I've read the other books in the Blue Moon Bay series & had looked forward to reading Whitney's story. It is not necessary to read the other books in the series as they each standalone. The story is split between current time & the past & it works really well in this book. I enjoyed getting the past history of Whitney & Trent while they are struggling in the present. The story was emotional & very heartwarming. I received an advance copy from NetGalley & am voluntarily leaving a review.

Whitney Carlisle is engaged to a wonderful man but she is afraid she is only going to break his heart. Whitney is keeping a secret from her fiancé Trent and has no idea what to do. If she tells him, their future may be destroyed, if she keeps the secret, he may find out and end their relationship anyways. Whitney can not even find the courage to tell her friends, so she is alone in making her decision. Trent is pushing for Whitney to plan the wedding, but in her heart, she just can not do it. When Trent and her friends start piecing clues together, Whitney is forced against a wall. Will she risk it all and finally tell Trent or will she lose the one man she has always loved?

This novel by Jennifer Snow is not your typical romance. The story begins with the couple already engaged, so this is not your boy meets girl and then they fall in love story. This is a book about one woman’s struggle to tell the truth and risk it all. My heart went out to Whitney’s and Trent’s characters throughout the book as the pieces start to unravel. I loved the book and was also happy to get to visit the recurring characters from the previous books in the Blue Moon Bay series. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for the advanced readers copy which I voluntarily read and reviewed. If you are looking for a heartwarming, small town series friends, add this one to your lists.

Trent and Whitney have been together for seven years, engaged for the last three. Trent is ready to move to the next stage of their relationship, to get started on the plans they have made, but he can feel Whitney holding back. He can tell something is wrong, something that is weighing on Whitney. Until she’s willing to share Trent vows to be there for her, no matter what.

Whitney wants everyone to think she has everything under control. She’s exhausted trying to juggle the demands of her job and her worry for her ailing mother. More than that, though, she’s keeping a huge secret not only from her friends, but from the person who matters most to her. Used to being independent, she's supposed to be the one everyone else relies on, Whitney doesn’t know how to open up and ask for help. How does she tell the love of her life she may not be able to have the future they planned?

I had a hard time warming up to Whitney. She was so determined to do everything on her own, her attitude became annoying. I felt like her lack of trust was an insult to both Trent and the relationship they shared. That being said, the last third of the book is incredibly powerful. Without any warning the story reached out and hauled me in, making the frustration I felt in the early chapters of the book fade. From unexpected revelations to heart wrenching emotions, this is an emotional story of the power of love.

This one really didn’t hit me like I had hoped.

I really didn’t like that the heroine held back so many issues and feelings for so long and I didn’t understand why she didn’t just talk about it especially with the hero who I really liked. He would do anything to help her and be there for her but he was kept in ignorance for the most of the book and I didn’t like that.

Too much miscommunication and to many lies but a sweet hero and an ok ending gives two stars unfortunately.

I got this book from Entangled publishing and Netgalley and this is my honest opinion and my voluntary review.

This is a story of Whitney and Trent. The author tells their story from then and now perspective. Whitney is the public relations manager for Blue Moon Bay. Her job is all about stress and working long hours. Added to that is that her mom is now in an assisted living facility struggling with Alzheimer's disease. Trent is the cousin of one of Whitney's best friends. He is the owner of Trent's Tavern and expanding. Dating and now engaged after seven years, they've hit a speed bump. She's keeping a secret that will affect their lives. How to tell Trent and her friends? Life decides to take control. Having best friends is great but having the love of your life even better. How do you make things right? Trust family and friends to lead the way.

Wonderful ending!

A Lot Like Forever is the third book in Jennifer Snow’s Blue Moon Bay series. It is certainly the most dramatic of the series, with plenty of angst too. Trent and Whitney have been dating for seven years but since Whitney’s car accident a year ago things have been strained. Honestly, Whitney should have trusted Trent enough to share with him. That is just the beginning of their problems.

Both of these characters were so likable that I was pulling for them to work through everything to find the HEA that they should have together. Before that can happen other issues come to light. In Trent’s defense he did not have any idea about these secrets. They had been kept from him too.

What can you say? These two should talk, really talk to each other, Whitney especially took being independent to a whole new unbelievable level. Good romance is great but communication keeps it great. A lesson to be learned in a sweet romance with a swoon worthy hero..

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher through NetGalley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I struggled with Whitney and Trent's story. She and her friends are so close I can't believe them or Trent recommending she gets checked out by a doctor for her symptoms. I found myself skimming the chapters as it was the same situations over and over again.

