This is a cute story about a Mother’s love for her child. She explains that she loves them forever no matter what and I think it’s a good concept for kids to hear and understand. The beautiful illustrations help to tell the story. The rhyming helped the story flow as well. The story is also about God’s love for children.

Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for access to this ARC.

I received an electronic ARC from Thomas Nelson: CHILDREN'S through NetGalley.
First, I love the opening and closing pages where families can write down special information about the child who receives this book. Seibert's rhyming text captures both a parent's love and the broad love of God. Lovely illustrations bring the words to life for young readers.
This is a lovely book to purchase for a new family or for parents to purchase and share with their young (and not so young) children. The emphasis on love and acceptance helps children feel they belong.

Mama, sing my song is a wonderfully illustrated book and is built up in rhymes. Such a great book to read for children. Even as a non-believer of God, I found this book to be quite good.

I smiled a lot while reading this, and I can imagine that it will be a good read to young children, as it encourages and builds up the bond between the child and the parent.

The book also features small paragraphs where the parent can write, e.g “My hopes and dreams for your life” and “A word or verse I speak over your life”, to the child to read while they are young and for them to look back on. I think this was quite clever.
