All things kate clay born does are soft, heartfelt and lovely. She has such a way with characters and language. I always want a little more heat, and this was not my favorite of hers, but it was lovely to watch Georgie find herself.

Honestly, you can't go wrong with Kate Clayborn. I loved this book. Georgie is on a journey to self discovery after her position ends. She moves home to help her pregnant best friend and figure out what she wants to do next. She finds the notebook her and her friend kept with their bucket list item. However, Levi, the brother of her former teenage crush, becomes her roommate and stops her from jumping off the pier.

This book was beautiful and Levi was a dream. I was rooting for them to figure out how to get out of their own way. Kate Clayborn wins again.

Did I enjoy this book? Meh… it was cute and had good character growth… but it just was not my thing. I tried to step outside my horror/thriller/speculative fiction comfort bubble to read something more heartwarming but this just didn’t do it for me (as I expected).

THAT BEING SAID, if you do like a cute grumpy/sunshine small-town romance with family drama, I would definitely recommend this to you. I do think that people who normally like this genre will
enjoy this book. Georgie’s awesome parents, her supportive friends Bel and Harry, and Levi’s dog Hank are all side characters who really make the book shine.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced review copy of “Georgie, All Along” by Kate Clayborn. Thoughts and opinions are my own.

I have previously enjoyed Love Lettering and Beginner’s Luck by this author. This book was a miss for me, but someone who really likes character driven romances might enjoy it. I feel like there was this interesting premise with Georgie’s sort of bucket list goals but I have read other books that have done this better. This plot point felt like a bit of an afterthought that the author kept forgetting about. It seemed like Georgie did a lot of the things off page too.

This story was kind of boring. There’s so much hanging on Levi’s mysterious backstory. We’re literally in his POV and he still keeps us in the dark. For way too long, Georgie just shrugs and says “guess I won’t ask anyone about anything.” It felt like we were just killing time with significant glances and miscommunication especially with Levi’s backstory. And then at the end Levi and his siblings just kind of brushed it all off and became friends again? What was the point?

I wish the chapters had been broken up more. They are so long and dragging. There’s a subplot with Georgie’s pregnant friend that took up way too much page time.

A big plus is I picked this up on audio and the male narrator was phenomenal. I think I would have struggled to read this physically but the male narrator at least made up for some of the boring stretches.

I don’t think the author should have included the Harry Potter reference. That could have easily been changed.

The third act breakup was kind of cringey. It made me question if Georgie was actually after Levi’s brother all along. I think it should have been stronger to show how Georgie felt about Levi.

Overall this wasn’t for me but might be for readers who like heavily character driven books. I would highly recommend the audiobook.

I can so see this one as a Hallmark movie….it has all the elements of feel good and spice to bring the reader on a romantic ride. MC Georgie is finding her footing in her hometown after her career has veered off course. Enter Levi, sexy and broody small town guy who has a secret from his past. The relationship was respectful and sweet and had all the feels. Really enjoyed this light romance.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the eARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and opinion.

Georgie is set adrift when her movie director boss decides to retire and no longer needs an assistant. To give herself time to figure out next steps, she goes back to her hometown to house-sit for her parents and visit her pregnant best friend, Anabel. While sorting through memories from high school, Georgie comes across a notebook the two girls had filled to the brim with plans and goals for their teenage years. It was a bucket list of sorts, and Georgie's section came complete with descriptions of dreamy dates with the perfect boy. But sharing house-sitting duties with that boy's now-grown-up big brother isn't her idea of a good time. Levi Fanning was the town troublemaker back then. He broke all sorts of rules and laws, and he is now entirely estranged from his family. Still, after a rocky introduction, he offers to help her cross something things off her list, and they strike up an unlikely friendship which soon turns into something more. As they both wrestle with their places in the world, will they find that where they most belong is with each other?

While not quite as compelling as Clayborn's other two books (by which I mean the underlying themes and message were only slightly less deep and meaningful but no less enjoyable), Georgie, All Along still hits all the right notes with flawed-but-trying characters, sweet-but-imperfect relationships, and an adorable dog who stole pretty much every scene he was in. I can absolutely imagine this as a TV show--there's a big enough charismatic supporting cast who could all carry their own storylines, a cross between Hart of Dixie and Dawson's Creek-The Adult Years. I'd totally watch.

I continue to be impressed by this author and will read anything she writes!

4.5 Stars - What a great read! Georgie is full of heart, whimsy, and earnestness. Levi is the epitome of a bad guy gone good. Like the rest of us, he’s working on himself. He has two trusted friends (a local carpenter and his lovable dog). They’re so cute together. There’s even a villain, who’s easy to dislike. This one has it all.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Georgie has a long history of putting others first, which has led her to having a successful career as a personal assistant. But when she unexpectedly loses her job and leaves LA to return to her hometown in Virginia, she realizes she really never considers her own needs. At home, she finds an old diary she shared with her best friend, documenting how she imagined her life would go. She decides to take some of the challenges and do the things her teenage self envisioned she would do. When she ends up sharing her parents house with Levi, a mysterious and grumpy man with a big reputation in town, he offers to help her with this journey.

