Unfortunately I DNFed this, it just didn’t catch my attention and maybe I’ll get into it again when I’m in the perfect headspace to give this another try! But I would buy and recommend this to others definitely!

This book begins with Rae Rose, celebrity pop-star wanting to get away from her busy life and accidentally ending up stranded on the lawn of certified grump and pie shop owner Noah Walker.

These two had such good chemistry. I loved their back and forth and I was really rooting for them by the end. I can definitely see this being turned into a movie.

When in Rome was a book I waited way too long to read! As a kid I always wondered what it would like to be a famous person, but I can't imagine the stress it must give you. So I could definitely understand that Amelia wanted to flee for a bit. Feeling like your life is being controlled must be so suffocating.

Rome, Kentucky sounds like a great small town and I have to say I fell in love with it. The cast of side characters made this story so much fun and made it seem like a place I would want to live in. Amelia and Noah have a grumpy/sunshine romance.It wasn't over the top though. Noah had been through some things with a previous relationship and I could definitely understand his look on love. Amelia was very pleasant and was open for new experiences. I love how she slowly broke down his walls, because the chemistry was there from the start.

There was a twist and some drama near the end, but it wasn't like we see in a lot of other romances and it fit the story for me. I loved how everything came together near the end and was sad when it was over. When in Rome had me smiling often and I was invested in these characters. I'll definitely be reading more by Sarah Adams.

A very fun read. The motive? I am saying a little overuse but I do not hate it. The characters have a great chemistry in the beginning. However, I cannot find myself reaching for this book as much as I want to.

This book was an adorable rom com. As an Audrey Hepburn fan, I loved that it was inspired by Roman Holiday. The characters and the story were both cute.

Sarah KNOWS how to write a sweet, swoonworthy romance where you end up ADORING all the main characters. My mouth was watering as I read about all the delicious pies and pancakes. (BUT give us the recipes!) The town of Rome was my favorite part. Everyone was so nosy but loving. They also PROTECT THEIR OWN. 👏

Amelia and Noah's banter was fantastic, and I couldn't wait for them to finally get together. It really was the SLOWEST of slow burn romance. I would have preferred a bit more time of them together rather than the should we shouldn't we stage. But overall, this is a feel-good romance that you won't be able to put down. I can't wait to read the next book about Noah's sister!

I've been a fan of every Sarah Adams book I've read and this one was no exception! I loved Noah and how he fell for Amelia and how his sister's hyped up his feelings throughout. Plus, small town is my number one favorite trope, so I already knew this book would be a winner just from that.

This title was very cute! This was my second Sarah Adams novel and my favorite so far! I really enjoy a good “big time artist falls in love in small town”.

For a closed door romance, this kept me really interested and wanting to listen. Noah and Amelia/Rae’s strangers/enemies to lovers story is one I would definitely recommend to romance readers that want something light hearted and fun!

What a cute little opposites attract love story! I really liked this book and thought it was a perfect quick read. There wasn’t much spiciness in it which I was upset with, but it makes it a great book for even a young teen.

Amelia (Rae Rose) is a pop star that just wants a time out from her hectic life. She feels like she needs a reset so she travels to a small town in hopes of giving her some time away to heal from her crazy life. She meets Noah, a pie shop owner, and they fight themselves back and forth to try not to gain feelings for one another. Obviously that doesn’t work and they end up falling in love.

Unfortunately, I think that the side characters in this book (the sisters and Mabel) were more interesting than Amelia herself. Even though she’s a pop star, she really didn’t seem like one at all. The book never quite gave off the perfect vibe of her. On the other hand, Noah is the perfect grump and broody man for this book. I love grumpy vs. sunshine tropes and this did an okay job of that. Small town romances are one of my favorites and this did a good job of that. Overall this was a good book, but I probably wouldn’t pick up a sequel. I’d give it a 3.75 stars.

Another work of art by Sarah Adams! I have devoured her books since discovering The Cheat Sheet on social media last year and have yet to be disappointed. The character development and building of this dreamy small town are just a few of the reasons it should not be missed!

This was a really cute one! I definitely didn’t look at the cover well enough because at first glance I thought they were making pasta.

Rae Rose (Amelia) is a famous singer who needs a Roman Holiday. Going back to her Audrey Hepburn love she searches for the closest Rome to her and finds herself in Kentucky in Noah’s front yard.

This grumpy sunshine small town romance was so cute. I loved Noah and his tough outer shell, but he was gooey on the inside.

This also had so many great side characters such as the sisters and the godmother/inn keeper.

I really loved this and wished I could have stayed in Rome much longer.

I thought I would be more into this trope, but I felt like the story was too slow-moving for me to really get into it.

I have to say that I absolutely LOVED this book! I literally laughed out loud. It was so cute, so sweet, so heartbreaking. You fall in love with every single character and that is so unlikely with most books. All around awesome book and I highly highly recommend!

This is a sweet, opposites attract small town romance. Rae Rose is an extremely popular singer who cannot fathom being told what do do, how to perform, and how to live her life for another second. Out of sheet frustration and exhaustion she makes a decision to flee her home and she ends up meeting a grumpy, but very good looking Noah.
She, of course, can't go home, can't just stay anywhere so Noah's house it is. And this is where they become friends and learn to trust, love, and be happy.
This was cute, super sweet, and an overall fun time.

I really enjoyed this Sarah Adams book. It wasn’t what I expected but still really like this. Sarah Adams humor is always a delight. Also enjoyed her characters and can’t wait for more of this series. Superstar singer Amelia with the stage name Rae Rose and pie maker Noah’s romance was cute, funny and just so fun. I am giving this book 4 stars.

Loved the book, Noah and Amelia. His sisters may have been my favorite though. The whole cast of silly/crazy towns people definitely had a Gilmore Girl's vibe. Very entertaining from start to finish and made me laugh out loud many times (as per usual for Sarah Adams).

I tried to read Sarah Adams earlier books, and I was not a fan. I kept giving them a shot because I had heard wonderful things, but they just weren't for me. However, when I read The Cheat Sheet she finally won me over. This book was almost as good. I loved the banter between the characters and the grumpy sunshine trope. I was a little hesitant because I feel the celebrity angle is being done a lot lately, but Sarah Adams knew how to walk the line and make the character relatable. She highlighted the difference in their lifestyles without going over the top. Add in the fact that its a spin on a classic Audrey Hepburn and I'm sold!
