4 1/2 stars if it was possible. This was a great suspense filled book. This starts out with a bang and doesn’t slow down as Lynda Coulter and her team at the FBI are chasing down bad guys. They travel to multiple locations chasing down their prey. I can’t say too much more because I don’t want it to be a spoiler. Enjoy!
Second in the series, there is a prequel and a first in this series, they can be stand-alone. I have just read this one and will have to go read on Hoopla now. I’m sure there will be at least one more in this series.
I’m about to give up trying to read on my iPad now that I have a real Kindle. But it’s nice and big when it works right. Sigh.
I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley. I am voluntarily leaving my opinion of this e-book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and definitely am looking forward to reading the next in the series. The characters are strong, authentic, and relatable. The story line is engaging and moves quickly, with moments of breath-holding tension and edge-of-the-seat action. I liked the suspense of the international intrigue and the interplay of the various governmental agencies played against the interpersonal relationships of the characters. I read a library copy of the book and was not required to write a review. The opinions are my own.

Synopsis: A global terrorist organization is taking out pipelines around the world, and FBI Agent Lynda Culter is going undercover. Her job is to piece together all of the information, analyze it, and stop them before they strike again. But when her partner is revealed to be Special Forces soldier Bill Sanders, their personal ties from the past threaten to thwart the mission. Personal hurt, romantic feelings, and dangerous operations do not mix well. Will they both be able to think clearly and put the past behind them? Or could forgiveness, love rekindled, and a successful mission be possible?

Analysis: Intelligent government agents and swoon-worthy soldiers? Yes please! I absolutely loved the characters in this book. Lynda and Bill are exes with a touchy past relationship, but the growth they experience as adults brings a whole new level of depth to the story. The suspenseful plot will keep you turning the pages for more! Betrayal, action, and even some cheesy banter keep the story both interesting and fun. Plus the spiritual values and lessons learned make the whole book worthwhile. This one had me going back to my days of Dee Henderson and all those “older” Christian romances novels. If you’re looking for a clean read with traditional values, don’t miss out on this one!

Word of Honor by Hallee Brideman is a romantic suspense novel and is the second in the Love and Honor trilogy. I was hooked during the first chapter and it was a book I read very quickly because I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The main characters of Lynda and Bill were well written and interesting characters and their romance was beautifully written. The suspense and action was great and super fast paced. I can't wait to read the last novel in this series!

This was was amazing. Great characters and a story that really pulls you in. I loved the action and suspense in this book, as well as blooming romance!

Honestly, I loved this book! The characters were great, the action was out of this world, and there were SO many funny parts!! Lynda and Bill made a really great undercover/surveillance team despite their past, and Lynda worked very well with the rest of the A-team to bring about justice.

The only issue this book had was the the words "se*y", and "se*ist", each being used just once. I find them completely unnecessary, and prefer my books without them. I would still buy this book, but just white-out those words before I read it again.

I recieved a complimentary e-book from the publisher and author through Netgalley. A positive review was not required of me, and the thoughts above are my own.

This is the second book in a great trilogy by an author unknown to me before now. I am glad that is corrected because this trilogy is awesome.

This story begins with a nail-biting “please, no” prologue that sets up what we know about Lynda Culter. The story then jumps ahead to where she is meeting her ex-boyfriend Bill and learning they must go undercover together as a married couple. From there on, Bridgeman gives the reader a suspenseful romance well worth the time of reading.

Bridgeman is quickly moving to my “must read” list.

The action instantly pulled me into this one! I loved the Christian faith themes in the story as well. I did feel a couple of things about the story and plot were unlikely or even slightly unbelievable, but overall I really enjoyed this one!

This was a quick and entertaining read with a good level of suspense.
But Special Forces, FBI and CIA working together in Turkey? I guess Erdogan wouldn't like this idea. And calling Turkey the holy place of Islam... I did not like that they did not really finish the job.
The Christian themes are well developed though.

