I really enjoyed this book and its characters and premise! I loved both Bea and Jamie as characters.. It was also great to see a realistic portrayal of anxiety in this book. I really enjoyed this retelling of much ado about nothing. I was also glad to see how they both developed feelings for one another and that they did not have much melodrama making their connection complicated. I really loved reading this book - the writing style, the characters, and the romance were all great!

Absolutely delightful. A fresh interpretation on the Shakespeare classic "Much Ado About Nothing." The author combined enemies to lovers AND fake dating. And I simply swooned by the description alone.

BUT, the book is so delightfully character-driven, Beatrice and Jamie gave each other so much balance and brought out the best in each other. Plus, all the side characters like Juliet and Toni and Sula made the book feel so warm and cozy.

I'm HOPING there will be additional books about the Wilmot sisters. Fingers crossed.

An adorable romance and great representation? Sign me up. Bea Wilmot and Jamie Westenberg don’t have anything in common except a group of acquaintances and a meet-disaster. Then the people closest to them play Cupid and trick them into going on a date. To try to get revenge, Bea and Jamie decide to fake date before having a spectacular breakup. But when it turns out it’s actually pretty easy to pretend to be in love, they start to wonder if maybe two wrongs make a right after all. Chloe Liese has an amazing ability to craft wonderful romantic stories with depth and complexity. This book was no exception. Bea and Jamie all had moments of frustration along with moments where they are so extremely relatable. Although I can’t speak to the authenticity of the neurodivergent representation (Bea has autism and Jamie has anxiety and compulsions), it feels very realistic and in-line with my own experiences. Of course, everyone’s experience is different, but seeing these nuanced representations as one component of a story that’s ultimately really about love and finding partnership makes me so happy. I want more of these kinds of books. Outside of the representation, the rest of this book was also great. Bea and Jamie are adorable and so there for each other in every moment. There’s a lot of open communication and understanding about boundaries and limitations. Despite some difficulties, Bea’s sisters and friend group are also supportive and feel three-dimensional. I don’t know what the plans are, but I really hope we get Juliet and Kate’s stories! Usually when I write a review, I have a clear set of things that didn’t work for me for a particular book. However, I don’t really have anything that I didn’t like and/or appreciate about this story.

There were definitely some tough moments that I might have preferred were not included (read the content warnings letter at the beginning of the book), but I completely understand why they are there and can appreciate the additional components/complexity they add to the story and the future series (I’m assuming that’s happening, and I will be so sad if it doesn’t!). In case it wasn’t already clear, I definitely recommend reading this book. It’s a beautiful romance and had many moments that were funny (I actually laughed out loud a few times), heartwarming, or heartbreaking. Whether or not you’ve ever read a book by Chloe Liese, you don’t want to miss out on this one!

Honestly, this book was absolutely delightful until the last 15-20% just completely ruined everything. The reason for the 3rd act breakup makes absolutely no sense at all, ends up just seeming kinda petty and completely out of place, and ruins the entire vibe of the book. There's no proper reconciliation, it's just - oh yes I love you so it doesn't matter that you were entirely illogical in that weird breakup, I'll just take you right back because that's what is meant to happen. It put a bad taste in my mouth and left me with a ruined picture of the first part of the book.

I did love the representation that was in the book, though it felt like neither was truly explored all too in depth. But I loved the way that Jamie accommodates Bea and stands up for her when others aren't as willing as he is. They are very sweet together and were such a fun couple to watch unfold.

I wish I had more good things to say, but my love of the first portion was really tainted by how out of pocket the last part was.

I enjoyed the representation in this book, however I just didn't like it as much as the Bergman Brothers books. I just didn't quite hit the right notes for me.

Chloe Lies NEVER MISSES.

Enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this one was perfection. Bea was so unapologetically herself which we love to see in a FMC. Jamie-- with his tortoise shell glasses and his "prime and proper" attitude... like are you kidding me. Do I need to say more?

This is the first in the series and you definitely do not want to miss it.

Chloe Liese is a force to be reckoned with. There is magic in each and every one of her books and reading them feels like a privilege. Two Wrongs Make a Right is an instant forever favorite.