Additionally, I am not a fan of present and future alternating in the chapters. I'd rather the story be written historically as the events happened.

The ending was good and wrapped things up but it happened so quickly which was totally in opposition to the storyline.

I received an ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher. I'm voluntarily submitting this review.

Each book in the Blue Moon Bay series is a stand alone but this one wraps up the three friends' stories nicely. This particular book focuses on Whitney & Trent. We go back & forth between the beginning of their relationship to the current time seven years later. They are engaged but Whitney refuses to set a date. She's hiding that her health is failing & Trent has some things going on as well. Read this story to see if they work through it & what has happened with Sarah & Jess.

Thanks to NetGalley & the publisher for advanced copy in exchange for my honest review

Trent and Whitney seem to have found the perfect match in each other. But when Whitney’s health declines and she keeps it a secret from everyone, things quickly go downhill in her personal life as well. Trent is very supportive, completely enamored with Whitney and wants to get married and start a family. Whitney seems to have everything she could possibly need in Trent, but she is completely irrational in her way of thinking, pushes everyone away and prioritizes work over literally everything. I really couldn’t stand Whitney, she drove me crazy! Communication is key in every relationship but this woman lacked it on all fronts. I was team Trent all the way!!!

Heartwarming, angsty but passionate romance with secrets
Dramatic opening to this book sets the stage for more drama. With the use of flashbacks, we have the opportunity to see how Whitney and Trent got to the point of the story where they are 30yo and 38yo respectively and still unmarried after being engaged for a very long time. While their friends are planning their weddings, Whitney is still putting off Trent with a date, a venue, a color scheme, everything! They love each other so why the hold up? Whitney has a very big secret that she is afraid to divulge so she ignores it until it becomes unignorable all the while Trent is so patient and loving.
Having read the other two books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read this one. I loved the characters and was rooting for them. Ms. Snow has a way of making the reader care about her characters. Even when Whitney’s stubbornness, strong will and independent streak makes her hurt Trent, we still feel the sorrow. Well-written and edited, heartwarming romance with revelations and resolutions. I loved it! I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Entangled/NetGalley. If you like passion without lots of steam in your romance, try this book. You’ll enjoy it too. OH! And one spectacular meet-cute. Wink.

How do you tell the man that you love something that you can’t deal with. Whitney has always been a workaholic, but she seems more driven than ever and it’s affecting her health. Ten months ago, Whitney was in a car accident that brought things to light for her. Her fiancé Trent is the perfect man for her, but she no longer feels that she is the perfect woman for him. For Trent. ‘She was the one person he’d needed more than air. The only person he didn’t know how to live without’. I received a free copy of this ebook from the publisher. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. This story really pulled on my emotions. I felt their joys and their heartbreaks. I thought that Whitney's independence and not wanting to lean on even her fiance is very realistic. Trent is one of my favorite book boyfriends. He is so sweet, giving, and loving. Even though their storyline at times was harder to read, I felt compelled to read the rest of their story. This is a story that will stick with m

Loved, Loved, Loved the third in the Blue Moon Bay series. Whitney is such a strong character and I loved her relationship with Trent. It takes us into their lives when they hit one bumpy road after another. It felt so real and relatable. This one was definitely the most sweet, sexy and emotional one of the three books. I did not stop crying the last 60 pages as I went from one emotional rollercoaster to the other. Snow's amazing writing style sucked me straight in and I finished it the same day!

This is a sweet romance story. The story is told in the now and the then from the point of view of the two main characters. Whitney and Trent is a couple that have been dating for several years. The story follows the hills and valleys of their relationship. The plot develops organically with a few surprises. There are great friendships and close knit family relationships. It is a story with a happily ever after that will not disappoint.

I’m a big fan of Jennifer Snow’s books, and I definitely take notice when she has a new book coming out. Although this book wasn’t my favorite out of her books, it was still enjoyable. It was more on the serious, angsty side. I think couples in existing relationships can be tough storylines to tackle. I thought this author did a great job. This book was well written with good conflict. I was interested and rooting for the hero and heroine the entire time I was reading. Huge thanks to Netgalley and Entangled publishing for allowing me to read and review this book!

