A brand new cosy mystery series from the bestselling author of A Village Murder. A lovely book with a great cast of characters. Beautifully written and I got really invested in the story. I would highly recommend reading this one. A clever, engrossing story with fabulous characters and an unexpected ending.

A Harvest Murder is the first Frances Evesham novel that I have read. The characters were well developed and the plot nicely unfolded. The bad guy was no surprise and was not hard to figure out. No surprises there. Actually there are a couple bad guys and both were pretty easy to identify. But at the same time, this cozy mystery was fun and an easy read.

This was a fun read, and I was hoping things would work out. I figured as a cozy mystery it would. The mystery kept me guessing and I like the characters and the setting.

Third in the cozy mystery series and it’s as enjoyable as the previous two. Quirky colorful characters, a fascinating mystery, quick read.

Imogen is busy setting up for Apple Day at the hotel, with help from the church and locals. She has asked Dan, her artist boyfriend, to assist on the day, and he agrees. But when the day arrives, one of his beloved donkeys has gone missing, and he spends hours searching. Imogen is angry at his absence and won't listen to any excuses from him.

Meanwhile, a local farmer has gone missing after a night of drinking at the Plough. Since he is a busy man with a wife, six children and a large farm to run, there's a lot of concern that something's wrong. He finally shows up on Apple Day, but after a few minutes collapses. When he dies shortly afterwards, an autopsy shows he was poisoned. But who and how?

I enjoyed this mystery about a group of friends in this pretty little town. This is the third in the series and I will continue reading it.

When a local man goes missing and then returns only to drop dead at the Apple festival, retired Detective Inspector Adam and his friends sleuth to find out where the man disappeared to for a week and how he was poisoned. At the same time, one of the foursome of sleuths has his own troubles and the friends also decide to find out who is harassing the man and why.

This is British cozy mystery and I loved it! There’s something about British cozies that seem to be even cozier for me. The characters are relatable, the village and its residents inviting, and the mystery intriguing. I’ll be back for more.

Mysterious Vanishings, Vicious Vendettas….
The third in a new series of mysteries from Frances Evesham (author of the Exham-On-Sea mystery series). Imogen Bishop has made a return to the seemingly sleepy Somerset village of Lower Hembrow following the death of her father. Murder, however, was most definitely not on her agenda. She soon partners with local hostelry owner, retired Police Officer Adam Hennessey, to make an unlikely but effective amateur sleuthing duo. This time, mysterious vanishings and vicious vendettas are the order of the day. What will the duo learn from digging into their neighbours private affairs? The truth may be more disturbing than they ever imagined.
Engaging from the off with a good pace, likeable protagonists, a colourful cast of supporting characters and an enjoyable, entertaining plot making for a relaxing read and providing some much needed escapism. A worthy addition to this most enjoyable series.

Quirky characters…a missing father…friendship…love…small town…themes running throughout this book…taking a pleasant afternoon to enjoy this story will be worth it…this author is talented in weaving what reads like real life…fiction it is, but at times the characters are so real, one might imagine they are neighbors or friends. This book was sent to me electronically for review from Netgalley…I like this type of story.