Lynda Culter is a FBI Special Agent. The story opens with heart pounding action as Lynda and her partner/boyfriend, Jack are investigating an ecoterrorist organization in a remote area in Alaska. Quite cleverly, one of the bad guy's causes a small distraction to punch Lynda and take her and her partner captive. Lynda awakens tied to a chair with her partner tied to one behind her. Then, she watches in horror as he is murdered for not saying what their captives wanted.
Several months later, Lynda is given an assignment in the Middle East as she is the only person who can identify those responsible for her partner's murder. Imagine her surprise when she sees her boyfriend, Bill, from college there, also working on the assignment. Well, surprise and extreme hurt. Once he was injured and lost his scholarship, he dumped her in a cruel way that she still hasn't fully recovered from.
She and Bill are to pretend to be married, Muslim, and visiting the mosque during prayer times hoping she would see and identify the terrorists. That's a lot of pretending for a Christian and who had her heart broken by the man she now must pretend to be his wife. Wow!
Lots of action, suspense and some forgiveness and romance.
I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Revell through Netgalley. I was not obligated to write a positive review.

The action started immediately in this book. Lynda sees her partner and boyfriend murdered before her eyes. Just before the trigger is pulled to end her life, help arrives. As she's the only one who can identify the killers, she is sent undercover to identify them. The problem is that she is sent with Bill Sanders. He broke her heart while they attended college. How can she trust him and put her life in his hands.

This is another great mystery by Ms. Bridgeman. There's a lot of twists and turns that pop up that you'll never expect. There's also the personal relationship between Lynda and Bill that is explored and of course resolved. I highly recommend you read this book. I accidently read book 3 before reading this book. I wasn't a problem. But a few things in book 3 were explained in book 2.

I was given this book by Revell Publishing via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

This is an engrossing thriller/mystery story very well done, and just when you might think it’s over, it isn’t. The author did a terrific job with ratcheting up the drama and danger the characters get embroiled in, with plenty of surprises to keep the reader engaged.

The characters, especially the two leads, Linda and Bill, are deftly presented in their professional roles, without being stereotypes. Of course, since this is a romantic suspense novel, there is a lot that has to blend both professionally and personally and that is another element of the storytelling that keeps the reader guessing.

The bits of humor scattered throughout the narrative were always fun as I came to them in the reading, and the repartee between Bill and his team leader, Rick, was especially enjoyable. Their dialogue is so natural and highlights the special bond that people form when doing dangerous work.

Bill’s sense of humor is one of his most endearing qualities, and it was interesting to see how he could quickly switch from the “down-home” country boy – all smiles, charm, and a touch of mischief – to the tough military man who could take down a terrorist group.

It’s always a pleasure for me to come across fresh ways of presenting things in the narrative and I like to highlight them to enjoy later. There’s not room in this review to include all of the sentences I highlighted in Word of Honor, but here’s just one. This comes at a place in the story when the team has spent too much time in hotel rooms, and Linda is considering how much she needs to do some physical exercise. “In the background of her exhaustion, her muscles ached to move.” What a fresh way to say that a character missed her daily run.

Overall, I enjoyed this story and these people very much, and I recommend it to readers who like a good romantic suspense story with a strong Christian element.

In Word of Honor by Hallee Bridgeman, Lynda Culter is an FBI agent working internationally to bring down a terrorist organization. While on assignment in Istanbul, she is forced to work closely with the man that broke her heart back in college. Bill Sanders had a very good reason for breaking off his relationship with Lynda all those years ago, or at least that what he tells himself. Either way, seeing her again is bringing back those old emotions. While Lynda and Bill navigate their resurfaced feelings, they must put everything on hold while they work together to bring down a very dangerous criminal organization.