The characters, plot, and spice were all just so amazing. Also the way that Jamie was quite literally obsessed with Bea made me SWOON! I love this universe and I can’t wait for Better Hate Than Never!

If for some reason you have not read Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese yet, let me tell you why you should rectify that ASAP. This book had me hooked from the get-go, and I couldn't put it down. Picture this: a disastrous meet cute, some meddling friends and family, and the need to get revenge on said friends and family. Sparks fly, and you just know there's some serious chemistry brewing!

Bea and Jamie are seemingly opposites, but they'll muscle through all that if it means they can fake date and then break up, just to prove to their meddling loved ones that they need to mind their own business once and for all. Cue the amazing banter and unexpected vulnerability. Watching their relationship evolve was heartwarming and left me grinning like a fool. Chloe Liese is a masterful storyteller, combining romance, tenderness, and just the right amount of steaminess. It's a delightful reminder that sometimes, two wrongs can make a right.

Much Ado About Nothing is one my favorite Shakespeare plays and I loved this modern romance novel adaptation. The neurodivergent and anxiety representation was amazing and there was an amazing array of diverse side characters and found family. I always enjoy watching the process from fake dating to realizing they are in a real relationship.

The third act breakup and the reasoning behind it are what knocked off a star for me. I don't enjoy third act breakups in general and the reason for the breakup seemed a bit contrived to me and just didn't, in my opinion, make much sense.

How did I not know Bea was Pansexual??? That makes me so happy!!
Ok, so this is my first Chloe Liese novel, and I am so happy I finally tried this author! I loved the characters, I loved the writing, and I love the topics addressed. I also love the little nods to Shakespeare and such. It truly warmed my heart and soul so see these two opposites collide in the perfect fashion and have a meet disaster fixed by well meaning friends. I also loved the discussions around Bea's autism, and how it worked on their relationship together. Jamie is really the best human for her! Now, time to go read more by this author!

The only reason this has any stars at all is because of the male narrator. His voice could vaporize the undergarments of all age appropriate men and women within a 50 miles radius. His voice is a deadly weapon.

This book had SOOOOO much promise, BUT. Also, trigger warning: gaslighting and abusive/controlling behavior from a man to a woman.

1) they don't have a safe-sex discussion until he is literally about to go to town on her. Before this, she tells him that she needs a lot of lube and doesn't want it "in the back door". Yes, also important information, but maybe discuss how to prevent unwanted pregnancies and if either of you have an STI FIRST???

2) after dating like, A MONTH, the MC H gets A TATTOO of the Animal Spirit (also the nickname) of the MC h, also MATCHING one of HER tattoos, done OVER HIS HEART. Hasn't he ever heard that as soon as you get the name of the person you are dating tattooed onto your body, you just doomed the relationship??

3) He's 6'4", she's 5'7". I HATE the new trope of the GIGANTIC man and the WIDDLE BIDDY WADY. It's infantilizing her to the point of she's a child, because he's so BIG. That is just GROSS.

4) Third act break up was just STUPID and COMPLETELY the MC h's doing. The MC H did EVERYthing that he could to make things less traumatic for her sister and yet, it wasn't good enough. He's better off getting the tattoo lasered off and finding someone else IMHO.

5) The MC h had a twin, who was going through an abusive relationship. The MC h saw the signs, because she had been in one, but DIDN'T tell her twin about it, EVEN AFTER she saw the signs with her sister's new beau. She SHOULD have spoken up more, told her sister the whole story, but no, she was more interested in knocking boots with her new guy to care about THE SAFETY OF HER TWIN SISTER. WTF?!?

6) The MC h is allegedly on the spectrum, but the only things we see are that she can't tolerate the mouth-feel of vegetables and can't stand the sound of whale song. Unless her being a complete and utter rude, self-centered jerk to the people in her life who love her is a symptom, but I don't think it is.

I literally hated this book as it went on with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. The ONLY saving grace was the male narrator of this book. His voice was SO AMAZING that I downloaded the second book, hoping his voice could save that one like it did this until I DNF'd at 93%. (SPOILER ALERT: It did not.)

