Alright, grab a fan, your favorite beverage, and maybe a fire extinguisher because "Wicked Beauty" just unleashed a scorching modern twist on the tale of Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus. This audiobook is like a heatwave that'll leave you fanning yourself and questioning if Mount Olympus just got hotter.

Achilles Kallis and his partner-in-crime, Patroclus Fotos, are climbing the power ladder in Olympus. Born with nothing, they're ready to snatch the coveted role that's up for grabs. But surprise, surprise! Enter the goddess herself, Helen Kasios. This ain't your grandma's love triangle; it's a full-blown, complicated, and oh-so-steamy entanglement.

Zeus may think he can gift-wrap Helen for someone else, but she's got plans—big, audacious plans. She throws herself into the competition with a sassy middle finger to the meddling Thirteen rulers, essentially vying for her own hand in marriage. Of course, there are haters who'd rather see her pushing up daisies than leading the city. Enter the only duo she can trust—Achilles and Patroclus. And let me tell you, every stolen kiss feels like a battlefield.

Now, let's talk spice. This audiobook isn't just spicy; it's a five-alarm fire. The romance? It's so steamy you might need a cold shower afterward. The passion oozes from every word, and the forbidden allure between the characters is hotter than Hades' underworld.

Why not a perfect 5 stars, you ask? Well, it's like eating ambrosia; you want seconds. The plot is deliciously spicy, but a touch more emotional depth would've turned this into a full-blown deity feast.

In a nutshell, "Wicked Beauty" is a sinfully sweet delight, a love triangle that'll make your heart race and your headphones sizzle. Katee Robert sprinkles myth, passion, and sass into an intoxicating concoction. If you like your romance served with a side of sizzle and a dollop of drama, this audiobook is your ticket to Olympus.

I have loved this series, but this one wasn't my favorite so far. I got too irritated with the characters at times so I was frustrated a lot. Helen was great but Achilles got on my nerves, which is sort of his known personality in books at this point. Absolutely did love Helen fighting for her own destiny instead of being a plaything for others.

I haven't read anything by Katee Roberts before but I was happily surprised with how quickly she developed relationships. Sometimes a story can drag before you get some action. And the sex plot wasn't the only interesting part of this book. I feel like it could stand alone without if needed. (but of course we don't want that) The Narration in the Audio wasn't distracting for me and was easy to follow.

I really liked the challenge aspect of this book but I liked books 1 and two more in terms of plot. I did also love seeing a polyamorous relationship in mainstream, popular media.

This book is great, and the audiobook really elevates it. The dual audiobook narrators make this series one of my favorites to listen to. See the review I also posted for the ebook -- I will read whatever Katee Robert puts out and the Dark Olympus books are my favorite series.

This book is HOT. I have said this many times and I will say it again but I am a firm believe that listening to these books is the way to go. These narrators simply never miss and they truly bring Katee Roberts books to another level. I think this might be up there for my favorite in the series which is hard to do especially with my love for the second one. Anyways love the narrators, love the story and overall was a steamy fun ride.

One of the spiciest books I’ve ever read! I really enjoyed the chemistry between all three of them! I can’t wait to read more! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen to this read in exchange for a review.

What a fun new addition to the Dark Olympus series by Katee Robert. I love her retellings (Disney, Greek, whatever!) and always look forward to those new stories.

I appreciated this book, as we got a bad ass female character that was eager to make her own name and forge her own future. The relationship between the three main characters was honestly just a fun addition to Helen's own story.

Overall, I also enjoyed the narrator for this book; it definitely didn't detract from the story in any way.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I had to google who Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom would play in this. To ground me, you know?

The thing I like about this series is I know exactly what I'm getting into. Apologies in advance if this doesn't match what others think, but for me these are a trashy, guilty pleasure that will be utterly ridiculous, yet I won't have to think too hard about it. They're enjoyable even though they are far from the best romances I've ever read. However, I'm a little disappointed by this one, and a favourite it was not. Not to mention this stepped very far outside of the definition of a retelling.

I am a sucker for books with competitions in them, so basing how the new Ares is chosen around a competition made this a must-read for me. Especially with how much agency it gave Helen, who is offered up as the prize to whoever wins and decides she'll win her own hand in marriage, thank you very much. Achilles was right there beside her in determination to win, and I really wasn't sure how the competition could end well. None of the options seemed like there could be a happy ever after attached to it. But in the end, Robert twisted it in a way that was absolutely the right thing to do, and I was quite happy with how it panned out.

