I finished Turning Tables within twenty-four hours because I had to know what was going to happen to Maita. I love the way that Alice Takawira created a story that contained so many twists and turns that caused enough drama to frustrate me at times. This story read like a Lifetime movie. One that you know is going to be crazy good by the end of the first chapter.

The story is about a love triangle that is full of love, lost and regret. I found that the characters are easily liked and equally disliked as the story unfold. The story includes social issues such as interracial relationships, cultural differences, racism, and the different ways we respond to those issues. Realizing that sometimes we do not know the value of something until we lose it.

Overall, I enjoyed the story. I recommend this book to fans that love romance stories. If you love twist, turns and drama this a good quick and easy read.

Thank you NetGalley and Alice Takawira for providing me an electronic copy of this book. The opinions expressed are my own and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is my first book by Alice Takawira and I am certain this is her debut novel. which she did so well.

If Maita's story doesn't engulf you then I don't know what will. Turning tables is a love story about two lovers ' meant for each other'' and the one chance meeting that occurs on a flight. The author did a wonderful job of bringing out the resilience of the human spirit and how love changes a person.

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher and all opinions expressed are entirely my own.
