I love that Ms. Adams didn't rely on any of the usual miscommunication / unhad conversations tropes and showed two characters building a true relationship. This book was really enjoyable!

America's Sweetheart needs a break. She finds that break when her car breaks down in Rome, Kentucky. Incredibly charming!

I adored this book by Sarah Adams! Noah is such a dreamy lead male character and the love of Audrey Hepburn that Amelia has is so relatable. The supporting cast of characters and small town setting felt so authentic and warm. The tender way Noah’s grandmother is discussed and handled broke me. My own grandmother has dementia, not Alzheimer’s, but that’s plot point felt so relatable and well crafted. Caring for a loved one who doesn’t always know you is so challenging and so hard to articulate and that plot point, coupled with how much I loved Noah already, pushed me into five star territory. Noah is my favorite book male I’ve read in a long time.

Not a bad read! It was a great book to break up my heavier more involved books. Cute quick reads like this I love personally. It’s like a made for tv movie.

I am officially a BIG Sarah Adams fan! I love her writing. She somehow perfectly develops both female and male characters. Her supporting characters are also equally charming and interesting. I love this family. I am irrationally invested in their happiness.

This was my first Sarah Adams book and I was really excited to read it after the hype that The Cheat Sheet receives. I was not disappointed. I could totally see this being made into a Hallmark Movie. The main characters, Amelia and Noah are the absolute cutest. I fell in love with them quickly. The writing in this book is well done. I caught myself smiling and giggling at the banter more than once.

Amelia is a pop star that was so stressed out she ran away to hide before her tour. An absolute catastrophe of a day happens and she meets Noah, the grumpy Pie Shop owner in the extremely small town of Rome, Kentucky. Stuck in town for a bit, the town grows on Amelia. While I love the main characters, it was easy to love the side characters too. Annie was my favorite secondary character in the whole book.

Such a cute book!! Loved the plot and how she wanted to escape her current situation. She got a taste of another life and what it could be like. The sisters were a great add to this story & so fun!

This was a really cute read, but I think that everything just moved WAY too fast for me. They barely knew each other for a week and were already head over heels in love with each other (while denying their feelings, not because it was too soon but because they didn't think they could make it work with their lifestyles). I really liked the premise, and I liked the characters overall, but I wish there was a little more time actually developing the characters and their relationship. I do think it was still a fun read, and it was light and easy, but I still was hoping for just a little more depth.

Sarah Adam’s is the queen of quick wit and laughs. When in Rome didn’t disappoint!

Rae Rose is burnt out on rockstar life. She wants to be free of the demands, pressure, and paparazzi. She escapes to Rome… Kentucky. Her beat up (blending in) car breaks down in front of Noah’s house.

Full of grumpy, sunshine, family and laughs, u
You won’t want to miss this!!

I absolutely adored this book. Amelia actually gave me Taylor Swift vibes, and it was just so nice to have a musician represented in this way in a novel! The characters were charming, the storyline was believable and sweet, and it was just an all-around perfect setting for a small-town getaway romance.
I have already recommended this book to everyone I could. It's just such a quick and wholesome read!

Tale as old as time where a big shot wants to get away from it all in a small town and ends up finding more than she bargained for, LOVE. I finished this book quickly as it was terribly cute and sweet. Thank you to NetGalley and Random House for a copy of this book for an honest review.

Sarah Adams is a go-to favorite author of mine and When in Rome was yet another lovely read by her! I absolutely loved this story and the characters. This was such a cute and delightfully cozy read to curl up with.

This was a classic opposites attract rom-com between a burned-out pop star and a small-town baker that had me rolling on the floor laughing. It was witty and fun and sucked me right in from the start. And the characters, oh how I loved them and their banter! They were so relatable and I enjoyed coming alongside them every step of the way. I'm such a fan of small town stories and all of the crazy people in Rome, KY were just wonderful to read about.

Truly the perfect, closed-door, rom-com, this is one that I will highly recommend! I absolutely cannot wait for more from Sarah Adams.

Many thanks to Random House for the gifted e-copy!

I really liked the audiobook of her novel The Cheat Sheet and this one did not disappoint. Love love loved the voice of Noah! I wish more chapters had been from Noah's POV.

Thank you to the author and Random House Pub for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was such a cute book. This is my first by Sarah Adams and definitely not my last. Amelia and Noah fought it hard but couldn’t deny their attraction to each other. I loved their banter so much. This small town/celebrity/grumpy and sunshine romance was delightful. Four stars
