I had high expectations for this books since I have read and enjoyed previous books by Anne Frasier.
While I didn’t dislike this one I didn’t love it either.
I do always enjoy a good murder mystery and this was well written but was just a bit confusing at times.

I was drawn into the story from the very beginning. I totally understood the character and her fear but desire to find out the truth. A truth I didn't guess until a lot of the clues were made apparent. I will definitely look for other books by this author.

This was a great read. I love mystery and who done its! I've recommended this book to several friends! This is a must-read!

The writing is not bad, in my opinion. Rather dragged for me at the beginning but improved a lot in the second half (I was even quite engrossed in the story.) I tend to demand a lot from murder mysteries as they can all tend to feel and sound the same after a while.

Found Object is page turning thriller/mystery where the past is never out of play. Undercover investigative journalist Jupiter Bellarose is reeling after her last report ended with the suicide of her boyfriend. Struggling mentally, Jupiter's boss suggests that she goes home to write an easy piece on the beauty empire in her hometown of Savannah. But her mother, Marie Nova was the face of the beauty company and the fluff piece brings Marie's murder crashing back for Jupiter. Now Jupiter is writing two pieces as she tries to solve her mother's murder under the guise of covering the cosmetic empire. The thing I like most about Anne Frasier's books is that the characters are always flawed. They have had trauma and are nowhere near perfect. It makes the story much more interesting. This one was a little slow to start, but by the end I couldn't put the book down. The twists kept coming and I never knew what to believe.

I loved it........I hated it.........I'm not so sure.

Found Object is guaranteed to tie you up in knots. Anne Frasier introduces us to Jupiter Bellarose who is being released from a mental health facility in a Minneapolis hospital. Jupiter's voice echoes throughout this novel. She's confused and on the down-swing on prescription drugs. Depression rides shotgun with her at all times. And what grabbed me at first with this character were no truer words ever spoken: "I often wanted to kick my own ass."

Jupiter is an investigative journalist who went undercover recently to out a highly attractive art forger. Said art forger stole Jupiter's heart along with the good names of famous artists. From Minneapolis Jupiter is headed to Savannah, Georgia to cover a story on a renowned cosmetics empire. Her mother, Marie, a famous actress, was the face of Luminescent for many years. Jupiter will interview the Lumet family who have faced many tragedies during the years.

Tragedy is something that Jupiter can readily relate to. Her mother was murdered when Jupiter was sixteen. She and her father found Marie's brutalized body in the backyard. And the horror of it has never left her. To return to Savannah will be an unsettling experience for the already shaken Jupiter. And encountering her father, Max, will also stir up horrendous memories. Did Max have something to do with Marie's death?

Seriously speaking, Found Object found me so willing in the beginning chapters. I was locked in for the ride. Jupiter felt so real and so vulnerable. And as the story unfolded, I felt myself midway being distanced because of the cosmetics avenue. It was like Jupiter was forced to strap a fancy saddle on a tired old mule. This mule just slowed to a stumble. Jupiter couldn't breathe without being in danger again and again and again.

The perk came with the characters of Ian Griffin, Savannah police officer, and his young niece, Poppy. Poppy being Poppy: "But I'm not supposed to hold my thoughts in." There was innocence and humor onboard. Found Object was filled with peaks and valleys throughout. I just feel that the main vein of this storyline could have been worked differently. And don't get me started on the ending. But it does appear that Frasier will be eyeing Jupiter for another installment after this. Heaven help me.......you know I'll be reaching for it.

Found object was not what I expected, but I really don’t even know what that was.

Jupiter had a rough childhood with her famous smother being murdered but never really knowing if the right person was put away for it. Her life takes her through some twists and turns and spits her right back out where it all began, her mothers house.

The beginning of this book caught my attention fast. It was interesting and full of rich information. But the ending left me feeling it was all a little unbelievable (which I know, it’s fiction, it’s not supposed to be real).
I feel like things could’ve been tied together a little cleaner but Overall I did enjoy reading this book!

