Thank you to Kensington Books and NetGalley for this excerpt!

I can't wait to read the rest of this book... Clayborn is unparalleled on the line level in this genre. Already falling in love with the characters here.

A few days later, the full manuscript arrived! Once again, Clayborn proves she is one of the best in the biz. I LOVE her writing. This book is so tender and raw. Great emotional development with both characters. I laughed, I cried! Highly recommend!

Add Georgie, All Along to the pantheon of Kate Clayborn comfort reads, because there's no doubt it warrants a place among her very best. Quiet but powerful, nuanced but unfussy, sexy but so sweet my heart squeezed like a sponge... this book is exactly what I want in a contemporary romance, and I already can't wait to read it again.

Three-sentence summary: After her hectic, high-octane job as a personal assistant in LA ends suddenly, Georgie Mulcahy returns to her VA hometown to figure out her next steps, using the teenage diary she and her bestie filled with their dreams for the future as a guide. Meanwhile, Levi Fanning, the town's reformed troublemaker, knows his future will unfold in an orderly fashion that allows him to prove -- to himself, his estranged family, everyone who ever knew his younger self -- that he's different from the young, angry, hurt teen who ruined everything all those years ago. When Georgie's messy quest for meaning intersects with Levi's orderly life, neither expects to find a friend -- and so much more -- in the other.

Georgie, All Along brings together all the best parts of Clayborn's writing: intricately realized small-town life; vivid, varied secondary characters; MCs you'll want to hold close to your soul; and complex, deeply-felt emotional arcs with authentic, satisfactory conclusions. Perfect for fans of Second First Impressions by Sally Thorne or The Soulmate Equation by Christina Lauren.

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the advance copy.

The first few chapters of Georgie, All Along introduces a young woman searching for her purpose after leaving a deadbeat job behind - a daunting endeavor we can identify and empathize with to the core. The intro of Georgie's story is one of new beginnings and the weight of wondering where to start in a fresh chapter in life that is at once terrifying and exciting with its plethora of possibilities. This is a story of returning to old roots in order to reignite the spark and lust for life that is easily summoned in our youth but just as easily turns stale in the face of the reality and responsibility of adulthood.
Highly recommended for lovers of Emily Henry, and anyone who has a soft spot for flawed main characters who have a heart of gold and strong sense of self-agency, as well as swoon-worthy love interests.
Really looking forward to seeing how the rest of Georgie's story unravels.

Please, please, please can you give us more than one chapter? I literally gasped out loud when I came to the end of the preview!

It starts out great! I’m curious to find out what will happen next. Georgie is a very relatable character and since Evan has only muttered a few words I’m unsatisfied!

This is from the email I sent to Kate's team after I finished reading this book. To say I am in love with it is such an offensive understatement, it's ridiculous. "I AM OBSESSED WITH THIS BOOK. I love this book to the marrow of every bone, my GOD. THIS is the book. I call it now. If this book doesn't blow up everywhere, I'm gonna light something on fire (probably, like, a candle or maybe just a match held over the sink because I'm a nice kid and don't condone property damage)." You see, I am not joking or passing along inflated praise. I really think this is KC's breakout novel and I am so SO excited for readers everywhere to get their hands on it.

And here is our official blurb:
Outright perfection! With every new Kate Clayborn novel, I think, ‘This. It cannot possibly get better than this.’ And then Georgie comes along and blows every other book out of the water. It is rare to fall in love with characters at the same pace and to the same depth that they do on the page, but Clayborn’s writing is so immersive, so exuberant, it’s a truly multisensory experience. A classic author writing in the modern age, Clayborn is in a league entirely her own. And Georgie, All Along is her best yet.

To be honest, my download of "Georgie, All Along" was incomplete; it stopped abruptly after Chapter 3. I feel like this was probably an unintentional NetGalley issue, but at the end point I was hooked. (Conveniantly, this sudden stop also felt like a honest-to-god romantic comedy cliffhanger. Anyway, the first three chapters laid out the premise--live in the moment, non-planner Georgie finds herself going back home after being laid off from her job as a personal assistant in Hollywood. Georgie is aimless, but relatable. She discovers some of her teenage writing and, instead of being horrified, is inspired to get out and live life again. Overall, solid opening to a book that seemed to have a lot going for it.

Really fun start and I can’t wait to read the whole book. I love that friendship is central to the story and the idea of not knowing where you fit in when your friends lives change.

I didn't realize that this was only an excerpt of the book, so I was confused when it stopped suddenly after only a few chapters. However, I enjoyed what I read and look forward to reading the rest of "Georgie, All Along" by Kate Clayborn!

Even though this was only three chapters, I'm hooked! I've really enjoyed Kate Clayborn's novels in the past and "Georgie, All Along" seems to be just as delightful. I already love Georgie and Bel's friendship, and I found Georgie to be incredibly relatable. I can't wait to read the rest!

Kate Clayborn can do no wrong — so excited to read more of this! Georgie shows signs of being one of my favorite Kate Clayborn heroines yet😊

A brief snippet of a Kate Clayborn book is always sure to get you anticipating how good the full thing will be. I'm intrigued about Georgie's path leading her home and thr finak introduction to Levi is an absolutely brilliant (but conniving 😂) point to draw readers in.

Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

Another great start to a Kate Clayborn novel. I connect with Georgie feeling a bit lost about what her next step should be and going back home to try and figure things out. Also, I love the “shame shake”! I cannot wait to read the full novel!

A fantastic first few chapters! Georgie's headed back to her Virginia hometown after losing her long-term job as a personal assistant to a Hollywood director. Feeling directionless and worried about her welcome back after a troubled high school career, her one bright spot is her bestie Bel, who's always been her biggest supporter. When Georgie and Bel discover a fanfic novel they wrote about their high school aspirations, something unlocks inside Georgie that she didn't know was there and can't explain...but may be the key to finding the answers to the questions she's been asking herself all along. Kate Clayborn is at her descriptive best, with vivid characterizations and atmospheric descriptions that make you feel like you're in the passenger seat of Georgie's Prius. I can't wait to read the rest!

I can't give a true review as this is just the first 3 chapters, but what I read I really enjoyed. I love all of Kate Clayborn's books and I'm so excited to read this one as well. Clayborn is such a wonderful writer and her characters are always so well-rounded and relatable. She writes such great romances and female friendships. I didn't realize this was just the first 3 chapters, so I was a little disappointed, but it made me that much more eager to read Georgie, All Along when the full ARC gets released!