As you've no doubt gleaned, this is indeed a polyamorous romance. Ménage à trois, explicit, and incredibly steamy. Which, honestly, I expect nothing less from this author. I cannot believe I saw a TikTok that said CoHo was the spiciest author they'd ever read when Katee freaking Robert is right there with just as big a backlist. Embarrassing, really. The romance delves into consent, control, submission, and equal participation with grace and tact. I appreciated how all three supported each other in and out of the bedroom, even though they were opponents in the trials themselves. I'm not ashamed to say that all the way through I preferred Patroclus to Achilles. If you're going to put them both in a room, a sweet soft cinnamon roll and a cocky bastard ... I stand firmly by my choice in that conundrum.

What wrecked this for me was how repetitive it is. I think it's part of Robert's style, but it bothered me a lot this time around because of the three POVs. A lot of the same thoughts and emotions are revisited over and over from each character, and it got a bit tiresome and dragged the plot down hard. I zoned out on multiple occasions or swore that I was reading the same chapter again. I also found that the individual POVs weren't very distinct. Being in first person, the voice of a character needs to stand out, but I often forgot whose head we were in until I saw two separate character names and could use the process of elimination. I couldn't quite click in at times.

I need to say that I have no fricking clue what the book cover is supposed to mean lol Two books in this series so far have gotten generic cover art that makes no sense, even after reading the book. Is the apple supposed to be forbidden fruit? If so, how? Because there was exactly zero secrets here that would make it taboo lol

Am I going to keep reading these? Absolutely. Robert seems to be laying down some bigger political dominos that look like they'll topple through the next few books with consequences and I'm looking forward to it.

Wicked Beauty by Kate Robert is book #3 in her Dark Olympus. This series is a very VAGUE representation from Greek Mythology but we all know we aren’t here reading the Queen Katie Robert’s books for it’s historical accuracy, now are we?!?! I’m most definitely not.

Wicked Beauty is a great addition to the Dark Olympus series. The story of Achilles, Helen and Patroclus and what draws the three of them together. Throuple, yes, SIGN ME up!! Do tell me more Katie Robert. Dare I say this was my favorite out of the three?!? Why, yes, yes it is. A book full of spiciness, suspense and laughter is exactly what I needed. The narration was beyond great and I highly recommend. It was so well done. I couldn’t stop listening as I was completely captivated by their story.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance audiobook version of this amazingly awesome spicy read in exchange for my honest review. 4 SPICY Stars!!! Another great book by Kate Robert. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author.

This book was really good! The only thing that I find with smutty books with an interesting plot, is that where one thrives, the other suffers. This spicy Greek retelling with a competition was fun, but the competition felt underdeveloped compared to the spice and romance. But let's be honest... you don't pick up Katee Robert for the plot.

When the position of Ares in Olympus comes up for grabs there are many people vying for it, including Achilles and his partner Patroclus. While Helen is listed as part of the winner's prize, she also enters the contest of her own accord as she'd seek to have the title of Ares for herself!

I enjoyed the relationship dynamics between Helen, Achilles and Patroclus. There wasn't a ton of plot (which I was fine with) but I did enjoy Helen's quest to gain respect and power on her own terms. The trials the contestants went through gave me Hunger Games vibes which I liked!

Pick this one up if you like a lot of steamy action and/or are a fan of Greek mythology retellings/inspired by stories. While this is part of a series, I thought this was fine to be read as a stand alone. I plan to go back and read the first two books in the series while waiting on book four, Radiant Sin.

Rating: 4 spicy peppers!

So many thanks to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for the ARC of Wicked Beauty for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Okay first off, I listened to this while I was at work. DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK. In true Katee Robert fashion, she brought the spice in full force!!! I enjoyed every moment of this book, I was itching to get my hands on it after the first two books in the series (if you havent read them yet, run don't walk to read them) and I was so excited to have the audiobook. I truly didn't think the series could get any better but I stand corrected. Does anyone wish they could be apart of this world or is it just me? What I wouldn't give to experience one day of Katee Robert's Oylmpus.

Am I already counting down the days till book 4? Yes.

Wicked Beauty continues the mythology series by Katee Robert. This may be one of my favourite retellings so far of this series. The banter always gets me along with the enemies to lovers. I enjoyed it so much. The spice was closer to some of Robert's other works that I have enjoyed. I liked the actors in this audiobook. Having different actors play each character helps to identify the different characters. They did a great job.

I loved this book! I highly recommend this book if you have enjoyed any of the other Dark Olympus series or like smutty books. This one was well done, and the narrators (Alex Moorcock & Zara Hampton-Brown) were fantastic. I loved that it was easy to differentiate between the male characters' narration. My only criticism was that some of the exposition was a little repetitive, so I lowered my rating. Check content warnings if you have any specific triggers around family dynamics.