I knew after the first chapter Word of Honor was going to be a real page turner. It's great when you have story that not only has lovable main characters, but interesting side characters too! I really enjoyed getting to know Lynda and Bill, as well as their teammates. You could see how much both had changed over the years, but never really stopped loving each other. Both were strong characters in their own way, and I loved how their romance slowly came back together. Lynda was both strong and vulnerable. She was more of an investigator and wasn't too comfortable with doing undercover work. However, Bill was able to help her get through it. He was tough, but had a soft side to him when it came to Lynda. He always encouraged her and let her know she was an amazing person. The romance didn't happen right away and took some work, but it came together nicely throughout the story. I really enjoyed how Bridgeman intertwined the military and other federal agencies in this book. It definitely brings a certain feel to the story and it was a lot of fun to read.

I love it when a story surprises me, and I certainly did not expect that plot twist! The romance, action and suspense will definitely keep you wondering what will happen next. Word of Honor is book two in the Love & Honor series, and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more Hallee Bridgeman books! Full of action, romance, and suspense and I can't recommend it enough!

I loved this story!
I didn’t really like Bill very much, while and after i read the first book in this series.
This is his story, and definitely helped me to understand him, and get to appreciate who he is.
Bill is one of those very intense people. Shortly after the story begins, he is thrown into close proximity with his ex-girlfriend from college, Lynda. Because Bill is in the military as a special ops officer, and Lynda is an FBI agent, and the only person who can positively identify certain terrorists, they have to work together to locate and take these men down.
I loved seeing the progression of their relationship. It was quite interesting to read their backstory, and get to know both of these agents better.
This story is accurately classified as romantic suspense. There is alot of action going on. But, the romantic side of it is stronger than in some other books I've read in this same category.
I recommend this story for anyone who loves a good action or mystery novel.
It might be helpful to read the first book in the series prior to reading this one. Although they can both stand alone easily, it all makes more sense when read in the proper order.

Another dangerous mission, another great romance! When agent Linda Coulter’s partner Jack was killed in Alaska by environmental terrorists she is sent to work with the team. When she arrives she gets along with everyone but while eating dinner the first night she is shocked to learn her college boyfriend is on the team. William Sanders was on the scholarship in college and fell in love with Linda when he lost his scholarship and left school he never told her goodbye. So needless to say she isn’t excited about seeing him again but after an intimate talk they try to put the past behind them and move forward with the mission. They are sent to Turkey because someone from the green army has been sending communications using a mosque’s Wi-Fi. Bill and Linda pretend to be husband and wife and a 10 the mosque is tourist. I don’t want to say too much more but anyone who reads Holly Bridgeman‘s books knows it’s going to be a happy ending but before it ends there’s danger and life-threatening situation. I love Holly Bridgeman‘s books and even though you know it’s going to end happily the drama, trials and tribulations they have to go through first it’s hard pounding and makes the ending so much sweeter. I love the camaraderie the team has I love their love and devotion to God and how much a part of the characters life the religion is because a lot of books claim to be Christian but they only mention God as an after note but that’s never the case with Holly‘s books she is such a great author and one I love to read. I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher but I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

I enjoyed this story of second chances, as well as the chance to look at what it might be like to have to go undercover as a woman in a middle eastern country. That was quite insightful. Loved the surprises in this story!

Word of Honor by Hallee Bridgeman brings a jolt of adrenalin and adventure to the reader as they follow FBI Special Agent Lynda Culter from frigid Alaska to the dessert lands of Istanbul and Kuwait tracking down terrorists and deeply entangled webs of terrorism and organized crime. If you are looking for intriguing plots full of action, adventure, faith, and surprise, then look no further than Ms. Bridgeman's entire Love and Honor series. Although Word of Honor is the second of Ms. Bridgeman's series, it could be read as a stand alone. I truly enjoyed this complex tale of the fight for justice against enemies foreign and domestic, as well as undercover operations, espionage, betrayal, and overcoming the scars of the past. I highly recommend Word of Honor and hope that you have the chance to enjoy it as much as I have.

