Entertaining and compelling story: I like the world bulding and the plot kept me hooked and entertained.
I think I will read other books in this series.

I greatly enjoyed this story. The characters, the worldbuilding, the plot- all of it was phenomenal. My one complaint was that it could be quite slowly-paced, and the length felt longer than it needed to be. Nevertheless, I genuinely had a very fun time reading this and I was inspired by the story and characters.
I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed the Eragon series by Christoper Paolini, or anyone who enjoys fun fantasy!

Good stuff. This has good pacing, and like most in the genre, has a lot going on. Solid writing and story that includes action and well drawn characters. Oliver has a good imagination and puts it to good use here.

Thanks very much for the free review copy for review!!

I had mixed feelings about this one. It started well and I was really looking forward to seeing where it went but I found that it got slow and when something did happen, it was all a little convenient. While it was an easy read, it did feel too long. The cover was awesome though!

Thank you NetGalley.

This was a rollercoaster of a book. I liked the writing style, the storyline and the character development. The book was action packed and the atmosphere was really great. I loved that it was infused with Victorian influences and I loved the supernatural elements such as magic and pirates. A really enjoyable read.
