Tattooed girl, nerdy boy, yes please. I adored this romance from Liese--steamy, smart, and perfect for opposites attract romance fans.

Not sure I bought into the setup, but the chemistry was fabulous. The highlight for me was the anxiety representation, especially in a male lead. Very well done.

As far as the larger story, it was nice, but lacked any significant plot movement. Some manipulation to get Bea & Jamie together and then they like being together. Fair enough. I did dislike the incredibly silly third act breakup, but I wonder if that fits in better with the retelling aspect? I'm not familiar with the Shakespeare work this novel is inspired by.

Not my favorite story from Chloe Liese, but I will certainly be looking forward to more from the author.

Two Wrongs Make a Right by Chloe Liese was another winning book. I loved it so much. I enjoyed how this was a modern retelling of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing between Jamie and Bea.

Have you ever been drawn into a book from the very first page? Two Wrongs Make A Right by Chloe Liese is just that kind of book. It is a five star read for me and ticks off so many boxes for me. First and foremost for me, it is a wonderfully crafted re-telling of my favorite Shakespearean play, Much Ado About Nothing. Hello! Beatrix and Benedict or in this case Bea and Jamie. Benedict is his middle name but more about that in the book. There is even the exchange of letters like in the play in the form of texts. Just lovely. Second, fake dating for revenge. Brilliant! What could go wrong? Nothing if you don’t end up actually falling in love. Right? Once they embark on this fake dating, delicious shenanigans ensue.

In writing classes you learn what the main motivators are for people: fame, wealth, power, love, and revenge. This book starts off in the revenge category and moves into love, and I need every recommendation for books similarly because I ate that UP.

This is a Much Ado About Nothing retelling and I forgot that and didn't notice it until the author's note/discussion post... and honestly I almost fell asleep during the production I saw at Shakespeare in the Park so that's on me.

I simply ADORE a chaotic main character and Bea is no exception. She's clumsy, leading to an epic meet-disaster, and speaks her mind. To others she comes off as an oddity, but I felt her deep in my soul from the get go. She's also pansexual and autistic, although I didn't feel like those elements played as big of a role as I expected.

Jamie absolutely falls first and it made me S W O O N. This is why romances in dual POV first person are superior.

This is sadly not an all-time favorite. I found the third act breakup a bit unnecessary, although it led to an important lesson about communication styles the characters needed to learn. I think there were better ways to accomplish that. I also didn't find the execution of the spurring revenge as satisfying or polished as it could have been. To top it off, there was so much goddamn crying. I couldn't handle it.

This is Chloe's first traditionally published romance, and as a Bergman Brothers stan I was hoping we'd uncover a new side of Chloe brought out through an industry editor. Instead I felt like she wrote a traditional debut that I would have written... and I don't have 7 wildly popular indie romances under my belt. It was a bit disappointing to feel like her writing was reverted back a few paces. It was also way less funny? But the swoony moments didn't miss!

“I’m saying, you’re the best kind of chaos I’ve ever met. And while chaos used to terrify me, you make me crave it. I’m saying, even though this is an absurd situation we’ve backed ourselves into . . . I’d do it again in a heartbeat because it’s given me you.”


But true to Chloe Liese fashion, the steam was so hot it fogged my glasses. I read all the scenes on a plane sitting next to my grandmother. I will have to revisit them in my own house to truly appreciate her artistry. He buys her favorite brand of lube he sees one day in her shopping cart? And he is obsessed with her tattoos?? PLS 😭

As far as enemies to lovers and fake dating go, I found the execution good but not great, which was kind of the whole feel of this book. Not the best I've read from Chloe, but it hits the spot. HOWEVER it is some excellent opposites attract!

I'll absolutely recommend this one to romance lovers, but I'm not sure I'll reread the book in its entirety (just, ahem, some of the scenes). However, I am PSYCHED for Better Hate than Never. I am a bit disappointed it's another enemies to lovers. I was hoping for a fresher spin. But Christopher was my favorite side character in this one!

Fake dating is one of my fav tropes. Even with that contrivance which forces them to be together in spite of their annoyances, the characters are realistically portrayed and the love story sweet and sexy. I like seeing everyone have a love story, and I love a Shakespeare retelling. The think the breakup towards the end could have been more fleshed out, but overall, I really enjoyed the book. I'll be recommending it! Thanks to NetGalley for the advance read.

i just couldn't get into this author's writing style and found myself unable to connect sadly--i ended up DNFinf bc of this and i also couldn't connect to the heroine.

Absolutely loved this one! Such a unique concept, and loved that the main character was neurodivergent. The characters were so well created and the scenes were perfect.

This was, disappointingly, just fine. I had high hopes for this neurodivergent romance, but I just couldn't get into the story - the plot didn't feel developed enough to hold my attention, and the romance didn't grab me enough to make up the difference.

Chloe Liese cannot write a bad book!! This was such a fun read and i loved it so much. I loved Bea and Jamie. They were both great and so understanding of each other. I feel like i was giggling and blushing and kicking my feet the entire time. This book was definitely a great introduction into a new world of characters! I am really looking forward to the next books to come!

