Although this book was predictable at every turn. The many Dates of Indigo was relatable because all women in their 30's that aren't married tend to feel the pressures of not being married yet or not yet starting a family. A cute read. I just wish it had more shock appeal.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an arc in exchange for an honest reivew.

This book was so cute!!! Indigo has my heart, and this is an enjoyable read for anyone looking for a fun and short read. I can't wait to read more from the author!

I actually didn’t care for this book I couldn’t concentrate on it and I kept zoning out on it because I thought it was boring. It just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing this ARC.

Standing on the sidelines of her sister’s third baby shower with her thirtieth birthday around the corner, Indigo is feeling the pressure about one thing she hasn’t yet mastered: a healthy, long-term relationship. As owner of Houston’s hottest destination for luxury shoes and accessories, Indigo excels at finding clients the perfect shoe, but she's having a hard time finding a partner who is her perfect fit.

Although, I liked this book; I would not say I loved it. Unfortunately, this book was very predictable and there was never a shock factor. This was definitely a comfort read with zero anxiety and anticipation, but it could have been better with a few surprises along the way. If you are looking for a fluffy romance and a strong female lead, I would recommend this read.

I really enjoyed this book! Indigo was definitely my favorite character, and I really related to the pressures of turning 30. Tate was not the most likeable character, but his presence didn't ruin the book for me.

Indigo feels her internal clock ticking as she's close to 30, and although she's never felt a rush to find the "one", her family's pressure on her is another thing. Indigo was a really great character and she was so easy to love. I think the one she picked (wink) was the perfect choice for her and I loved this journey of hers!

This novel took me awhile to finish (slow burn will do that sometimes) but I thought it was an interesting read. Indigo is written as independent woman with bad taste in men or at least in my opinion and we come along for the journey of self discovery. Not sure how I felt about the ending 😕

Special thanks to the author, publisher, and @netgalley for my advanced readers copy!!!

This was a pretty easy read and although I enjoyed the premise. The book was kind of predictable. It started out well, got a tad boring, then the ending turned out exactly like I expected.

Indigo was about to turn 30 when the pressures of being single started to weigh on her heavily. Everyone around her including her family were more concerned with her not having a man than she was. Soon the pressure from her family in regards to her loneliness made Indigo feel it was time to date again. She was already happy, successful, and independent but now she needed to seal the deal with a man she could start a family and build a life with.

Her choice of men weren’t so great. Nathan seemed nice until he mentioned his addiction. At that point Indigo was ready to run in the other direction. He actually seemed boring compared to Diego so I can see why she didn’t think things would work between the two.

Can we just say I didn’t like Diego from the start though. The whole open relationship thing and him not feeling the need to tell her he had a girlfriend or shall we say girlfriends. I couldn’t understand what she saw in him because he was rude, nonchalant, and a little too carefree for my taste.

Now I knew how things would play out between her and Tate from the beginning. Going from childhood friends to lovers only for Indigo to end things between the two over a kept secret. You could tell they both still had feelings for each other and had some unresolved issues from the past. Especially with how Tate’s attitude changed up when it came to Indigo dating again. It was the dead giveaway and they both annoyed me. Just confess how y’all feel already.

I did have mixed feelings about the ending and what lead up to it. None of the guys were good picks except Tate and I really didn’t like him. The book was kind of meh doesn’t really excite or shock you much with anything that occurred. But overall it was just okay I probably would’ve had different feelings had things not been predictable.

This was my first Amber Samuel book and I’m sure that it won’t be my last. A quick, easy enjoyable read which I think would be fun for anyone.

This is my first time reading anything by Amber D. Samuel. The cover for this book is an attention getter. I will be reading more books from this author. This is an entertaining, witty, easy read with great characters and a great plot. Indigo is fast approaching her 30th birthday. She has her own successful business, she is happy in her life, she a strong and independent woman, friends and family yet she has no man in her life. She hears the constant whispers of why she has no man in her life and being not married. Indigo is best friends with Tate and he is always there for her. Tate and Indigo both love each other and can’t seem to see what is right in front of them. Indigo is already for the dating world. Nathan is a mechanic an ok but just not for Indigo. There the Diego who is a lawyer who is also ok but not for Indigo and then there is Owen who could possibly fit the bill but again not for Indigo. This is a great read; I loved the camaraderie between Indigo and her family and her seeking out Mr. Right. I know you want to know who Indigo ended up so, for answers pick up your copy. You will not be disappointed.

I received an ARC via NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Book Group, W by Wattpad Books and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

The Many Dates of Indigo by Amber D. Samuel
⭐️⭐️⭐️ / Pages: 302 / Genre: Romcom

Indigo Clark is an accomplished independent woman who is finally ready to share her fabulous life with someone worthy. Now that she’s finally open to dating again, she finds herself with two suitors who seem up to the challenge. And then there’s Nate, her BFF and former ex. It’s obvious they never got over each other and it becomes increasingly annoying that they don’t just get together already. I mean, what kind of best friend (who was once your lover) lives across the street from you, you have keys to each others houses and pop in and out unannounced all the time, and you cuddle up together on the couch watching Netflix. They do all this and still consider their relationship just friends. 🙄

I guess the slow burn is the point of this romcom but, meh, I didn’t find the characters and situations compelling enough to make the frustration exciting and enjoyable like some other books I’ve read.

