Ricochet wasn’t my cup of tea. What drew me in was the fact that the title reminded me of that Taylor swift song. Other than that I wasn’t a fan of the plot.

Another really strong New Adult Title from the Ritchie Sisters. If you're looking for a spicier recommendation for a Colleen Hoover reader, this is a super solid recommendation.

I am so glad I found this series! Although this book was short, I still loved it. Ricochet follows Lily and Lo and their attempts to manage their addictions with therapy and rehab. I wish Lo was more present in the book but it was still great. Can we talk about that facetime call though!?!?! I can't wait for the next in the series.

Unfortunately, I just couldn't get into this one. It felt like I had been missing some pieces of a puzzle and I felt it rather confusing to follow at times.

"I think we're all old enough to feel the scars of our upbringing. Now we just have to find a way to heal." Please excuse me while I bawl my eyes out while contemplating every single childhood trauma I have. No but on a serious note this book cut deep. I am quite literally addicted to this series and this book was no acceptation. I love this series with my whole heart and love the fact that this book especially was very character driven so you really felt connected to these characters on a deeper level. I absolutely need to get a physical copy of these books so I can lovingly stare at across my room. This book lives rent free in my brain and I would not want it to be any other way. I will read anything written by Krista and Becca and I mean that with my whole heart.

I LOVE THIS BOOK! For such a short novella it had me wanting more! My only issue was the relationship happening between a 22 and a minior in this book. I felt uncomfortable reading about adult flirting with a minor.

More Lily and more Lo. These two bring out the best and worst in each other. I loved the notes to their future selves.

Ricochet by Becca and Krista Ritchie is the sequel to Addicted To You. I was looking forward to this book as I love a nice quick read — particularly when I already “know” the characters I will be encountering. While this book was not a quick read for me, I did find some things to like about it.

Fair warning, if you read this book, know that Lo and Lily are not physically together during this book. Lo is at rehab throughout this whole book. And so, it is about Lily fighting her sex addiction to stay faithful to Lo. The book starts with Lily moving in with her sister Rose — who is the best. I would love a book about Rose. Then we go into Lily’s sister Daisy’s sixteenth birthday in which they hang out on a yacht in Mexico and Daisy does questionable things. Also, Ryke is on the trip too.

I really liked that Ricochet had a positive portrayal of therapy. It was true to life I felt, where they were trying to find a therapist who would be a good fit for Lily’s needs. In real life, this happens frequently — not everyone is a good fit with every therapist and vice versa. However, the book does a great job as showing how Lily has to do the work to change, but also that her therapist is validating and supportive. I also liked that Lo’s going to rehab wasn’t demonized or portrayed as a weakness – but a strength. So, big ups to this book for positive portrayals of mental health and substance use treatment. I would love to see more of that in new adult fiction — or just fiction in general. Kudos to stigma breaking.

these authors truly have such a way to get you to relate to the characters and get angry at the world for treating them the way they do. want to protect them at all costs.

was missing loren hale in this but connor? iconic. never been done before. brilliant. amazing.

After book one I was curious to see where Lo and Lilly go as they grow as a couple while trying to heal themselves.

Lily and Loren, “Lo” are separated because Loren has checked into rehab for his alcohol addiction and Lily is committed to staying faithful as they navigate life with their secrets out to Rose, Lily’s older sister, Connor, their friend and Ryke, Loren’s half-brother. I was pleased they admitted to their addictions because I knew it would be the only way for each of them to get help and get on the path to recovery. Now Lily just has to be strong until Loren gets out of rehab.

While Lily and Lo are not together during the book there are flashbacks where they share scenes giving illuminating their history a little more. Theirs is a story of best friends and epic love. If I had one complaint it would be that there’s a lot of sexy times, maybe little too much for my tastes, but these two can’t get enough of each other and I guess that solidly proved that.

Rose may be abrasive at times, but she was such a pillar of support for Lily! I admired their sisterly bond. Lily was there for her as well when their mother was especially horrible. Their mother is something else!

I was happy that with Lily actively trying to deal with her addiction and finally see a therapist, she started taking time to focus on getting close to her younger sister, Daisy, who seems to have her own issues, taking risks for the adrenaline high. There’s something definitely brewing between Daisy and Ryke, even though it’ll have to be in the future with Daisy being sixteen and Ryke twenty-two.

