Where do I begin with Wicked Beauty? I think it's my favorite of the series so far! Katee Robert pull out all the stops in this one and I had the best time listening to it.

First off, the narrators were amazing. We have three MCs and I thought that each narrator was PERFECT for the characters. I loved the alternating POVs, it was so so engaging. Of the three books in the Dark Olympus series, I think this one was the most exciting in terms of plot. I loved the trials for the Ares title and I especially loved how it brought the three main characters together. It was super exciting to listen to all the action on audio.

Finally... the spice. What we most likely are all here for when it comes to Katee Robert's books. She delivered. This is the third MMF book I've read by this author and Robert just knows how to write those scenes and the relationship development. Listening to the audio was also just a whole other experience but dang I loved it. The dynamics between Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus were PERFECT. I loved how it was Achilles and Patroclus as the beginning couple as well, that's not something I've read before. As a queer OV reviewer, I freaking love how Robert has essentially made every MC in these books queer. It makes my heart happy.

Overall, a super fun time listening to this. I will never say no to a Katee Robert book. I came for the spice and stayed for the plot AND the spice. If you've enjoyed this series thus far then I think you'll really enjoy Wicked Beauty!

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced listener's copy in exchange for an honest review.

I thought this book was good but it wasn't something that I would ever re-read or tell a friend to read. It just felt less interesting than so many other books that I've read/listened to. I really liked the narrator but the story itself didn't grip me. Maybe I'll try it again in the form of a print novel and my opinion may change. Sometimes I find the format of the book can alter the way I feel about books.

I have loved ever instalment of this series and the third book is no exception. The author has a way of blending steaming hot prose with complex characters that I'm nothing short of addicted to

This was incredibly spicy!

If you've read one or both of the novels preceding this one then you'll know spicy is nothing shocking. But wow, I was certainly impressed!

Wicked Beauty is a twist on Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus. There has always been speculation on the relationship between Achilles and Patroclus, and the author certainly went with one idea and sprinted toward the finish line.

The story circulates around all three characters, all of them getting POV chapters, and the reader is gifted with some mightily detailed m/m/f moments. One of the things that impressed me the most was how Katee doesn't shy away from ANYTHING.

Some of the storyline did throw me off a little bit, but Wicked Beauty does add some background plot to continue with the next book.

The narrators were Alex Moorcock & Zara Hampton-Brown, the same narrators of the first two novels, and they were still great at bringing these characters to life. I do wish there had been a second male narrator so both Achilles and Patroclus would have been more distinct.

Again, if you enjoyed Neon Gods and/or Electric Idol then you will enjoy Wicked Beauty and all of the spiciness JAM PACKED inside.

This is book 3 of the Dark Olympus Series. It completely stands alone and you don't need any prior knowledge of the series to enjoy this book. If you do read in sequence, you'll just have a little more depth on characters than have previously been introduced from the perspective of characters not in this book.

In this story we focus on the appointment of the new Ares. It's one of the positions within the 13 that anyone can put themselves in the running for and have the potential to elevate themselves to the equivalent of city royalty. However, you need to have a decent amount of strength, cunning and strategy skills (all of which are important for the person who will lead the army of Olympus at the end of the contest).

The story focuses on the following contenders for the title of Ares through the contest:
- Helen: Sister of the current Zeus, wanting to prove she isn't a pawn to be moved around, full of more strength and depth than anyone realizes is beneath her public persona as a golden princess
- Achilles: Second in command to Athena, rising from humble non-existent beginnings to reach his goal to be in charge. Power and control and respect are within his grasp and he's determined to get that win.
- Patroclus: partner to Achilles in and out of the bedroom since they were teens, super smart and a strategy genius. He joins the contest to boost Achilles' chances of making it to the final round.

This is a polyamory/ménage story where Helen finds herself in proximity to a pre-existing couple who have very open boundaries on their relationship. Both men have a strong reaction to her and she to them so when they are living in shared quarters as part of the champion sequester, things are bound to heat up.

