Far too many leaders in an organization get tunnel vision and lack the humility and/or capacity to see their organization both from the outside in and from the bottom up. Leading with emotional intelligence begins the hard work leaders need in order to truly surpass the way their tunnel vision limits the organization and maximizes its true potential. The is simple not easy work to be done. Employee disengagement begins within the first 3-5 months of working in a company, which is also an educated guess as to how long it takes leaders to be blinded within their own echo chamber unless they do something about it. Highly recommend the book 4*. Thanks to NetGalley I received an audiobook version as well, which I do not recommend 2*.

Kevin Mann's "Leading with Emotional Intelligence" is a concise and insightful guide to harnessing the power of emotional intelligence in leadership. Mann's practical approach and real-world examples make this book a valuable resource for anyone looking to enhance their leadership skills.

This book was very insightful!! I have read many books & articles on emotional intelligence. This book is by far my favorite. There's lot of great information here. This book is a must for anyone in a leadership role or an aspiring leader!!

Extremely basic entry-level view of emotional intelligence. 10% in, still introducing concepts. Would be good for someone entirely unfamiliar who needs the basics first.
Thanks to NetGalley and Kevin Mann for the ARC.

Kevin Mann’s “Leading with Emotional Intelligence : In the Age of Automation, Robotics & AI" had a very slow beginning. I greatly enjoy reading books on leadership, but I found this book difficult to engage with during the first few chapters. As the book progressed, I found that it was more interesting to me and I especially enjoyed the neurobiology parts of it.

A lot of this information is common sense material.
Being authentic, reframing what you can in a positive way, recognizing work isn't about you personally etc.
I wish there was more of a focus on what employees need in terms of work life balance. It's something I try to promote as a supervisor but it's often overlooked in leadership guides.

when we are studying bussiness is common to study all the theory and strategies that we could use to improve the company and its negotiations but what we have taken aside is the human factor. Human race is complex and neglecting this matter it could raise a number of problems, thats when emotional intelligence plays a mayor role to see what your stakeholders needs and take actions.
This book show us a different path of the traditional way of doing bussiness, the world is changing we must change as well: empathy is our first baby step; if you wanna know how to apply this important matter i highly recommend "Leading with emotional intelligence", it guides you to transform yourselft to be a better leader and transform your enviroment to help others finding their potential to reach your goals.

In this age of AI, it is even more important to have emotional intelligence. This book gives valuable insight into emotional intelligence in the workplace (at all levels). I highly recommend it!

Great read on leading with emotional intelligence. The author gives practical tips and stories to illustrate his points. I also really appreciated that early on, he lines out which of the chapters talk on what topic and advises the reader to skip around to the parts that are most vital to the reader first instead of just reading straight trough. I think more authors should do this in business/nonfiction books.
It’s been a long time since I read a business book and I had forgotten just how dry they can be. But this one was so informative that it combatted the dryness well.