I liked this one. It was a really sweet read. I am excited to read the next book in the series! ⭐⭐⭐

This book is so beautifully written. I could not get over all the times I stopped to write down a quote or just to take a minute to breath and digest what I was reading.

“My fake boyfriend isn’t supposed to ruin me for everyone else.” And later on in the book... “Sometimes Beatrice I want to ruin you for everyone else.”

That hit me so hard I can’t even explain it. This fake dating romance is everything I love in a book mixed with amazing representation for anxiety and autism. The meet cute at the beginning of this one is adorable. I love the quirkiness of these two and how they compliment each other even when they have so much going on in their own personal lives.

When things start to go wrong for these two I think my heart was actually breaking for them. I totally remember exactly where I was when finishing listening to this book. I was shoveling my driveway mid-snowstorm because I actually shouldn’t put this down.

This was my first Chloe Liese book and I am already addicted. I have since read two of her first series but I know this one is still my favorite and recently heard that this will be a series and am so excited!! We need more!!

This was such a fun hate-to-love fake dating book! I totally ate it up, and as a neurodivergent person, I appreciated the neurodivergent rep in this book, as well as the anxiety rep. Really a fun, fast paced book with great chemistry between the love interests. I am more than looking forward to reading the next one now, too!

Two Wrongs Make a Right is a new series by Chloe Liese, that is a retelling/reimagining of Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing". Similar to her other series, this book does an excellent job of depicting and representing neurodivergent characters including autism and anxiety. I loved the sibling relationship between Bea, Juliet, and Kat and the exploration about how three sisters can be so close but each experience life so differently. I loved the fake dating trope and banter/relationship development between Bea and Jamie. I didn't love the conflict towards the end of the book, even though I understand the purpose, I just wasn't a fan of it. I did love however that the conflict allowed us to meet Kat and potentially sets us up for a book following one of the other sisters. Overall this was an entertaining read and I enjoyed stepping into this new story by Chloe Liese.

After being tricked into going on a date with each other, Bea Wilmot and Jamie Westenberg decide to get back at them by acting like they hit it off and are really dating. This is a realistic friends-to-lovers romance that features neurodivergent characters. I enjoyed the story but did find some of the sex scenes seemed to go on forever but that seemed to really speak to a lot of other readers. I liked that Jamie seemed to pay attention to Bea's interests, wants, and needs in a way that didn't seem condescending or unrealistic. This couple felt like a real couple. I would recommend it.

chloe liese did not disappoint. i loved bea and jamie separately as characters and the interactions between them had me giggling. their banter and back-and-forth was so funny and i loved how they’re complete opposites and clashed at the start, but then slowly started realizing that there was so much more to the other than they thought and that they actually complement and balance each other out so well. AND THE VEGETABLE SOUP IN THE FREEZER MY GOD.

everyone knows i’m the biggest sucker for hurt/comfort and chloe always knows how to hit that spot for me. she writes those vulnerable scenes in such a raw and honest way and it always makes hits me right in the chest. jamie opening up about his anxiety. bea opening up about being on the autism spectrum. how bea told him she was worried he’d see her differently, and him simply replying with “i don’t see you differently, i see you better.” yeah i cried.

my only criticism is that i wish the tension between them was more drawn out, and that they didn’t give in to feelings until later than they did. but that’s just a personal preference.

i’m also very excited for the sisters kate and juliet’s stories because the set up for them was definitely there. especially kate and christopher hello?

I really just didn’t love this one as much as I’d hoped to. The characters didn’t feel fleshed out, the writing was a little too long winded, and I just didn’t find myself invested in the story. I loved the premise, but it just wasn’t for me.

I am such a big Chloe Liese fan so I was so excited to get to read an arc of this book (thank you to the publisher and Net Galley!).

While it took a little bit to warm up to the characters in this one, once they started to share more of themselves, I fell in love with them! Bea and Jamies relationship was so sweet, Jamie is such a cinnamon roll, and I loved how many details we got about their day to day lives (I love mundane details!).

The reason I didn't rate this 5 stars was for the third act conflict. The "reason" they couldn't be together did not make sense to me and felt unnecessary.

But I still love Chloe Liese's writing and stories and would still recommend this book just for Jamie alone!

Jamie and Bea are truly the definition of opposites attract! They are so meant to be! Their love story was filled with so much laughter, banter, and sexy times! I couldn't get enough!!!

As always I love that Chloe Liese writes book with anxiety and autism representation! I love seeing characters that struggle with social interactions find love, it's so amazing and it gives me hope!

Also as someone with 3 sisters who I love so very much I really enjoyed reading about the strong sister bonds between Bea, Juliet, and Kat!

Overall, I enjoyed the hell out of this book and will continue to devour Chloe Liese's writing!

I couldn't put it down and I didn't want to. This book lived up to every ounce of hype that I had experienced for it. This book is beautifully written; a gripping storyline with strong characters. It ticked all the boxes of my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to others.