This book has politics, it has competition both physical and mental, it has super spicy scenes that we expect from Katee Robert in multiple combinations of these 3 partners. There is family drama and foreshadowing of potential future conflict and a beautiful building and layering of this city, culture, ruling structure and world that is just so tangible.

The Audiobook is performed by Alex Moorecock and Zara Hampton-Brown. They both narrated the first 2 books in the series and it's great to have them back again. Alex did a great job voicing both Achilles and Patroclus. They were separate and distinct characters, I could always tell them apart. He had great range of emotion for these two from frustrated sighing of names to yelling in anger or moaning in passion. Zara brought Helen to life and it was fun to listen to her battle with inner voices, self worth and conflicts of true self vs. projected image.

I requested an advanced copy of the audio via NetGalley and this is my honest review.

I have always had a soft spot for Achilles and Patroclus, so I knew this book was going to be a homeroom for me. Plus it's by my all time favorite author.

The Aries has just died and his position amongst the thirteen is up for grabs. Not only will the winner get to become one of the thirteen, they will also get to marry the Zeus' sister Helen. Helen has been a pawn all of her life and wants to take back her freedom. The only way to do this is to compete in the competition herself.

Achilles and Patroclus are contestants, mostly because Achilles wants the job and Patroclus is his lover and brains. However they soon find themselves entangled with Helen and lines began to get cross. They soon realize that the life they thought they wanted might not be all it's cracked up to be.

Plenty of steam, plenty of angst, with a fun competition! If you are a fan of KR, then you'll love this.

Rating: 5/5
I was given the audio book from Netgalley for my honest opinion

She was the face that launched a thousand ships,
The fierce beauty at the heart of Olympus,
And she was never ours to claim.
*A scorchingly hot modern retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus that's as sinful as it is sweet.*
In Olympus, you either have the power to rule...or you are ruled. Achilles Kallis may have been born with nothing, but as a child he vowed he would claw his way into the poisonous city's inner circle. Now that a coveted role has opened to anyone with the strength to claim it, he and his partner, Patroclus Fotos, plan to compete and double their odds of winning.
Zeus may have decided Helen is his to give to away, but she has her own plans. She enters into the competition as a middle finger to the meddling Thirteen rulers, effectively vying for her own hand in marriage. Unfortunately, there are those who would rather see her dead than lead the city. The only people she can trust are the ones she can't keep her hands off—Achilles and Patroclus. But can she really believe they have her best interests at heart when every stolen kiss is a battlefield?

Wow, like wow. This book was amazing! I enjoyed the plot and the settings; Katee knows how to write a book. If you have read the first two books you will not be disappointed with this one. This book is not just hot, it is blazing. There were times when this audiobook was so intense that whenever someone would walk up to me, I would hurry up and take out my earbud and act like I wasn’t listening to an amazingly spicy book. Katee wrote up an amazing trio in this book. The bloodthirsty characters in this book were amazing, how they all wanted the same thing varied reasons, but then it came to them having a love triangle that just clicked.

The action in this book was amazing from the torments to the action in the sheets 😉

I do have to say that I felt so bad for Helen in the beginning of the book, the way her family and her really made you connect with Helen as a person, I don’t know about you but I just wanted to hug her and befriend her. However, to have Achilles and Patroclus there and befriending her and supporting her in their own way was great. What wonderful friends/hot sexy individuals.

Now can we talk about the narrators of this book, OMG! Wow they did a wonderful job, I really enjoyed hearing this book by both narrators, they really brought to life this book. The emotion and the highlighted scenes of this book were really done right.

I can not wait to see what else Katee will come up with for this Olympus series. If you have not read this series and you love mythology and paranormal romance you really need to pick up this book/audio

I received this book from Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for my honest review. I want to thank them both for allowing me the opportunity to review this audio.

