A little to sweet for me-I found the characters unsympathetic and unbelievable-there were a lot of Christmas touches but nothing could redeem this book for me.

Looking for a read that wraps you up, feeling cosy and warm, too?
Look no further, this is the book for you!
The theme of Christmas is predominant all the way through,
Permeating everything this delightful community do.

It is the story of Sky Terran, her present and past
As she moves back to the village where she was so happy last.
After a fall out with her foster brother and his wife to be
Sky resigns from her job, a new future she'll see.

An auction is where she buys the Corner House on Winter Street,
Learning how moving there changes her and others is a real treat.
A story of facing adversity whilst being true to yourself, too,
Supporting others and your dreams, hoping they will come true.

It is an emotional read, as adversity causes pain
But by working through it, there are many who will gain.
A new beginning in a place that holds special memories in her heart
With new friendships, challenges and a fresh start.

The influence of a traumatic childhood still have adult impact, too,
But understanding and support will help them all pull through.
There are plenty of problems, twists and turns they have to face
As this close knit community welcomes Sky into the place.

There's also possible romances, family drama and much more
As the annual street decorating gives them ideas to explore.
There's even a young man, facing troubles of his own
And a neighbour whose ex's return could really make you groan!

What a delightful read this proved to be
Full of problems to overcome, love and seasonal festivity.
For my complementary copy of this book, I say thank you,
Such a wonderful wintry read and this is my honest review.

i am not sure if this is part of a series, as I kept thinking I was missing something, the characters were likable but didn't really have any depth, there is the usual "will they won't they" but overall it was a good read if you just want to curl up on a cold day with a hot chocolate.

A lovely Christmas read with a marvelous cast of characters. Really heart-warming and a lovely story. Highly recommended for a festive read!

Although this story has the feel good factor we expect from a Christmas story it also tackles some very serious issues. Sky Terran was once a once one of the foster children of Nan Heather in the lovely village of Middledip. Here she celebrated her only happy Christmas as a child. When the corner house in Middledip appears for sale at auction and she is suddenly out of work (thanks to Minnie the minx) it feels as though fate is pushing her to return to those happy times.
Beating others at the sale she manages to purchase corner house which is badly in need of some TLC and starts renovating it straight away. With a Christmas street light competition on the horizon Sky accepts help from her neighbours. As she prunes away years of neglect in the garden and helps Winter Street get ready for the big light switch on she finds friendship and comes to terms with some of her past.
A brilliant Christmas read

I read Christmas Wishes back in December 2020 so I was delighted to be able to pick up this tale, A White Christmas on Winter Street as I know that Sue Moorcroft's writing style is a good fit for me.

This is a wonderful romance story, a light, uplifting read that many people look for at Christmas time. Sky Terran has lost her job running Freddy Walker Acquisitions, a property company with her foster brother, Freddy, and finds herself buying a beautiful run-down home - 1 Winter Street - in Middledip in Cambridgeshire. Sky's passion for the village where she spent a year with Nan Heather gave me a lovely opportunity to revisit Middledip and some of the characters from the previous book, but I believe the story would also be wonderful as a stand-alone read. Sky doesn’t really have a family to call her own and many folks have let her down so the tight-knit community of Middledip could be a real tonic for her or will it? The author deals with Sky’s wariness with care and the essentials for a perfect festive romance are all present; fairy lights, mulled wine, Christmas trees, snow, Christmas pudding all aflame, and cookies. Middledip village sounds like the place to be for Christmas. Add in a love interest also and the job is a good one!

This review was written voluntarily and my rating was in no way influenced by the fact that I received a complimentary digital copy of this novel from Avon Books via NetGalley.

This book is just magical and really fuels my desire to get outside in the snow, I know it’s not likely to happen any time soon but when it does I’ll be donning my wellies and keeping my eyes peeled for the snow stories like Sky. Nature plays a massive part of this book and it’s prompted me to refill my little bird feeder set up – I’ve also been rather tempted to make some shaped fat balls as they sound incredible, rather festive and pretty simple – even if very messy!

