes that made me chuckle and want to pass the book on to my librarian friends.

An excellently curated collection of the work of a master of his artform. Gauld's comics are insightful, thought-provoking, and devastatingly funny.

Thanks NetGalley for the ARC!
I am a little disappointed with this book. While some of the comics are fun and funny, the formulaic nature of the comics got tiring and repetitive after a while.

A fun book with cute drawings. It seems like a niche topic in some ways, bu there are comics in there anyone could enjoy.

Revenge of the Librarians is a charmigly irreverant romp for writers and literary-types. This collection includes over 150 Tom Gould comic strips, and pokes fun at everything from "six-word stories," to writer's block, to Karl Marx. This should be a staple in librarys' graphic novel/comics collections, even if the librarians are the only ones who read it (and how could they not with that title?).
