I loved this book! This book caught my attention from the first page onto the last. The characters were well developed and I really liked the main characters, Bill and Lynda. This book had a huge twist that I never saw coming! This is the second book in the series, but you don't have to read the first one to understand what's going on in this one. I can't wait to read the third book in the series! I highly recommend this book and all of Hallee Bridgeman's books.

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine.

Word of Honor by Hallee Bridgeman was a fast-paced read, and it kept me guessing! I loved the surprises and the balance between action and story was just perfect. The romance felt a bit too quick (maybe not enough time to work through their issues), but I liked the depth of the characters. The setting was fascinating, and I loved the inside peak into the military world. I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes the page-turning suspense.

Absolutely loved this book! There have been attacks on oil pipelines by an eco-terrorist group and Agent Lynda of the FBI is the only one who as seen some of the members. Bill Sander's army ranger team is deployed to help track them down.
I loved the faith elements in this book. Multiple times people offer to pray for each other, offer biblical advice and read scripture where appropriate. The suspense was great and there were some twists I didn't see coming.

Wow! Better strap yourself in before you open this book, because author Hallee Bridgeman is about to take you on the ride of a lifetime!

We live in a world that is becoming increasingly and aggressively self-centered. Everyone has rights, and holds beliefs that they are willing to die for . . . or kill for. Which is why we need people like FBI Agent Lynda Culter and Army Weapons Specialist Sergeant Bill Sanders (you can call him Drumstick, he won’t mind!) on your side.

Green War, an extremist ecoterrorist group with a history of blowing up oil pipelines around the globe, has finally been run to ground by Agent Culter and her partner (and serious love interest!) Jack Haynes. While serving a warrant on the group in Anchorage, Alaska, the situation suddenly and tragically escalates, and Jack is shot and killed, and then set on fire, while Agent Culter is forced to look on helplessly. Backup arrives in time to rescue Agent Culter, but there are some things one never recovers from.

Months later, Sergeant Bill Sanders and the rest of the Alpha Team he serves with receive orders to Turkey, where they coordinate with other international agencies . . . including the FBI and Agent Culter. However, this isn’t the first time the Sergeant and the Agent have met.

In fact, the last time they met, Bill had shattered Lynda’s heart, and annihilated her world. As Bill and Lynda will soon discover, the Lord works in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform.

Thrown together as “newlyweds” for the sake of the operation, it doesn’t take long for the old flame to start flickering again, and it soon flashes into a consuming fire that neither one feels led to extinguish.

Spanning the globe in search of the mastermind behind Green War’s vendetta, the closer they get to their final destination, the more certain it becomes that Bill and Lynda were meant to be together.

Full of twists, turns, and surprises, Word of Honor will keep you up nights turning the pages as you travel with the best of the best, doing what they do best.

Unapologetically Christian in her writing style, Hallee Bridgeman openly and honestly reveals the character and nature of a God who truly cares about His warriors, both in and out of the battle.

Word of Honor has a couple of treats at the end of the book: several Middle Eastern recipes inspired by the book are included, as well as a discussion guide which is perfect for individual use, or for small-groups.

I received this book free of charge in exchange for my open and honest review.

An amazing story that gripped me from the start. Such a real life reminder of God's love for all and how he uses all things in our lives for his purposes.

This is an interesting look into the different departments of government that deal with terrorism. The action was constant and the intrigue kept you reading. The characters were likeable and easy to relate to.. Some of the same characters that were in Honor Bound are here. But this could be a stand alone novel. It is just easier to understand the characters and where they are coming from if you've read the first book. The style of this author is to start out with a shocking scene. Get past that and you'll find a well-thought out story.

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC for an honest review.

It's not often you can read new releases so close together. So I was excited to discover what would happen next in Hallee Bridgeman's continuing Love & Honor series.

As before, Bridgeman grabs hold of the reader from the get-go and doesn't leave much time for air. While we meet all the same characters from the first book, this time, the spotlight is on Bill (Drumstick) Sanders, and we learn more about his backstory. Bill's hard stance on not being distracted by a woman is tested when he has to work with his former college sweetheart, FBI Agent Lynda Culter.

I was amazed at how the author's mind worked. She is a master at describing technical, strategic and planning details for missions that feel incredibly real and plausible. And she does all this while weaving a romance and faith element into the storyline.

If you haven't read the first book, you shouldn't be too lost with this one. But, do yourself a favour and read it anyway. I highly recommend this series!

This book has plenty of twists to keep your attention until the end. It’s the perfect mix of action and romance. The best part is that it’s Christian fiction. It’s a clean read that is free of all the strong language.
The story follows Lynda, who lost her partner when attempting to serve a warrant. Now she’s mixed up in an operation to take down the eco terrorist group responsible. Unfortunately, to go undercover she must be paired with an old college sweetheart. Bill, the man who broke her heart. She feels the need to bring justice for her partner, but can she forgive Bill long enough to get it?
Bridgeman spends a good amount of time making sure the characters in this book are unique and stay true to the personality she has set for them. You get a sense of “knowing” the characters, even when they do surprise you. And they will surprise you.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a good action-packed romance.

What a suspenseful and thrilling Christian book by Hallee Bridgeman. This is the second book in a series by this author.

