This took me back to reading teen magazines as a teenager! I loved the encouragement these quizzes by providing young girls with information on different things they can be that are not often talked about for girls. I wish my nieces were older so they could do them!

I'm sure you've seen those quizzes where you answer a certain question with a) b) or c) and you find out that you are Harry Potter, or destined to be a model, or some such thing.

This is that sort of thing, and isn't. Because instead of learning ifyou are into werewolves or vampires, this determines which famous scientist had your traits, or what is your STEM style.

For example you get a question like "If you could design one thing, what would it be? a) an experiment b) a robot c) a skyscraper or d) a computer program.

Or you might be asked about what role you would want to play in Hollywood, and the answers point you to, sure, and actor, but also a director, or a costume designer or a composer. (and then you hear which famous women went in that direction.

Very encouraging to young girls to learn what they may not know about themselves, but also show them who has gone before.

As always I recommend all rebel girl books, and this one is also great.

An amazing book that keeps your young's mind busy with quizzes that help them discover their interest. With fun artwork and inspiring women decorated throughout the novel, this is a book that will come in handy to many growing readers as they try to figure out who they are and what they would want to do in their future.

This book was so much fun, I loved the idea of writing quizzes to young girls, specially because I’ve loved to do quizzes since I was a little girl. I was amazed at how the writers managed to link the quizzes to a female icon of all types of areas.

It’s a five stars, I just love reading the Rebel Girls’ books.

This book in the Rebel Girls series is perfect to relax while also learning some interesting facts about rebel girls!
The book is filled with all sorts of quizzes from what flower you are to what science you like best. It’s perfect for children but also adults can learn new things while taking these quizzes. Definitely recommend if you like the Stories for Rebel Girls books.

As soon as I started reading this one I immediately thought of the quizzes in teen magazines and it immediately made the style of the book more fun. The quizzes run a pretty good range of subjects including different careers, personality types and some really fun ones thrown in like what kind of party you should throw. The usual bright and colorful scheme really lends itself to this installment, keeping things upbeat and fun, plus it wouldn't be a Rebel Girls book without a healthy sprinkling of tidbits and facts about notable and inspiring figures tied into the quizzes.

I was able to read this book and take quizzes with my 11 year old and we loved it. It was a really fun activity for us to do together and we learned a lot about other awesome women and their achievements along with some things about ourselves.
I would definitely recommend this book to middle school readers to share with their friends or parents. It's a fun book that they will enjoy reading especially with someone else.
My 11 year old can't wait to get her copy to share quizzes with her friends.

Quizzes for Rebel Girls asks a series of questions on different topics and then helps the reader to see where her interests might be and where she can be of greatest impact. It's a fun and engaging way for girls to learn about themselves and their world.

I'm definitely biased in a sense: I am a longtime journalist within the kids/teen magazine space, and I've written (and taken!) many a fun personality quiz, circling away my favorite answers after poring over the options most likely to get me a fun answer. I think it's totally fine if these types of quizzes are simply entertaining and fun. Those are in and of themselves great traits for a game to have, and I won't have any naysayers raining on the fun parade (especially if it's only because this is a tradition emerging out of media created specifically for girls.) Sure, we can always go deeper, encourage educational themes, and find more substance - and that's what this quiz book does. I think most of us are on this never-ending quest to know ourselves, to understand where our interests came from and how they may guide our futures. Even as kids, we want to know if us preferring pizza or sandwiches somehow influences our music taste, or if our choices of footwear may inform the colors we paint our nails. Even if it doesn't, it was wacky along the way, and comparing answers with friends brings so much glee. With the Quizzes for Rebel Girls, fantastic women throughout history (and modern times!) informs the answers, so we are learning about real women and their important contributions while we are simultaneously taking a fun quiz aligning ourselves with their impacts and achievements. It's a great concept, and it's great in execution too - the quiz formats are familiar and engaging and allow bite-sized bits of info to guide the whole experience while leaving room for fuller, more well-rounded learning later. My only thought is because this is in book form rather than a more traditional magazine, I'm not sure if there would be too much on-page interactivity. I remember some of the American Girl quiz books I had as a kid, and I would absolutely never write in them so they could be enjoyed over and over or revisited with friends at a later time.

I love the Rebel Girl books and my children are very familiar with them. It was a fantastic idea to create a quiz book! I loved quizzes as a kid, and these ones are way less superficial (haha) and more interesting. The illustrations are fantastic as always. We will definitely be picking up a physical copy for our shelves!

It’s a fun and colorful book and the illustrations are amazing.

I immediately got the feeling of quizzes found in teen magazines back in the 90s (I’m unsure if they still have those in today’s magazines) but definitely an updated version.

It’s not a normal Rebel Girls book where the focus is on biographies, but acts like a companion book. If someone is already a fan of the Rebel Girls books, then this would be a fun aside.

My daughter and I had a lot of fun going through Quizzes for Rebel Girls! While the quizzes themselves are entertaining, fun, and insightful, the graphics and images a vibrant and pleasing to the eye. As an adult, I feel I learned a lot about my daughter (who is 10 years old) by talking about her responses and finding out how she felt about the results of her quizzes. She had me do them as well, so we then had the opportunity to compare our results and talk about celebrating each others' differences. This book would make a great addition to anyone's library, and could be an asset for those looking for activities to bond with their daughters!

It is as easy as A, B, C and D to pick out personality traits and core strengths similar to ourselves and kickstand some.positive thinking. This book will help.our young people locate their unique strengths, and skills and discover some new ones. It is never too early to consider our best selves and look towards the extraordinary women who have gone before for some inspiration and future direction. This is awesome! It's essentially a volume that combines all the fun of Buzzfeed quizzes with girl power! While the quizzes are simplistic for my adult brain, they are fun and informative for the target audience. This is everything good that I expect from the Rebel Girls series.

This book makes us remember the fact easily because of the concept of the book. Anything that is fun definitely will attract the attention of the kids.

Rebel Girls never fail to inspire and provoke discussion and this latest book "Quizzes for Rebel Girls" is no different. However, it goes beyond other Rebel Girl Publications and provided a brilliant interactive experience for the Rebel Girl in your life. It's a really fun and original way to reflect on yourself as a person whilst learning about the inspirational women that came before you. It really emphasises what you have in common with past Rebel Girls to inspire you.
The quizzes within the book cover a variety of themes and interests and so there really is something for everyone in this book. My rebel girl preferred the flow chart quizzes best as there was no need to track your answers as you go along. Other quizzes require you to score your answers or keep track of which option you picked the most frequently (eg mostly A., B or C etc) and on those quizzes it would have been useful to have a section where you can record you answers as you go along.
That aside, I thought the book was brilliant. It's perfect for picking up when you have a spare five minutes and doing a quiz at a time but would also work equally work well for a long car journey. The Rebel girl can pick it up and explore on her own but it would be easy to do as a family too and provoke discussion.
It's bound to be a firm favourite.

My daughters (8 & 10) absolutely love a personality quiz and we love reading the rebel girls books together which makes this book of quizzes for rebel girls the perfect gift for them.

The rebel girls books help young girls to see the greatness in others and the quiz book takes it one step further as it supports our girls to see the greatness in themselves.

It helps them to ask questions about who they are, what they love and what changes they wish to see in their world.

It helps them to draw connections with these amazing women who have already used their gifts and experiences to make changes in the world so that they can realise that they too can make changes.

The fun, playful and colourful design along with the variety of questions makes the quizzes so much fun to complete keeping them entertained for hours. Watching my daughters compare answers and discuss what makes themselves and each other great was heartwarming.