This sweet small town romance was everything Hallmark dreams are made of. It has the chemistry and tension, the type of forced proximity that only makes sense in romance novels/movies, a wonderful cast of side characters including a dog, and a great message about finding your own way and that it is never too late to start over and live your dreams. The growth and character development in this story was phenomenally written. This was just such a sweet book!

Thank you to Kensington Books for the advance copy.

I'm a little late to the party, but I am finally here. I just finished Georgie, All Along and absolutely LOVED it. That should be no surprise, as everything Kate Clayborn writes I love. This book was sweet and tender and steamy. The characters were well-developed. And the story was well told. All things I expect from a Kate Clayborn book. I loved Georgie and absolutely adored Levi. I have a thing for the misunderstood hero. If you haven't read a book by Kate Clayborn, this is the perfect place to start!!

Longtime personal assistant Georgie Mulcahy has made a career out of putting others before herself. When an unexpected upheaval sends her away from her hectic job in L.A. and back to her hometown, Georgie must confront an uncomfortable truth: her own wants and needs have always been a disconcertingly blank page.

But then Georgie comes across a forgotten artifact—a “friendfic” diary she wrote as a teenager, filled with possibilities she once imagined. To an overwhelmed Georgie, the diary’s simple, small-scale ideas are a lifeline—a guidebook for getting started on a new path.

Georgie’s plans hit a snag when she comes face to face with an unexpected roommate—Levi Fanning, onetime town troublemaker and current town hermit. But this quiet, grouchy man is more than just his reputation, and he offers to help Georgie with her quest. As the two make their way through her wishlist, Georgie begins to realize that what she truly wants might not be in the pages of her diary after all, but right by her side—if only they can both find a way to let go of the pasts that hold them back.

Honest and deeply emotional, Georgie, All Along is a smart, tender must-read for everyone who’s ever wondered about the life that got away . . .

Well this one was a delight. The characters are lovable, complex and fun. The writing is wonderful and completely believable as it switches back and forth between points of view. The way Georgie goes through realistic ebbs and flows in the process of self actualization also made this book even more appealing. This story is not about sacrificing parts of the self to be with someone or about romantic partners saving each other. It’s about people realizing who they’ve always been and continuing good work they’ve already started to allow more capacity for relationships in their lives. This is the kind of romance book I want to read more of.

Thank you to Net Galley, the author and Kensington Books for the free ebook for review.

I love Kate Clayborn, and this did not disappoint!! She is brilliant at developing characters and chemistry, and I was rooting for Georgie & Levi so hard!! Georgie is a wonderful main character, and her journey was very emotional and sweet.

I've enjoyed all of Clayborn's novels that I've read thus far, however, Georgie, All Along was a bit too slow of a burn for me - taking me over half the book to finally start to care about the characters and the relationship. Ultimately, the latter half won me over - hence rounding a 3.5 up to 4 stars for this review.

This was a cute book! It was fun moving through her journal as she navigates her adult life -- with her cute roommate by her side. It was a fun read and I'd definitely recommend to others!

I was excited for this book - especially given the reviews and buzz online. Unfortunately, it fell flat. Pacing was slow, characters were bland, and the writing style just didn't work for me.

This was such a cute read! It was definitely light on plot, but still a fun read. The characters were relatable and likable. Though, I think the main conflicts could've been delved into a bit deeper.

This was a great romcom that really had me rooting for the characters. Just steamy enough for me! I loved the friendship/family dynamics as well, and felt like the conflict/payoff was well earned.

I know I took months to actually finish this, but I swear that's not a reflection of how well-written this book is! Honestly, it's hard for me to review because while it's a beautiful story that made me think (and think deeply, I even brought this book up in therapy 😂), I don't believe this book was for me. And that's ok! It has some of my least favorite tropes and character archetypes, but I did absolutely love the ending and how everything came together, for the most part. I love KC's writing and will read anything she puts out!

I loved this book. This is the third book I've read byKate Clyborn and it might be my favorite. The bit of magic in Love Lettering was amazing, and Love at First takes place in Chicago and I'm from Chicago so that connection was special , but Georgie just made me smile. For the whole book. I want Georgie- and Levi- in my life.

This books was as much about self-discovery and growth as it was about romance. Also the idea that with the right person we might feel that much more comfortable in our own skin. I loved the story, the family and friends, Levi and Georgie's stories, and, most of all, their connection and growth together.
