The Ex-husband is a riveting, unputdownable book for real! When I read through the description I thought this book wouldn't impress having read similar themed books before. But since I've liked Sam Hayes in the past I took a leap of faith & hit send request. I'm so glad I did because this book was so good! Craig had his ex wife Leah in a difficult and dangerous situation and many times I thought I understood where the plot was heading & thought I figured out the end but I was so very wrong. The twists in this domestic suspense thriller are great & ones you will never see coming. I highly recommend this book! I'm only disappointed that I put off reading this book for so long. I thought this book was pretty predictable, there were a couple of twists I didn't see coming. Leah finally got the courage to divorce her abusive husband, but he wasn't happy about it. Leah bought a small place that she could fix up for her and her kids. When the next thing she knew, her ex-husband, Craig, moved in next door to her. What lengths will Craig go to in order to get back at his ex-wife for leaving him?

I have enjoyed this authors previous books but sadly this one did not really cut it for me. I found the storyline too far fetched in places in so much that it just didn't always flow. I felt a little frustrated with the main character with her actions and coupled with it not feeling realistic it was a struggle in places. There are some really good reviews for this so it is definitely worth a read.

This was another great book by Samantha Hayes. I've read many of her books and she always has a surprise or two in store for you. This was no exception. There was a big twist close to the end of the book that I really didn't expect and that was quite shocking. If you are looking for a new thriller, I would add The EX-HUSBAND to your list for a quick and very entertaining read.

Your average abusive husband turn ex husband and she moves away to start a new life but then ends up dead. It was thrilling yet slow in a lot of areas. I didn't care for Leah. It was a little predictable and didn't have a whole lot of surprises. The ending did get me as I wasn't expecting that but the lead up was off.

Highly recommend! An ex-husband who will stop at nothing to ruin his ex-wife's life. I was immediately gripped by the storyline. This is a rollercoaster read with plenty of twists. I loved the authors writing style and I couldn't put the book down. My heart went out to Leah. Who would want their abusive ex living next door? The characters were well developed. The ending was satisfactory. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Great book, first time reading anything from this author and I will definitely go away and read more from her. It was suspenseful and did have some good twists that weren’t easily guessed, a definite page turner, would recommend!

Just the very beginning of a twisty story that sees lots of plot changes and makes a fast paced, interesting, gripping read. This is the first book I’ve read in a long, long time and I was hooked till the end.

The story centres around Leah who I felt I could really relate to, especially now reading as a Mum myself and her intrinsic need to do anything to make her children happy and to keep them safe. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Samantha Hayes is second to none in creating a main character you totally immerse into, living and breathing every moment with her.
You really will for Leah to get the happy ending in this book that she’s been so desperately fighting for as much as she does.

I don’t think I’ve ever empathised with a main character as much as Leah and it’s worth noting this book contains themes of #domesticviolence.

I am really in a psychological thriller read mood lately!

I really liked The Ex-Husband! It was fast paced and really kept me engaged until the very end. I have one word for this entire book…psycho! The one character plays that character so well I truly was waiting for it be fake at some point.

I would highly suggest this book if you’re into thrillers, it took me less than a day to get through.

Samantha Hayes is brilliant writer. this is a sharp, and well written books.. Leah is great character and Craig is a horrible character. I really enjoyed thsi book and look forward to more from this talented writer.

I am a huge fan of Samantha Hayes and have read all of her books - this one is certainly one of the best by this author.

I was hooked from the very beginning to the end, and the twists were so impressive. I love her writing style so I couldn't put it down.

Characters, as ever with Samantha, were well-written and she's so good at creating characters you love to hate. So easy in books like this the characters are so unlikeable the readers struggles to care what happens but this was not the case for Craig!

I highly recommend this book - and the twist was one I actually didn't see coming. So many times books promise this and fail to deliver, but this time I really was surprised!

This was an excellent psychological thriller, a page turner that you can’t put down. There are so many twists and turns throughout that you don’t see coming. The characters were great, the story itself was exciting and the style of writing was perfect. I have loved all the books by this author that I have read, so can’t wait for the next one. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading this genre.

This was a really good thriller! It kept me guessing and I liked the characters. I will be on the lookout for another book by Samantha Hayes.

This is the second book by this author I have tried to read and unfortunately her writing just isn’t for me. It feels juvenile and just gives me cringey feelings instead of wanting to read more to figure it out.

Leah, finally free from her abusive husband, moves with her children into a place of sanctuary. The question is what happens to sanctuary when the person who abused you moves next door. Here is the plot that will keep you guessing. Breathe now because you may not for awhile.

The goosebumps I got when I read that her Ex-husband open the door next-door and walked right in was unreal. This had me staying up way to late into the night having to find out what was happened next!

What would you do if your ex moved in NEXT DOOR. I think I’d be as mad as Leah was. This was a fun, snarky read that I really enjoyed

I sped through this book earlier in the week! I couldn’t put it down! I love a good psychological thriller and Samantha Hayes has hit the nail on the head with The Ex-Husband. It’s full of tension, and suspense with lots of twists. I can’t say too much as I really don’t want to spoil this one for you!

Leah has recently divorced her abusive husband and escaped to a new fixer-upper house with her children. She has scrimped and saved to buy this house and can’t wait to turn it into her own home. She is finally safely in her hew home when new neighbours move in next door. You wouldn’t believe it but it’s her abusive ex-husband and his new girlfriend. At this point, I feel so sorry for Leah. What can she do?

Leah’s life now becomes a nightmare once more as her ex-husband spreads lies and taunts her on a daily basis. How can she escape this? You will have to read the book to find out!

I absolutely loved The Ex-Husband, it’s totally gripping!

Is there a second book? I feel like the story could produce a sequel! Rigghhht?
