I really loved this book in a new to my series and author. I can't wait to read the next one. The characters and location really add to the plot. This book keeps you guessing until the end

Tropic vibes, mystery and murder combine for a fun romp filled with tension and wonder. A family member who rubs you the wrong way; do you help her anyway or leave her to her own devices? Does the mystery of the murder make it impossible to walk away? Cheer on the heroine’s investigation even if the accused is not your favorite person.

A very well-plotted murder mystery. The creepy thing about this story is there are no laws on cruise ships. The only laws that apply are the ones that the cruise company has registered the ship in. When you're out at sea, where do you hide?

This is a great cosy mystery and such a quick and easy read. And what isn't to like about a book with Margaritas in the title!

It's funny, fun, light-hearted and a book you can read in a day. The characters will make you laugh and cry, the story will get your heart racing and there is something happening on every page.

Have some fun and read this book as it is one not to be missed.

Cute shorter story. Fun location. Crazy widow that was unlikeable most times. Andi Anna Jones? Cute play on words there, although if that was my name, I'd never tell anyone my middle name. This was a fun fast read by a new to me author. Story went by quickly and kept me entertained.

This was a fun book about a ditzy travel agent and her even more ditzy ex-stepmother.

It starts when Andi Anna Jones gets a late night phone call from her late father's widow. She'd ignore the call if it weren't for the promise she'd made to her father before his death. She promised to watch out for Ruby and she was determined to keep that promise, even when Ruby called from a Cancun jail after being arrested for the murder of a has-been lounge singer.

Andi is able to keep her promise with a trip to Cancun and a side trip to Vegas, along with the help of a sexy Cancun sheriff.

This was a quick read that flowed easy. My issue was that it didn't seem as though the implausible scenarios left me rolling my eyes. Andi Anna Jones needs some work being more likeable. I found that she was annoying. Being set on a cruise and Cancun was fun.

This is my first time to read a book by this author. I found the story rather delightful with a solid plot and interesting characters. I will continue to look for more from this series.

This is what I consider a good beach read book. The story flows nicely and the mystery was entertaining.
It wasn’t hard to follow but I didn’t find a connection with the characters.

I appreciated the writing, flow, and extra of this book. Light, easy to read, and fun locations as characters are developed.

Margaritas, Mayhem & Murder by Mary Cunningham is the first book in Andi Anna Jones series.

This is the perfect choice for cozy beach read, not only because it is set in Cancun, but because it is fast, light read and therefore great choice for a lazy day at the beach.

If you are willing to suspend your belief regarding police procedure and few other things, you will enjoy this entertaining book with likeable characters and few laughs along the way.

This is uncomplicated easy to follow story with not to much sleuthing expertise but a romantic angle to make it a engaging read.

Margaritas, Mayhem & Murder is a cozy mystery that immediately had me realizing just how many people you're in close quarters with and you'd never know their past. Whoa!

First off, the cover is a common food/drink cover for cozy mysteries. It gives us a hint that the story will take place with cruises and potentially have something to do with bees.

We meet Andi, our main character and sleuth, quickly within the pages and start to learn that her life isn't as ordinary as she thinks. A full time travel agent and also working through the grief of losing her father prior, she has her hands full when she receives a frantic call from her ex-stepmother, Ruby, stating that she's been arrested for murder and was detained off her birthday cruise. She travels to Mexico to speak with the law enforcement team that has her detained, alongside her not-so-favorite lawyer family friend, Bert, who would rather be at the casino than assisting Ruby in her case.

Sticking her nose into the case more than she anticipated and more than Manny-the head of law enforcement that is detaining Ruby- thinks that Andi has bit off more than she can chew as she decides to take interviewing suspects and finding clues into her own hands. Even though there's a death bed obligation from her father to always take care of Ruby, Andi feels there's more to the case and that's what keeps her going even after her life being threatened and keeps her moving forward even with Manny in the room. To whom which she can't help but feel sweaty over.

Is Ruby the murderer? Will Andi be able to help law enforcement officials prove Ruby is innocent? Or will Andi never make it back home to tell the tale?

I really enjoyed this cozy mystery and felt it was really well paced, developed, and there were twists and turns that I didn't see coming. The main character felt thought out and the secondary characters were right on target. It was nice that there were some clues that were easy to spot and then others that took more time and thought for me to catch on what was going on and who were potential suspects.

5 Stars. It's a quick read for me and now all I want to do is go on a cruise. Maybe one without a rock wall.

Thanks to BackLit PR and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy to read and review. Review will also be posted to my blog (www.kagoodsell.com/book-reviews), GoodReads, TikTok (@unearthingeco), as well as NetGalley reviews.

Margaritas, Mayhem and Murder by Mary Cunningham is the first book in her Andi Anna Jones Mystery series. This was a fun read. I liked the main characters, Andi Anna Jones and Sheriff Manny Gonzales. Andi is determined to find the real killer when her ex-stepmother Ruby is arrested for a murder. Andi meets Manny when she goes to the station to see Ruby. I liked how protective Manny was of Andi. I imagine that a relationship between the two will roll out in future books in the series.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I love anything that’s set on a cruise ship so I thought for sure this would be a good fit for me. But implausible scenarios and unlikeable characters are not. Andi Anna Jones is likeable enough but the story loses so many points for things that just wouldn’t happen. I get that it’s fiction but this was a real stretch. It was a quick, easy read but not for me.

Margaritas, Mayhem & Murder is the first book in this delightful new series.
Andi Anna Jones, a travel agent, books a sixtieth birthday cruise to Cancun for her fathers annoying widow Ruby. Ruby gets arrested for murder, gets thrown into a Mexican jail, and begs Andi to come to her rescue. Despite the sexy Sheriff's warning to stay out of his investigation, Andi is determined to help clear Ruby's name. This was an enjoyable read with likable characters, a little romance, lots of red herrings, and humor sprinkled throughout. I look forward to the next book in this series! Thank you for the advance copy netgalley

Thank you NetGalley, Mary Cunningham and The Wild Rose Press, Inc for the copy of Margaritas, Mayhem & Murder. This is my personal review.
This is the first book in the new series of An Andi Anna Jones Mystery.
I liked this as a first book but will have to read the next in the series to decide if it is a series I want to continue reading. It was ok but for me it did not grab me enough to keep reading late into the night.
I could not put my finger on exactly why it did not grab me. The characters for me were just ok but I did not connect with them very much.