Sky is a lovely character who hasn’t had the perfect upbringing but she doesn’t let this stop her and instead almost uses her experience to fuel her desire to succeed. She’s such a kind soul and I loved how quickly she got involved in the village activities, although it is helped by her neighbour Marietta welcoming her with hot chocolate and warm cookies, followed by an invite to the local pub quiz.

Daz is also a fab person but his kindness is almost his downfall as he can find it hard to say no which can sometimes lead to trouble. He’s taken on the role of shoulder for Courtney and Wilf and its the relationship with Wilf that draws him closer to Sky, you get the sense that something special could happen here as Daz starts to see Sky for who she really is.

As with Christmas Wishes it’s the younger generations who almost steal the show, seeing Wilf bloom and grow in confidence after listening to Sky’s stories and starting to integrate with the other children in the village is one of the highlights of the book and it gives that warmth to you. There are of course other heart warming moments in this book but I’m not going to spoil it for you so would just recommend reading it yourself.

This was such a lovely book from Sue, she’s got the balance just right with both happy and sad moments, but you finish the book with a smile on your face. I also can’t wait to start seeing the lights going up in my local area and will definitely look for a few more eco friendly ideas and ways to introduce more wildlife into my garden, especially birds as I’d love to sit and watch them from my window with a cup of tea in my hand.

I absolutely loved this Christmas read from Sue Moorcroft, I mean I may be a bit biased as she is one of my go to authors for a romance or even better, a Christmas romance like this is. Her stories have everything you could want in them, community, friendships, love obviously, but for this one you can add snow, Christmas spirit, forgiveness and hope.

Sky, I loved her so much, you can’t help but feel for her and connect with her , even if I’m not an eco-vegan perfect soul that she is, she’s so likeable and you just want her to come out on top every time. Darragh is our gorgeous leading man, he seems so perfect, gorgeous, charming (once the initial hostility has passed) and loves kids, is he too good to be true ? Well you’ll have to read it to find out because you’ll get no spoilers from me.

I loved reading about the restoration, let’s face it purchasing a gorgeous old house abd doing it up is a dream for a lot of people, or it is for me, so the only way I get close without winning the lottery is in books like this. I also love how the house is a haven, not only for Sky but for others too (again no spoilers) and becomes a central part of the community too.

I found this story quite emotional at times, with the histories and issues with the characters, it’s a hard heart that wouldn’t be moved by this story. I loved the end so much, absolutely beautiful, my mushy and soft self loved how heart-warming it was. But I guess you’ll have to buy a copy (or borrow from your local library) to find out how beautiful this gorgeous Christmas tale is , you won’t regret it.

Thanks to Sue Moorcroft and Rachel’s Random Resources for the opportunity to enjoy and take part in the blog tour for this beautiful story. For full disclosure I was given a free ebook in return for a voluntary and honest review, all opinions are my own and freely given.

Had a hard time getting into this one....the writing was off for me in retrospect it really didn't catch my attention. Rating for me was a 2.5 star and I rounded up to 3 star.
I'm sorry to the author but I did finish it and it had a good ending.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books for allowing me to read an advanced digital copy for an honest review.

Wonderfully festive Christmas book full of hope and joy, overcoming dysfunctional family dynamics and more. Touching, poignant, wise, warm and heartening, whilst sensitive and not gliding over difficult issues.
Sky Terran has lost her job with her foster brother Freddy, and finds herself buying a beautiful run down, overgrown home in Middledip in Cambridgeshire. This is a place of some happier memories from her childhood in foster homes and where she meets a wonderful community and finds some healing.
For regular Sue Moorcroft readers, this is a chance to revisit Middledip and some characters from previous books, but also wonderful as a stand alone read!
The village is full of some brilliant characters, giving me a smile, or a frown…..Sky is like super woman at times, yet full of knowledge, sensible, grounded, and very likeable!!
Loved reading this brilliant festive read and can highly recommended, and already have to family and friends!!!
Thank you to Netgalley and Avon books.