A Lot Like Forever certainly has all the feels, it’s emotional, it’s angsty and it’s full of love……
Whitney is struggling, working on how to handle her illness while dealing with her friendships and her work load. Trent has been asking her to set a date for their wedding because he wants to take their seven year relationship one step further but as she makes excuse he starts to feel like this is a one side relationship and he doesn’t know what to do to make it right…..
So what does the future hold for Whitney and Trent, one click to find out.
I love small town romances so this book was always going to be on my radar, it’s an emerald with wonderful characters, it’s well written and fast paced and I can’t wait to see where we are taken next by Ms Snow.

I was so looking forward to reading A Lot Like Forever. I've been really enjoying this series and the characters within it. I love the friendship between the three heroines in this series. Time and distance haven't had any effect on their friendship. Even when they weren't all living in the same town they stayed friends.

It's one of the reasons I have been liking this series. Really enjoyed books one and two and I don't know what happened with Whitney's story. For me, it went off the rails of a romance. It's more women's fiction with touches of romance. I understand the author needs to write the story as she sees it in her head but I kinda wish I had a warning.

First off this story starts with Whitney and Trent already being in a relationship. They've been together for a very long time yet aren't married yet. For me, Trent is very loving and likable in the story but Whitney comes off as closed off. She has a secret that she's keeping from everyone. Once you find out what it is you have to wonder why she didn't talk to Trent about it. Her reasonings sounded silly to me. Now I know that people often shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to being afraid to deal with life change things so I did give her somewhat of a break.

Most of the story happens in the present and past. You flip so much between the two time periods that there is no real focus on their romance. In fact, I didn't even feel anything coming from her, just Trent. Because of how much I liked Trent I kept going with the story. Now don't get me wrong I like Whitney too I just didn't care for any of her choices.

Even the ending felt like Trent doing everything he could for Whitney and her just taking it. Now I know it sounds like I totally hated this story but I didn't there is stuff in here that I enjoyed. I just felt that this story is more about Whitney and what's going on in her life and Trent is a side note. And what does happen in his life is like a cliche. Not totally enjoying this story won't stop me from reading other books by this author. I think this is the story she had to tell and unfortunately, it didn't totally work for me.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I have not read the first two books but I really enjoyed this one. This is a well written romance with an HEA. I think I will read the first two books now.

I have been a fan of the author for some time and have enjoyed this series so I was glad to escape back into this Hallmark-esqe Blue Moon Bay.
Whitney and Trent have been together for seven years now. And he is ready to take their relationship to the next step and get married. Whitney says she is, but she is so busy at work that she doesn’t do any wedding planning at all which frustrates Trent because he thinks she’s just stalling, but the truth is Whitney is hiding a secret illness from him and she’s afraid that once he finds out he won’t want to marry her anymore. But the stress of her job and keeping the secret is aggravating the illness so she’s not going to be able hide it much longer. On top of that, her mother is in a care home and Whitney is struggling with paying for it and making enough time to spend with her. She’s juggling too many balls and it’s all about to come crashing down. Trent is the sweetest, most caring guy you could ever ask for and when Whitney forgets his birthday he doesn’t even flinch! That would be a tough one for me! He hires a single mom to work in his bar and he becomes a mentor to her boys. There’s a lot going on, and a lot of drama. Much more than the other books in the series. And you have to keep up with the “then” and “now” chapters or you’ll mix up what’s happening. But once again, it was a case of communication and being a grown up and facing things-if you can’t talk to someone you’ve been with for seven years, then that’s not someone you should be with. You won’t get your HEA if you don’t. But im always a sucker for small town romance.
Thanks to the publishers and NetGalley for this eArc in exchange for my review.

A Lot Like Forever is the third book in the Blue Moon Bay trilogy by Jennifer Snow. This is a drama-ridden, angst-filled romance story. The plot includes elements of a lack of communication and omitting information to “save” someone else. Readers tend to have strong feelings, one way or another about these tropes, so be forewarned. These issues aside, A Lot Like Forever covers some heavier topics and has a sweet, enduring romance.

Whitney, the main female character, is adopted and likes to control her circumstances as much as possible. This poses a problem with her longtime engagement to her fiancé Trent, since she keeps procrastinating the plans due to uncertainty from her past and a potential inherited disease in her future. Her lack of control spirals into fear of losing her high pressure marketing job, her fiancé, and her forecasted future. Her fear plays out as indecision and secrecy, neither of which are good for a relationship.

This story is a quick read and will be a hit for those who enjoy small town, tension-building romances. It features close-knit friendships, the example of persevering through hardships and a potential happily ever after, though an epilogue would have been an appreciated addition. This story is a bit different from the previous two books in the series, but one many will still enjoy, nonetheless.