FBI Special Agent Lynda Culter has not had it easy in her life, most recently living through the trauma of being captured by an ecoterrorist organization and watching her partner murdered right in front of her. While Lynda is determined to bring her partner's killer to justice, she meets roadblocks and difficulty in tracking down those responsible even though she is the only eye witness. When Lynda is suddenly read into a joint operation in Istanbul to bring down that same criminal group, she is thrilled. Part of Lynda's assignment requires her to go undercover in Muslim country with a fake husband. Imagine Lynda's shock when her "husband" is Bill Sanders, a man who already broke her heart. Bill Sanders is now a US Army weapons specialist and an extraordinarily skilled specialist, but that does nothing to stop the tension between Bill and Lynda. Can the two dedicated professionals overcome their past and learn to work together and even trust each other enough to bring to justice this conniving terrorist group? Can Bill and Lynda and their teams stop those responsible for the deadly bombings, attempts at unrest, and threats to destabilize the world and major industries? Read Word of Honor to discover for yourself!

One thing I appreciate about Ms. Bridgeman's writings is how she develops characters. From the first book in her Love and Honor series, Ms. Bridgeman introduced Bill Sanders as the best friend of main character Rick Norton. During the first book Honor Bound I honestly was not a fan of Bill because of his negative comments and attitude towards Rick, but I appreciated the change in perspective Ms. Bridgeman gave from the first book to Word of Honor. I enjoyed learning about Bill's background, as it gave insight into his attitude and outwardly tough and callous demeanor. I appreciated the different aspect of work of the special forces team, as they worked undercover and used surveillance and tact as opposed from the more aggressive and up front missions. I also enjoyed the depth of conversations and issues that Ms. Bridgeman brought to the reader with her main characters. I appreciated how Bill and Lynda had to work together and learn how to overcome their bitterness, pride, distrust, an individual struggles. I also enjoyed how Ms. Bridgeman tied in other characters from the previous books in the series, giving the reader a sneak peek into the lives of some of their favorite character from the previous books. I enjoyed the action, adventure, heart-warming friendships, romance, and character- and faith-building situations that Word of Honor brought to the reader. This was an excellent book and I highly recommend it. Happy readings!

I'm broken hearted... This series did not turn out at all like I hoped.

I did not finish either the first book, Honor Bound, or the second book, Word of Honor... There are just too many inconsistencies, a lack of depth to the characters, slow pacing, repetitiveness, and I just did not find the books worth finishing when I could not get past the first 30% of either book. I’m highly disappointed as I had great hopes for this series… I am not likely to read this author’s work again.

I voluntarily received and reviewed a complimentary ebook or physical copy of this book which I received from the author and/or publisher or blog tour coordinator All views expressed are only my honest opinion and are in no way influenced by others' views or wishes.

I so very much enjoyed the first in this series, Love and Honor, and this second offering did not disappoint. This story picks up right after Honor Bound, focusing mainly on Bill Sanders, one of our wounded soldiers from the first book. He is all better now and needs to go on a mission he was not expecting. Especially a mission where he has to pose as a husband for his college sweetheart whom he has not seen for ten years. Things did not end well between them.

Lynda Culter is a special FBI agent who has seen three of the global terrorists that have become very important to the world to apprehend. She was held hostage by them in Alaska and they killed her partner/ boyfriend, Jack, in front of her. Now months later a pattern is emerging that the FBI can finally see. Due to unforeseen circumstances, she is partnered up with the man who shattered her heart and messed with her self-worth years ago, Bill.

The special ops team is back for another dangerous mission along with all of their fun nicknames for one another. Though everyone knows this is a very serious threat to all. Lynda and Bill have some major issues to get over if this mission is to be a success and not get themselves killed. Their undercurrent of anger was felt by all.

Besides the mission, the past comes back, and it needs to be reckoned with. Both Bill and Lynda need to forgive one another, and Bill needs to set right some family issues. This was a very edge of your seat read but also showed their humanity beyond the mission and the need to forgive and let go and learning their self-worth.

This book, like the first, really took me along with the team and their travels and made me feel like I was right there with them. This is a series that gets under your skin and very hard to put down. Many surprises, twists, and turns included.

I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. I was not required to post a positive review and all views and opinions are my own.
