I could not stop reading this! Perfect for fans of Drag Me to Hell. The writing was so visceral and the characters all felt fully formed and not flat, which can be hard when there’s such a large cast.

Thank you Netgalley and Underlined for this eARC, these opinions are my own. This book really got me and I almost didn’t put it down, only did because it was late and I had to work the next day! Devon boards a flight for a class ski trip. She’d rather be doing anything but as she recently lost her sister in a hit and run and she’s still reeling from that. She is also struggling with what she did to her sister before she died. As she boards she passes an older woman who gives her the creeps. They get airborne and then the older woman stabs one of the flight attendants as they are getting her under control she informs Devon and her classmates that the have until the flight ends to choose someone to sacrifice. As they go, secrets are also revealed. Will Devon and the others be able to choose someone to sacrifice? What secrets will be revealed? Will Devon find out who hit her sister? So the beginning of this book while intriguing was a little slower but after a bit it picks up and I couldn’t put it down! Since most of the main characters were high schoolers you have the typical type of students, the jocks, loners, drunkies, etc. I enjoyed most of the characters, even those ones that were not so great! I did put some of the secrets together before they were revealed but it was still interesting getting to them and also seeing the fall out of them! I liked the idea of a group of people having to decide whether they sacrifice one person or find another way and how they would handle and live with the decision they made! If you like mystery and supernatural books then you’ll enjoy the mixture of the two in Flight 171. This is a great book and absolutley worth the read! Can’t wait to read it again when it comes out!

I loved this book! I read it in one sitting. I’m so glad I was able to be apart of the cover reveal in bookstagram, and now I get to devour this book as much as I want. I have been waiting for a YA thriller like this one and I must say…this DID NOT let me down!! Probably one of the best I have ever read! Thanks to the author for letting me a part of this special journey!