A white Christmas on winter street has me wanting to go into the loft and get all of the Christmas decorations down ready for the festive season.
A brilliant Christmas read with some great characters and the community of Winter Street sounded so welcoming. Sky hasn’t had it easy and it felt like The Corner House and Winter street were just what she needed to make a life of her own - the house itself seemed to be waiting for her to come home. As always Sue Moorcroft has written an emotional and heartfelt story and reading about Sky, Wilf and Courtney has definitely tugged at the heartstrings on more than one occasion.

I’m typing this in an airport hotel as I’m just about to head off to the Caribbean for a week (not trying to make you all jealous or anything!), so I’m not really in a ‘snowy Christmas‘ headspace right now. But there is nothing like a Sue Moorcroft Christmas novel to transport you to the festive season, and A White Christmas on Winter Street does not disappoint in this regard, even if your mind is on sun loungers and cocktails!

I really love the main character in this book. Sky Terran is a person who doesn’t really have a family and she is used to that, as all the people she has every cared about have let her down. The perfect set up for her to be drawn in to the tight-knit community in Middledip and shown what can happen when people really care about each other. The author deals with Sky’s isolation and wariness with care and thoughtfulness and the reader is drawn fully into Sky’s perspective, without her becoming pitiful. I loved the exploration of fostering and what it means for the people involved; it is not something you see often in books in this genre.

As well as the main thrust of Sky’s story, of course, there are all the ingredients you want to see in a festive romance. Snow, fairy lights, mulled wine, Christmas trees, cinnamon cookies and mince pies all make an appearance. Sue has created the perfect village in which to spend Christmas, stirred in a cast of charming and quirky characters and finished it off with a big dollop of fun Christmas activities (the alternative Christmas tree competition was a particular highlight for me) – a foolproof recipe for the perfect Christmas romance.

Hang on, I missed out an ingredient. You can’t make a flawless Christmas romance without a delicious love interest. Worry not, there is one of those two. Who doesn’t love a man who loves kids, is all I will say on that front. If you want to know what else makes Darragh so attractive, you’ll have to pick up Sue’s book for yourself. And why wouldn’t you, it’s absolutely perfect for anyone ready to get themselves in the Christmas mood. I am now in the mood for some sun, sea and palm trees, so I’ll see you later.

A really enjoyable Christmassy read which focusses on building friendships in your local community and friends becoming your family. Yes, there is some romance amongst these pages, but I found that Sky's other relationships were primary - particularly with Wilf, who is a troubled soul like Sky herself.
There were some pointers too on living a more eco-friendly life, supporting the wildlife, being vegetarian etc which definitely makes this a more contemporary novel. Overall I enjoyed and would recommend.

My Review: What a lovely Story, I have been looking forward to this BlogTour for ages, there is something so inviting about the cover that makes you want t o dive right in there and meet the characters. Sue’s writing style is inviting, engaging and detailed. We meet Sky who unwittingly parts company with Freddie Walker Aquisitions and then her life takes a turn, new beginnings. Love, Christmas, Popeye’s Spinach and an Angel Cafe, what more could you want? Drama? Christmas Inspirations? This book has it all covered. 5 shiney Stars.

Sky Terran loses her job after difficulties with a coworker. She soon finds herself returning to Middledip and the owner of The Corner House, a run-down building on Winter Street. In an attempt to occupy herself and make her way in the community, Sky joins in on the local Christmas decorating contest.

A White Christmas on Winter Street is a sweet, contemporary holiday novel. There is some romance throughout but the storyline focuses more on Sky’s familial relationships and her budding friendships with her neighbors.

This book is a great choice for anyone looking for a heartwarming, holiday read.