Like the previous 2 books in the Dark Olympus series, Wicked Beauty also didn’t disappoint when it came to the smut-duh.
Although I lived for the steamy scenes, I actually ended up enjoying the plot equally as much! Definitely one of Robert’s best books in terms of world building, and I truly was immersed in the Aries trials.
My one erk with this instalment turned out to be Achilles. Although he’s supposed to be an arrogant asshole, I still found his alpha male attitude somewhat insufferable. He did have a good character arc, but it was the last 15 pages of the novel.
Overall 3.5/5 stars.

Holy 🥵🔥⁣

I lovedddd this book!! This series just keeps getting better and hotter and I can’t get enough! I binged this one! ⁣

I loved Helen’s strength and ambition, she was such a bad ass. Achilles was so sexy with how confident and self assured he was, and he was cocky at times but also softened when he needed to. Patroclus was so intelligent and reminded me of a sexy nerd; and who doesn’t love a sexy nerd?!⁣

Have I mentioned I have a wee bit of an obsession with multi partner book relationships? ⁣

This trio was FIREWORKS and MAGIC! They were rough and hot but also tender and caring. ⁣

This also sort of had an adult hunger games vibe and I really liked that too!⁣

I went back and forth reading and listening so I wouldn’t have to put it down often and the narration was wonderful too. I loved the accents, I was swooning. So well done!⁣

Nobody is surprised, I LOVED every minute of this book.
Helen, Achilles, and Patroclus are an absolute dream and I could've listened to them banter forever. Even when they were on my nerves by having the same argument 100 times, I wasn't even THAT mad about it. The way they balanced each other out was so beautiful and I loved watching them mesh into a beautiful throuple. The challenges were entertaining, the politics were intriguing and the sex was BOMB.
Kattee Robert just knows how to capture my heart. I am going to be thinking about these three beautiful souls for a while and am already counting down to the next book in the series!

Do I love Katee Robert’s books? Sure do! Do I love retellings of classics? Without a doubt! So when I was given a chance to review Wicked Beauty that comes out on June 7th I jumped at the chance.

In this book we have a retelling of Helen of Troy, Achilles , and Patroclus. In this story Helen is a pawn in the world of Olympus. Her brother has just been named Zeus, Ares is now dead after ruling for 60 years and now they have to have a battle of champions to see who the new Ares in the ruling 13 will be. When they get to the party to see who is throwing their hat into the ring to become Ares, Helen learns that she is to be the prize for the new Ares as their wife.

This book is so steamy. We get to see the love between Achilles and Patroclus prior to them being reintroduced to Helen and then we also get to see the love that develops between the three. This book is the third in the series but it truly can be read as a standalone. Please if you are a lover of romance you need to read this.

I really enjoyed this installment in the Dark Olympus series! Robert gave us more action- in terms of spice and suspense - than any of the previous books, and I enjoyed it. I really felt for Helen, and not to spoil anything, but my opinion of some side characters did change. I loved how Helen went about achieving her goals, and I supported them. Patroclus also won my heart, while Achilles was generally difficult for me to put up with. The three of them really were good together, and this one made me excited for the next in the series! Solid read, and I highly recommend it. Also since this version was the audiobook that I listened to, I loved the voices. I'm not well-versed in audiobooks, but the way the actors spoke really added to the tension and drama! Listen to this if you can.

Wicked Beauty is book 3 in the Dark Olympus series and follows Helen of Troy, Achilles, and Patroclus. Helen has spent her life navigating the politics of the Thirteen but has always wanted more for her life. When her brother becomes the new Zeus and Ares dies, he announces the winner of the trials to become the new Ares will win Helen as the bride. She is furious and decides to participate in the trials to become Ares herself. This puts her in straight competition with Achilles and Patroclus who also are in the trials. After an assassination attempt on her life, they take Helen in to protect her which ends in a love triangle you will devour! I loved the audiobook version as it was so well done. I couldn’t stop listening and highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for giving me the opportunity to listen to the Audio ARC of Wicked Beauty, book three in the Dark Olympus series by Katee Robert! This book releases June 7th!