Jupiter is an investigative journalist fresh off her most difficult story. She goes to her hometown to do a light piece on a local business to recuperate. But ends up delving into her mother’s tragic murder twenty years ago. I’m a huge fan of anything Anne Frazier writes and this one did not disappoint. Twists and turns that I didn’t see coming! This book had me hooked from page one to the “you won’t see coming” end!

I really like Frasier's Inland Empire series, so was excited to read Found Object.
Jupiter is a reporter dealing with the repercussions of her last case. Her boss decides to send her to Savannah, her hometown, to write a fluff piece on a beauty product company. Savannah, however, holds many ghosts for Jupiter as it was where her mother, actress Marie Nova, was brutally murdered. I liked Jupiter as a MC and I liked Savannah as the setting.
There were some confusing aspects with the beauty company and her mother's death and I did not like the ending. I thought it could have been more solid.

This author has written a cannot put down mystery novel. It reads like true crime, and also would make a movie or perhaps an episode of "Criminal Minds". The characters are diverse and mysterious. One does not know what they are thinking at all times. The red herrings about in this book. Certain topics could be left "more to the imagination" but those are easily read quickly. The story does move slowly, at times, but it does come to an ending that is somewhat surprising. This book was sent to me by Netgalley for review.

When Jupiter a journalist goes back on vacation to her hometown where her mother the face of a former popular beauty product was murdered things start to escalate when newer evidence comes to light that the real preparator might not be behind bars.
This is my first book from the author although was hard to pick up this book because I was in a reading slump but I was hooked from the second chapter. It had a lot of twists which were quite believable but left me shocked.
I also loved the complexity of the characters and how their hardships were realistically portrayed.

I'll recommend this for the reading experience, which was more or less exactly what I wanted it to be, but warn that the ending is wishy-washy and the MC has a slightly gelatinous quality.

"Found Object" was a mystery that was deftly plotted. It is one of the rare mysteries in my recent readings that has kept me truly guessing who the culprit was! Each time I thought I had it figured out, some twist occurred that had me re-evaluating the crime. Without rehashing the plot, it is safe to say that I recommend this mystery for those of you who like a slow and unpredictable build in your murder mystery!

I don’t think I’ve read any other books by the author in the past and I was intrigued by this story from the moment I’ve seen that cover and read that description.
The story delves into a harder topic that I absolutely loved reading and the main characters hold my attention even more than I expected. The turns it takes made me want to read more and while I had my theories set early into the book, it was surprising to see how it will evolve and unveil in the end.
Interesting and addictive story that many readers will enjoy.

This is my first book by Anne Frasier, with the cover and description of it catching my eye right away. As soon as I began reading the first sentence of the first chapter, I was hooked. The details that the author have truly set the scene of what was happening. As I read the book, there were some moments that had me a bit confused, although the questions I wondered, for the most part, ended up being answered later on. The only big problem that I had with the book was that it occasionally switched from first person (Jupiter’s) point of view to a third person point of view, but through the eyes of Ian. Overall, I found this book intriguing and I finished it the same day I started it and the ending had me with my mouth dropped open. I will certainly be reading more from this author.

The book setting in Savannah was what drew me to this book as that city is one of my favorite places to visit. Also, I have seen this author's books many times in my library so I thought that I would give it a try. A woman returns to Savannah where her mother (a famous tv and movie star and the representative of a cosmetics company) was brutally murdered years before. Twists and turns as to who the murderer was kept me interested to the end that I did not anticipate .A good read which makes me want to go back and read some of this author's previous books.

It took me quiet a while to get into this book but once I got to grips with it I enjoyed it, a satisfying read ..

Such a surprising read that kept me on my toes the entire time. Though admittedly, the things were unclear at first and the constant perspective shifts were difficult to grasp, the book kept me so interested the entire time. The second half of the book was impossible to put down and really kept you invested throughout all the twists and turns.

Personally, I had a few theories about the plot and what the truth was but I definitely did not expect how it truly all went down. The last twist also came as a welcome shock. I liked the characters too, each of them distinct.

Such a good read, really recommended. It was my first Anne Frasier book yet, but it certainly won't be the last!

A novel that begins slowly and smoothly, introducing the characters and then picks up steam in the second half with a light-hearted mystery that could be the beginning of a new Anne Frasier series.