I have read several books by Sue Moorcroft and have yet to be disappointed. She offers a wide variety of characters and compelling storylines. I look forward to reading more from her in the future.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Avon Books UK!

A White Christmas on Winter St. is bursting with holiday joy!

There is just something about a Sue Moorcroft holiday book that gets you into the Christmas spirit. She can always capture that holiday magic in her books and leave her readers feeling happy and oh-so-cozy. A White Christmas on Winter St. follows Sky, who has just moved into the village of Middledip. This village holds a special place in Sky’s heart because it is where Nan (one of her foster carers) lives. We follow Sky as she tries to renovate the outside of her new house for the Christmas Light competition and make some friends along the way.

There is a lot to like about this book; it has wonderful depth and tackles some serious issues while maintaining that romantic charm. The village of Middledip is charming and has some delightful characters living in it. All the characters in this book are warm, realistic and relatable. There wasn’t a character that I felt didn’t add something to this story. Sky is a wonderfully endearing character. Her back story is not happy, but her past experiences don’t stop her from treating people with kindness and wanting to make new friends. Sky’s friendship with little Wilf was the relationship that stood out the most for me in this book. It was so heartwarming and pure. Sky and Wilf helped and encouraged each other to face those situations or problems they avoided (usually around difficult family situations). Their friendship helped their characters grow in some wonderful ways. The cute moments between these two often had me saying, “Wowsers trousers.”

You will love this book if you are a fan of home makeovers and books that feature competitions. It was a lot of fun watching Sky, and her friends frantically try to tame and decorate the wildness that engulfed Sky’s home. Sky’s passion for the environment lept from the pages, and listening to her talk about different animal tracks or how to have a more eco-friendly Christmas was fascinating.

Sky and Daz have this enemy to lovers slightly slow-burn romance going on. Their relationship doesn’t get off to the greatest start when Sky outbids Daz for the Winter St. house. Daz doesn’t trust Sky and is quite abrupt with her for the first bit of the book. Even though these two didn’t get along, the sparks between them were pretty obvious no matter how much they tried to deny it. Sky’s friendship with Wilf was why Daz started to give in to his romantic feelings for her. Overall, I like these two together. Their love story is sweet and spicy and adds some juicy drama to the overall story.

A White Christmas on Winter St. is a sparkling holiday romance that will give you all those holly, jolly feelings.

This is a book about finding community and in the process, finding where you belong. Sky returns to the village of Middledip, where she has happy memories of her time as a child in foster care. Finding herself involved in the lives of her new friends and neigbours, brings an awareness of what has been missing in her life. A lovely Christmas read!

This is the second book by Sue Moorcroft. I liked the first one I read and decided it was time to read another book by her. I am so glad I did.
Sue Moorcroft writes with such a wonderful style she makes me feel like I am right in the story.
The location and time of year this story is wonderful.
Sky had a change in her life she never saw coming and she decides to make her new life the way she wants it to be. After losing the job she loved she moves back to Middledip to spend a quiet Christmas.
Sky soon learns that everyone Winter Street are determined to win this year’s annual street decorating contest. She also learns that she is part of a close-knit community. The community is amazing and as I was reading, I could feel how much this community is one a person could fall in love living there.
Thank you NetGalley, Sue Moorcroft and Avon Books UK for the book A White Christmas on Winter Street. This is my personal review.

This is a gorgeous heartwarming festive read. It is set in the fictional village of Middledip, the location of several of Sue Moorcroft's books. It van definitely be read as a standalone novel though.
I love reading the books that are set in Middledip, it is an idyllic setting, with a lot of community spirit. I loved reading about the Christmas street decorations competition.
I loved the characters of Sky and Daz, as is the case with a lot of Sue Moorcroft's books they have had some previous difficulties in their lives. Sue often writes about gritty subjects but balances it well with feel-good moments too.
I really enjoyed reading this book, I can't wait to visit Middledip again. Thank you to Netgalley and the Publisher for my ARC.
