Thank you Net Galley for an audio ARC of The Attraction Distraction by Jenn McKinlay. I enjoyed this second chance romance novella. At times it wasn't believable, but it was cute and fun.

One of my toxic reading traits is that I will request literally any audiobook on NetGalley that looks even kind of good. Worked out for me this time! This was really cute. The narrator was good. Honestly a lot more happened than I expected out of a 3-4 hour novella. It’s a good blend of plot line and romance. Closed door romance. Release date is 6/7, definitely worth a quick listen if you’re in the mood for a quick light story. Thanks Dreamscape & NetGalley for the advance copy of the audiobook!

A fun novella audiobook, great for those shorter drives or longer walks. Finished in a day just had to find out how the characters got their HEA. Sarah has been given a chance of a lifetime, to look for a artifact on a deserted island in the Aegean Sea. The only draw back is that nine other scholars have also been invited, along with her ex-boyfriend Liam. Trying to ignore the handsome man was near impossible, and then he goes saves her life. A typical rom-com, a bit far fetch but enjoyable.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC. I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advance Reader Copy of this story. #NetGalley #TheAttractionDistraction #DreamscapeMedia

This was a cute fun short listen. I can definitely see it helping get you out of a reading slump, or even good for a shorter road trip or airplane ride!

I haven’t read any of Jenn McKinlay’s mystery novels before this one, but they definitely remind me of a Hallmark mystery movie! This one was a second chance romance and included searching for an artifact on an island in Greece.

If you love short little mysteries with some romance thrown in too, this one is for you!

*Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this audio ARC in exchange for an honest review. Pub date: June 7, 2022

This novella was the perfect listen for a gloomy, chore-filled morning. Clocking in under 4 hours, you can easily go along on the full journey in one sitting. This is the second in a series but works as a standalone, and while listed as a romance, there’s also a great sense of adventure and a bit of history in this as well!

I love books set in different countries, especially Greece, it holds a special place in my heart. Sarah and Liam are off on a literary adventure to find some special artifacts, but it's too bad that Sarah can't stand Liam after leaving her without word 7 years ago. He was her one and only and thought she was the same for him, but it's clear that he had other ideas when she won the job that they both were competing for.
Well, she won't let him get to her now. While they are viing for the same artifacts, people are getting hurt and it's quite possible the only way they will survive this voyage will be if they work together. Liam isn't letting Sarah out of his sight, he has a lot to atone for and wants to make things right and explain what happened all those years ago.
I knew tha there had to be more than Sarah's perception of what happened and I am so happy that they were able to work through their issues. I loved him, he never gave up on them. This was a fun adventure and I loved the banter between these two.
Thank you to Dreamscape, Jenn McKinlay and Netgalley for an early audio review copy.