I think it could be read alone but there are characters from the first book Honor Bound that are in this book. It was about a group of Army special forces the is having to go into Instanbul. Lynda Cutler is a FBI specialtist that was captured by a eco-terrorist and watched as her partner was killed in front of her. She is the only person who knows what the terrorist looks like. The characters are well written and also the storyline. I was pulled into the book from the very beginning and couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read some additional book by Hallee Bridgeman.

I will recommend this to other's

I rate this a five out of a five stars

Not a bad follow up.

This is the second book of the Honor Bound series. This book follows Bill "Drumstick" Sanders and his college sweetheart. The romance is light…in my opinion and there wasn’t as much action as the first book.

I received a copy from Netgalley and all opinions are my own.

4.5 stars
This is book two in the Love and Honor Series, (there is also a prequel), however it is a stand alone book, you will miss history of the the Army special forces team, but you will not have any trouble following along.. Hallee Bridgeman does a great job at developing her characters and her story line. I love how we get both perspectives of this story, the male and female side.
Bill Sanders has a lot of baggage to work through, he is not expecting his past to come face to face with him on a mission. FBI Special Agent Lynda Cutler is not a field agent, however when she is forced to become one, since she alone can identify some of the key players, she is not prepared to have to work with the one man who broke her heart.
There are many twist and turns in this book, and Bill and Lynda have to work though many issues. There is drama, suspense, friendship and of course romance in this book. If you enjoy books about special forces/FBI type books you will love this one.
I was given a copy of this book for. my honest opinion.

Word of Honor by Hallee Bridgeman was another fabulous read. It has compelling characters and a story that draws you in from the first chapter. Hallee is now one of my go – to authors. She writes some of the absolute best military romantic suspense. I lose myself in her stories.

We met Bill (Drumstick) Sanders in book one with Rick (Daddy). In this story he is working with his college sweetheart, Lydia Cutler who is now an FBI special agent. She is the only witness to three terrorists who are blowing up oil pipelines. The book is full of action and twists and turns to keep you turning the pages at break neck speeds.

I highly recommend this series. Hallee writes military stories with so many authentic details that I adore these books. And will reread them. I also enjoy how the characters talk through being in a relationship when they are active duty and the challenges that brings. I was thrilled that Rick and the team played a significant part in this book too.

Sexual content - kissing
Violence - nothing that disturbed me, they are held hostage and threatened with torture

The second in the Love and Honor series is filled with intrigue and suspense that will hold readers' attention throughout. FBI Special Agent Lydia Cutler and US Army Specialist Bill Sanders with their teams race to connect the dots that link two terrorist groups blowing up oil pipe lines. The twists and turns will keep readers engaged in this realistic situation. Likeable characters along with a strong message of faith makes this a novel not to be missed. Looking forward to the next in the series. Recommended!

'War did not walk onto a battlefield in uniform in a way that allowed him to pick them out as bad guys.'

My second book by this author and I loved it so much. These soldiers here are true heroes and I so very much enjoyed how they operated as a team. Also, add in a female protagonist FBI agent and learning more how they themselves operate made for a wonderful read for my suspense loving self. Bridgeman also writes a very God honoring story and I appreciated the spiritual thread so much. One point in particular I loved very much. Well done!

My thanks to Revell Publishing for a copy of this book via Net Galley. The opinion here is my own.

I am really liking this series by Hallee Bridgeman. This is the second book and is centered on Bill "Drumstick" Sanders. Bill's childhood was anything but great. Thanks to his grandmother he did have a positive role model and someone he could turn to in times of need. The Army is really what saved his life and came to be the family he really didn't have growing up.
Lynda Culter is an FBI intelligence officer and really good at her job. When a threat becomes a major threat to other organizations are called in to help.
Bill and Lynda were college sweethearts but because of Bill's background and an injury he sustained during football he broke up the relationship in a pretty harsh way. When they meet up again ten years later while their organizations try to uncover and contain a major threat it brings extra tension to the situation.
This is a thrill ride from beginning to end. I enjoyed the characters, plot, action and romance in this book.

I received an arc from NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

Lynda works for the FBI and her and her partner Jack, whom she is also romantically involved , go to serve a warrant but it doesn’t go as planned. They are Captured by a terrorist group and threatened.

Lynda gets away and she is bound and determined to put this group away. The FBI gets a lead and Lynda is sent on a mission to find the head guy of the group.

When Lynda arrives for her briefing little did she know she would see her college sweetheart Bill on the Special forces team that will be working with them to capture the terrorists.

Lots of twists and turns and battles her and Bill will have to face along the way. Great read!

I inhaled this novel. While I enjoyed the first book, this one was a more traditional romantic suspense with the action intense for the first 85% of the book. Filled with international intrigue, an alphabet soup of US agencies, and characters I enjoyed in the first book, this one is a race from beginning to end and highly enjoyable read.

I loved loved loved Hallee Bridgeman's Word of Honor. It was a great addition to her Love and Honor series. I can not wait to read book three. Honor's Refuge. Five stars.

Unbelievable. I thoroughly enjoyed how this story took us from the Alaskan wilds deep into a country where Islam reigns and Special Agent Lynda must go beyond the call of duty to fulfill her job. This has all the feels of a great romantic suspense: exotic and interesting locations, agents with unique missions, Lynda's former heartbreak having to pose as her husband so the op will appear legit...fun, sweet, with a generous dash of don't-put-it-down tension as the balance between saving innocent lives and saving one's true love becomes the final test. If you enjoy Natalie Walters or Elizabeth Goddard you should try Hallee Bridgeman.
