April Claus is so excited to get an early Christmas present. Her best friend, Claire, is visiting her from Oregon. April hopes to show off her adopted home, but the first event they attended ended with a dead body. When one of her friends comes under suspension, April has to jump into the investigation even if it means she could make herself a target.

This is a fun Christmas Cozy Mystery. The characters are entertaining. The mystery kept me guessing with the twists and turns and well-placed red herrings. There was plenty of suspense in the life-or-death situations that which April and her friends found themselves. This is a treat for fans of Christmas cozies and fans of the series.

All thoughts and opinions are my own; in no way has anyone influenced my opinion.

Murder has never been so fun! April Claus returns for her third adventure, with a friend from outside the Santa world to serve as her foil. Christmas is ramping up, the reindeer are striking, and automation is making the entire population nervous.

Blinky Brightlow has invented a drone-deer and the reindeer aren't happy about it. They are on strike so no reindeer games to keep them trim.. Who will pull Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve?

April Claus gets a visit frim Claire, her bestie from Oregon. April wants to show Claire the beauty and wonder of Santaland so they start with the annual ice sculpture contest. Everyone is in a festive mood until one of the sculptures is attacked by kamikaze drone-deer. Who was directing the drone? The reinder are suspects.

Blinky goes missing, his family business accountant is murdered and Juniper is in jail. It's time to call in Detective Jake Frost. Claire's visit begins to heat up when she meets Jake.

The first book I read in this series was challenging for me. I couldn't get used to the unusual names, and there were so many of them. I've just finished my third book in this series and I'm glad I didn't give up. The stories are very good

This may be my favorite book in the series. (So far.)
I'm going to admit this. (No spoilers!) The reindeer made me cry. Yep. Flying reindeer had me balling like a proud mama. You just have to read the book to find out why. (April tears up to in the scene too.) Reindeer are my heroes.

Mrs. April Claus is thrown into another murder mystery in Santaland that finds her best elfin friend, Juniper, in jail. We also get introduced to her human friend Claire. We readers have mainly seen texts between April and Claire. It's nice to go on the journey with Claire as she comes to terms with the reality of Santa Claus and the north pole. I think I would have passed out a few times myself but Claire handles it enthusiastically.

I really enjoy these books. I often have to suspend my beliefs when reading cozy mysteries. Usually because it's hard to believe that a detective would give that much leeway and info to a regular citizen to help solve a murder case. So if I'm going to ignore reality, then let's throw in some flying reindeer, elves and robots! The characters are all fun and fleshed out. The story is well written. And it can be read as a standalone. But I highly recommend picking up the first 2 books. Two thumbs up. 5 stars for a fun make believe read!

Mrs. Claus and the Evil Elves by Liz Ireland is the third book in the cozy Mrs. Claus series. As with most cozy mystery series each book in the Mrs. Claus series features it’s own mystery that will be fully solved with that book so they can each be read as a standalone or in any order if choosing to do so. There will be some character development that carries over from book to book though for those that follow the series from the beginning.

April Claus was just a regular woman living in the United States when she met Nick, the man she just knew she’d be spending the rest of her life with. What April didn’t know or suspect at the time was that the wonderful Nick she was going to marry was none other than THE Santa Claus. After marrying Nick April found herself moving to Christmastown in Santaland at the North Pole and living among elves with Christmas celebrated year round.

It’s coming up quickly on April’s second Christmas in Santaland and she’s hoping that this holiday season will go better than the last. April has her friend, Claire, visiting from April’s hometown of Oregon and hopes only to showcase Christmastown in it’s glittery festive best but things do not go to plan during the annual ice sculpture contest and April quickly finds herself investigating yet another incident this holiday season.

Liz Ireland’s Mrs. Claus series is the type of cozy that will have the reader laughing out loud from the beginning to end. The characters are of course are everything you would think you would find in Santa’s village and get up to the craziest antics to create havoc for April to untangle in each read and this third installment wasn’t any different in it’s quirky craziness. Definitely one that I enjoy returning to with each new book in the series.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

This is such a fun, quirky series. The characters make me laugh out loud at times and the scenarios they find themselves in are funny. Great, unique series

Mrs. Claus and the Evil Elves is a cozy mystery that's hard to put down. The writing is every bit as exciting as the previous two books in the series. I really loved how this story brought April's friend from Oregon to Santaland. It added some depth to the story that hadn't been there in the other books. I hope we get to see more of Claire in future books. The murder mystery kept me guessing until almost the end. I think the author did a very good job crafting the mystery without giving away too much in the clues that were sprinkled throughout the book. I'm definitely looking forward to the next book in the series to see what April Claus gets into next.

I've come to learn one thing after reading this third installment in the Mrs. Claus series...the North Pole is a dangerous place! Elves cannot be trusted!

So much to enjoy! Very quirky and fun. I loved all the humorous witty twists on words such as Yelf (the elf version of Yelp), Elficide (elf homicide), and Reindeer in the Headlights. I thought I had figured out whodunit very early on (I thought it was sooo obvious), but glad I was wrong.