Another in the not for me column. I hated all the characters, but I also didn't like the writing style, so a double whammy there for me. I thought it was really obvious who the right person for Indigo was going to be, but also that one of the "wrong" options was also so obviously terrible that I didn't understand why she was even entertaining the idea that he might be the one. And Indigo herself wasn't always the nicest person to the people she was considering either. Hey ho.

This was such a feel good book and I enjoyed it a little too much.
The style of writing was good and easy to understand.
Indigo and Tate’s friendship was beautiful to read about. How they supported and genuinely cared for each other.
It’d have been great to read more about their previous relationship though.
In all, The Many Dates of Indigo is a great book and I think this is one of the best time of the year to read it.

I enjoyed this book so much. From page one Indigo was killing me. I laughed at her antics of her with her friends and family, This was just pure fun with some serious moments

It is very clear that Indigo and Tate need to be together, I mean they are adorable together and they are already and always giving off couple vibes.

Indigo family reminds me of my own- always teasing and playing with each other but in a loving loud and sometimes rude way - it's all caring and everyone knows this.

I loved that the family arguments weren't a big deal because that's how families are sometimes

Indigo dates and the men in her life are such an ideal situation for us single gals. trying to find the one and figure out what works and doesn't work for you.

The one thing I wish for his read is if the men's finally had happened throughout the book as opposed to all at the end. we know who she ultimately would end up with but I wish there was more of a realization in the middle and a bit more internal struggle for Indigo throughout as opposed to a reaction to being single again

But beyond on I had a blast reading this and would recommend it to anyone

This story is filled with most of the realities women face daily. One is, you're almost thirty, when are you getting married? Indigo faces this issue from all aspects of her, especially from her family. Her mother is hosting her thirtieth birthday, so she must decide who she's bringing along for the party. But there's no one except for long-time best friend Tate — who she's just friends with. Along the line, Indigo meets the sexy mechanic Nathan and hotshot lawyer Diego. With these two in the mix, who will she pick? This was a fun read, and I enjoyed seeing Indigo taking her time to make a choice rather than focusing on who everyone thought was right for her. The only thing I didn't like was who she ended up with, but the book is still a five-star for me!

I really like the book I gave it four stars because it wasn’t everything that it could’ve been. It had a lot of potential to be a five star read for me that doesn’t mean that I did not enjoy the book that because I definitely did.

Indigo has seemining mastered it all: she owns her own thriving business, she can cook, she's self sufficient, she's fashionable...she has a great circle of friends. But at 30, what she does not have, is a significant other.

This was a quick read over the weekend. Let me start by saying this is a CLEAN romance. There is no spice. Spice level zero.

That being said, it was a cute story! PRedictable ending of course, but that's how a cute rom/com is supposed to be.

Thank you to Net Galley for the Arc of this book. All opinions are my own.

I loved this book! Indigo is turning the "dreaded 30" and is search of a real connection with a man. In short, she's looking for "that person". Someone she can be with till the end of time and have a life and a couple of kids. Not hard to ask for, but it is! Meanwhile, Tate, Indigo's best friend is doing what he does best, which is take care of Indigo despite how he really feels about her! He loves her! It is clear that Tate loves Indigo and that Indigo loves Tate, but Indigo is determined to ignore those feelings for Tate. Until she can't anymore.

Through out the book, I just wanted to shake Indigo and say "girl, stop searching, your man has been with you all along". But like some people, they have to find out the truth on their own.

Thank you Netgalley and Wattpad for my e-arc in exchange for an honest review of The Many Dates of Indigo.

I think this book had so much potential. I was drawn to the book based off the cover alone! I liked that Indigo was an independent black female who came from a 2-parent household and her parents were successful. I liked that she had healthy relationships with her family and a successful business.

Indigo's character wasn't very dimensional for me. I felt like there really wasn't much to her outside of her boutique and her dog. Every chance available, there was a nod at what she was wearing and how her hair was. She definitely played it safe.

The story started off strong...I was laughing and slowly becoming invested in the story. Then it got a bit wordy and lengthy. I was enjoying the parts with Nate, but easily figured out that he wouldn't be the one for Indigo. I knew from the beginning that she would end up with Tate. I did not enjoy the scene with her mother when she was on the date with Diego. That may very well be a personal thing...if her mother knew something about Deigo that could potentially keep her daughter from making a bad decision, then why not express it. Why allow her to explore the possibility of a relationship if you already had an inside scoop of how his character was.

At times Indigo felt very young minded.

The end of the book picked up and ended on a pretty good note. I could have done without Indigo's big secret. Like, why tell your mom your big secret at your birthday party. It just didn't make much sense.

The flow of the book started off well, but I was easily lost in the conversations when there were multiple people. There was a lot of jumping around, scenes and conversations.

Overall, this was a book I could have done without. I would classify it as a woman's fiction book with a young woman coming into her own.

I would recommend others to read this if they enjoy a slower paced book about a young entrepreneur finding herself while "dating."

I gave this one 2.5 stars.