Ricochet was an excellent second chapter in Lily and Lo’s continuing story. Angsty at times, but a real page turner. I’m looking forward to the next installment! Berkley has just released this new beautiful print copy of Ricochet with extra bonus material, and I think the cover is so pretty!

It's funny, and I didn't know it was possible, but I think I love the second book even more than the first book in the series.

I read the first book and was hooked! Their addictions and co-dependent relationship at the end of the first book resulted in Lo going to rehab and Lily promising to wait for him despite her sex addiction. It was interesting to watch Lily struggle to overcome her urges while being separated from Loren. I only wish we got a little more insight into Lo's journey in rehab but perhaps that will be explored in the next book. Those text messages at the end are quite the cliffhanger and I need to find out how they will deal with this new threat.

Technically for me this was a re-read of Ricochet because I binge read this series years ago. One thing I can say is this book is even better the second time around because now I know where LiLo and the rest of the Addicted/Calloway crew end up and this book, while quick, is a prelude to so many things to come in this series. We get a deeper look at Lily’s addiction and her and Lo’s love for one another. This is another step in the direction of them both living a healthy lifestyle together.

We also get more glimpses at the rest of the Addicted/Calloway crew. More personality of their own comes out to play and how these characters love and care for Lily and Lo in different ways is heavily present in this book. The dynamics and relationships between this group have always been my favorite part of this series, and I think this book is a fun and emotional glimpse at those aspects. I’d say this is the perfect read for anyone who enjoys emotional new adult romance books.

This edition is a little bit extra special as well because at the end we get the first chapter of Addicted for Now and we also get some new bonus content that I thought was super sweet and necessary after this emotional in between book.

Can’t wait for more even though I already know how this story ends.

Lily and Loren – PHEW! What happens when you are a sex addict and your boyfriends goes to rehab for 3 months? Sounds like a recipe for trouble, right? Lily desperately tries to hang on and not slip. Recovery is a very tricky thing and Lily’s relationship with Lo has its hardships. How to stay connected though they are apart? How to avoid temptation when it’s around her all the time? Can their love survive this test? Can Lo literally save his own life?

My mind was spinning with the questions.

We learn more about Lily and gain a deeper understanding of her and her past. Fortunately, Lily has people around her that are supportive of her journey. Particularly her sister, Rose. Told from Lily’s POV, Ricochet is well laid out – it does not skip over the very real struggle of these characters. The subject matter was obviously well researched, even down to the therapy sessions.

I had not read this 5 Book Series in its first iteration and found the additional content interesting. However, I couldn’t connect to the protagonist. I also found the age difference between Ryke and Daisy uncomfortable.

Those of you that want to dive into the rest of the Addicted Series, I’m sure there will be many, can find all the books available on all major platforms.

lilo have my entire heart. i am beyond in love with them. i loved getting to see more of their backstory and getting more of these intimate moments of their friendship. anytime i read any of their books in the series i'm so convinced that they are soulmates.

I was so excited to continue this series. I love that it left off right where the first book did, and continued for the next three months. This one was definitely a bit spicier than the first.

I loved that you learned more about Lily and Lo’s background history through this one. I also enjoyed learning more about Daisy and Rose’s lives. It was fun to see the sisters growing a better connection.

I can’t wait to get to the next in this series, these authors are very talented storytellers. I also want to read their other spin off series. Overall I felt like this was a great segue into the next book.

This one is the the follow up to Addicted to You and takes place and is told over the span of 90 days as both Lily and Lo face their demons and work to take care of their addictions that have been controlling their lives.

In this installment in the series, Lo is in rehab for 90 days while Lily spends those 90 days working on herself and trying to stay celibate while trying to manage her sex addiction.

I feel like this story was so well written and that the authors truly took the time to write broken characters with accuracy and with intention.

If you are looking for a bingable series, I highly recommend this one as I complete book two in this series.

This particular book (Ricochet) was a re-read for me. I read it 5 years ago and loved it then, and I love it even more now. Everything about their story (Lily and Lo) was angsty, addictive, heart-wrenching, and an emotional rollercoaster. Everything about this was character-driven, which makes for my favorite type of book. Even though this was told primarily in Lily’s POV, Lo’s presence could be felt throughout. It was as much her struggle as it was his.

This is my favorite series of all time and getting to reread this book and read the bonus scene made my heart so happy. I’ll never get over how much I love these characters and this universe.