While it is part of a series, the author does a good job of providing the necessary back info so it can easily be read as a standalone.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for this eARC.

If you are ready to kick back and get invested in a strange new, world, this is the book to do it. This is the third book in the series, and April is now accustomed to being Mrs. Claus. Her best friend from Oregon, Claire, is visiting for the big holiday, so with her, I learned about much of the magic of Christmastown and how Santaland operates. Reindeer worried about being replaced by drones, snowmen who slowly move and see all, and of course, the elves. When April's elf friend Juniper stumbles upon the body of another elf, April and Claire both rally to investigate. Really cute book and the world building was fantastic. What a great, fun story, I'd like to go back and check out the earlier two.

This is book 3 in the Mrs. Claus series. It can be read as a stand alone. April Claus is happy her friend Claire is visiting from Oregon and the ice sculpture contest is just the beginning of the countdown to Christmas. When a reindeer drone ruins the winning sculpture people are sure something is wrong and the inventor of the drone has disappeared. Several mystery threads run through the story.

I like the idea of Santa and Santaland being real. I like the characters and the mystery kept me guessing. I can't wait to see what happens with the characters.

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I read this book. I enjoyed the plot twists and turns and the idea of Mrs. Claus being the main character. Some of it was hard to follow as I had not read the first 2 books, but I was still able to enjoy most of it and figure out who belonged to who. I laughed out loud at the idea of the reindeer going on strike. And who knew elves had other jobs. It does make sense if it's a real town though. It was a little dark for a Christmas story, but it had to be to tell the story. There aare darker Santa stories. I will most likely go back and read the first two books.

A cozy mystery book perfect to read this winter with hot chocolate peppermint on the side! This is the first book from the Mrs. Clause series I have read. It is very well written, full of creativity, and fun characters, and I can say one of the coziest Christmas reads ever! This book is already perfect as it is, as it can be read as stand-alone, but I feel like I’m missing some of the best experiences included in this series, so I’m gonna read the first two books.

Thank you, NetGalley, publisher, and author, for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

`Princess Fuzzypants here: This is a great book to read in the build up to Christmas. Mrs. Claus, or April as she is known to her friends married Santa. Yup. Santa. If you can get with the “program” and go along with the wonderful world of elves, talking reindeer who are ready to strike, and all sorts of other fun stuff, immerse yourself in the magical world.

April”s doubting best friend Claire comes to visit for the holidays. Right up until she is transported by flying sleigh to Christmastown and is surprised and delighted at every turn, she does not believe.. When an elf is murdered and April’s friend is arrested, April and Claire join forces with a detective named Jack Frost. There are so many fabulous characters whom the reader cannot help but believe inhabit this strange world. It is fun and it is entertaining and there is a really good story.

I did not expect to enjoy it as much as I did. You may want to add it to your Christmas reading pile. I give it five purrs and two paws up.

April Claus is adjusting to life in Santaland as the new Mrs. Claus. Her friend Claire is spending her first holiday in the town, though, and she needs some time to get adjusted. Things really get crazy when a drone reindeer destroys an ice sculpture and when April's friend Juniper is charged with murder. Now, she and her human and elf friends must solve this crime, find the missing inventor Blinky Brightlow, navigate all the Christmas week festivities, manage a reindeer strike, and find out who's responsible for the unfestive events.
This story is really cute! I can totally see it as a movie.
The descriptions make the story come to life and give me a visual picture of Santaland and its inhabitants.
And the characters are real. They make mistakes and feel emotions.
While there is no profanity, there are a few sexual references.
Also, it would be easier to understand the backstory and jump into the drama in this book if I had read the first two books in this series.

4 stars = Great! Might re-read.

This was a fun addition to the series. I enjoyed the ongoing Christmas fun in the setting and timing of the story. Adding in the best friend from "our" world was a great way to bring some fresh eyes to the world. The mystery was fascinating and kept me guessing. I love that this cozy mystery feels "different" because of the setting and the Claus family. This is a must-read series for me.

April Claus is one of the best holiday related cozy characters, completely relatable and has great taste in baked goods (looking forward to finding a cranberry and cashew cookie recipe), even if she can’t make them herself, much to the dowager Mrs. Claus’s (her MIL) chagrin. If you like the Sophie Kimball mysteries by J.C. Eaton you are going to love the Mrs. Claus mysteries. Each story is a stand-alone but they certainly show an unprecedented pattern of mayhem in Sanataland. Meet April Claus who has recently married the embodiment of a mythical legend but that doesn’t mean she is any different as a person. She still likes good coffee and tasty treats such as the ice cream from her BFF Claire’s ice cream parlor. Good thing Claire is spending the holiday with April in Santaland, and just in time to help with a missing elf issue, the reindeer strike (yes, they are unionized), Selfy shenanigans, and murder. Even with all of the sleuthing, shindigs, and overall cold weather, Claire is sure to be back.
