As far as management books go, Laraway does a great job balancing information and keeping it personable and engaging. I recognize that his experience is in the corporate world, but I'd have loved to see how it could be played out in government/education/non-profits.

Russ Laraway, a legendary Silicon Valley manager, outlines a framework for managers to create happier, more engaged teams using three core principles: providing clear direction, offering frequent coaching, and supporting employee career growth. Laraway provides research to support his approach, which I appreciate.

Sincere thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for an advanced listener copy in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you so much to MacMillan for the chance to listen to this audiobook prior to release.

First off, the narrator did a great job and the audiobook was ways to listen to.

As far as the content goes, it was hard for me to get into. I have a bachelor's in business management and still found much of this a little boring and over convoluted.

There were still some great takeaways and I think a lot of people will benefit from this book.