Within the first three chapters I knew this was going to be my favorite Dark Olympus book so far, and I WAS RIIIIIIGHT!!! Oh my god this was so much fun.

Olympus is ruled by The Thirteen, positions of power modeled after the gods of their namesake. Each position is filled in different ways, some are legacy positions like Zeus or Hades, others elected. This book follows Achilles, Patroclus, and Helen of Troy as they COMPETE in a tournament of trials for the position of Ares. While they are competing we see how these three main characters’ relationships with each other grows and complicates, and it is so, so hot 🥵🥹📚 The way Katee Robert always talks about consent and agency in her books makes me SWOOOOON.

Literally cannot recommend this one enough for fans of the Dark Olympus series or anyone who might want to start the series 🥰

Obsessed with this series and this one is right up there. Not my favorite but they are all my favorites! Highly recommend! I loved the switch in families and I never want this series to end

This series just gets better and better! I absolutely LOVED this throuple. There is so much sugar and spice. These are three people that have what appears to be three contrasting personalities but they are just so perfect together! The only thing that would have made this better was more 🍆! 😉

These narrators are again, perfect for the story. There voices ARE Olympus! I can’t imagine anyone else narrating Dark Olympus!

DISCLAIMER: I received this book free from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

A special thank you to Dreamscape Media, Sourcebooks and NetGalley for allowing me to listen to this Advanced Copy of the audio book version of Wicked Beauty,

Let me start by saying I am a HUGE Katee Robert fan after reading Neon Gods and Electric Idols. They were both super engaging - quick reads and steamy too!.....well Wicked Beauty did not disappoint as we learn more about the Thirteen, Dark Olympus and truly what it takes to survive. This book is focused on fulfilling the newly vacated position of Ares....I did enjoy that it was more than a 2 MC perspective this time around...Helen, Achilles and Patroclus. Loved this book even more because another fave of mine is Song of Achilles - so having another story focus on Patroclus and Achilles was amazing. Katee Robert is brings the heat, the romance and more! I didn't want it to end!

Wicked Beauty is the newest installment of the Dark Olympus series. When the former Ares dies, a competition begins to crown the next Ares. Though Zeus intends to give his sister, Helen, away as a prize to the winner, Helen has other plans and enters the competition herself. Achilles has always had his eyes set on a position within The Thirteen and he and his partner, Patroclus, aim to increase their odds of Achilles winning it all. Both Achilles and Patroclus find themselves drawn to Helen in a way that both of them have trouble putting to words.

All in all, I really liked this newest installment! This series (and author) have a chokehold on me that I, too, cannot really explain! It's not my favorite of the 3 books that are currently out but I can't fully say why. I think this one was a bit more angsty in terms of couple/throuple dynamics than the other books have been. There was a ton of internal dialogue, even in the midst of spicy scenes which was kind of funny.

The dual narration was great! It's the same narrators as for Electric Idol (and I think Neon Gods but I'm not sure) and I really like them!

I will absolutely continue to keep reading this series and this author! If you've liked her other books, I would recommend this. I do think you should read this series in order just because you'd lose some of the plot I think.

Thank you to Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the audiobook ARC of this book in exchange for a review!

Another homerun for Katee Robert! This is a re-telling of the Trojan war in a sense. It's a fight to become one of the Thirteen. The title of Ares is up for grabs and many warriors are in it to win it. Along with the title comes the hand of Helen, sister to the new Zeus, Perseus. Helen is not one to sit around and wait to be rescued. She decides to enter the tournament herself for the title of Ares. But her feelings for Achilles and Patrocles are warring with her fight for freedom. Who will win the title of Ares and who can Achilles, Helen and Patrocles make their relationship work?

*Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this e-arc.*