1, DNF'd at 93% stars and that male narrator needs a raise because he turned this into something that can be listened to, stars.

Para quem não conhece a Chloe Liese, ela é uma autora autista e traz essa representatividade em muitos dos seus livros. Nesse livro, temos Beatrice, uma mocinha neurodivergente, e Jamie, um rapaz introvertido e com ansiedade. Ambos estão no limbo da solteirice e são pegos no plano maluco dos seus amigos de juntarem os dois. A ideia de início dá muito errado, visto que o encontro deles foi para lá de desastroso, mas com a insistência das pessoas, eles acabam topando fingir estarem namorando e, assim, fazer com que parem de atazaná-los.

Eu amei como esse casal aparentemente não tem nada a ver um com o outro. Eles parecem uma receita para o desastre, mas, assim que começam realmente se conhecerem, tornam-se o apoio um do outro, além de terem uma química incrível. Jamie é bem o mocinho perfeito. Sério, onde dá para comprar um igual?

O relacionamento deles se desenvolve para um companheirismo muito bonito e maduro. Achei um pouco que a virada foi rápida e intensa. Mal começam a se conhecer e daqui a pouco estão fazendo altas declarações melosas um com o outro. Mas eles conseguem ser tão fofos e perfeitinhos, que acabei ignorando isso e curtindo o casal.

O que, infelizmente não deu para deixar batido foi o término no terceiro ato que, ao meu ver, não foi nada plausível. Eu amo a Chloe, mas nesse livro ficou bastante raso, como se tivesse enfiado qualquer motivo só para poder separar o casal e nem foi bem trabalhado isso depois. Esse fato acabou tirando o brilho do livro.

Contudo, ainda é uma história que eu recomendo e tenho certeza que muitos vão gostar. A autora trabalha as representatividades super bem e temos um grupo de secundários que também conseguem roubar a cena e deixar a história ainda mais interessante.

Agora ficarei no aguardo dos livros das irmãs, que eu acredito que promete muita coisa legal.

I love a good fake dating book, so I was excited to read this one! However, the book was just okay, I had a hard time getting into it.
Bea, an artist, and Jamie, a pediatrician, are set up on a blind date by Bea's sister and Jamie's roommate. Harmless right? No, Bea and Jamie do not like each other. On their blind date Bea and Jamie decide they should get revenge on the people that set them up by acting obnoxiously in love. But, the more they pretend to date, the more their feelings for each other develop. Will they be able to stay together?

I’ve been holding on to Thai book for a while. I love Chloe and her writing but I seriously have started this book several times. I just cannot get into it. It’s a personal preference. I love that Chloe writes about people with mental health issues and disabilities. This felt very heavy in that department.

I’m pretty picky about my contemporary romances, so my thoughts are a reflection of my personal preferences, not the story itself. It’s really hard for me to get into present tense, or fake dating and so, in the end, this story wasn’t for me.

However, it has fantastic rep all around, and the love interest was very sweet. The banter was cute, and the story built up the chemistry very well.

Personally, I’m disappointed that it wasn’t my cup of tea, because the book itself had many positives. Regardless, I think it had many aspects that are a step forward for the genre, and had much that more readers would enjoy.

Jamie and Bea are utterly adorable together and I loved how their differences made them whole as a couple. Chloe writes such amazing main characters and brings an incredible awareness to disabilities and the positive impact they can have instead of just the challenges. The sweet and spicy chemistry between them can be felt immediately and I loved listening to the way they came to life in the audiobook narrated by Charlotte North and Stephen Dexter.

Such a cute story! Loved the twin aspect and I love a good fake dating story! I really enjoyed these characters a lot.

I've read a book by Chloe Liese before and have been looking forward to reading more, so when this book arrived, I was so excited to pick it up!

I absolutely loved the beginning of this book, how Bea and Jamie met: the not very meet cutes! The representation in this book for autism and anxiety was so amazing, something we need to see more of!

This book was filled with humor but also some very emotional moments that had me crying and very worried. I will say there is a trigger warning for toxic relationships that we see somewhat on page! So do be aware of that!

I really enjoyed this book and I cannot wait to read more of this series!!
