“Everyone has stuff their dealing with in their lives, even if they choose not to show it. Just because you don’t dump every detail out for everyone to see doesn’t mean you’re not real. It’s a weird world to navigate and everyone has to choose what amount is right for them to share. “

After losing her marketing job, Millie packs everything up to move to Peacock Bay to start over. She decides to play her hand at being an Instagram influencer like her friends to try to make a living. She soon realizes that it can completely control you. Millie has a special little dress (that is similar to sister hood of the traveling pants ) that she shared with her best friends when life needs a little pick me up. Maybe this dress will help her score the perfect life and finally get the guy she has always wanted.

Erica Shendelle was the PERFECT choice to narrate this story. I loved every second of this story and can not wait to read future works from Gillian Libby. I will definitely recommend this to others.

Special thanks to Netgalley and Dreamscape media for providing an audio arc in return for an honest review.

What a great summer read! Millie is up for a great adventure after losing her job, and heading back to California's coast to figure out what to do next. Of course she takes her dress that she shares with her best friends, the "sisterhood of the traveling dress". Millie has to figure out a way to balance real life, and the life that is seen through the eyes of social media.
Four Ways to wear a dress has friendship, romance, and adventure. What makes this book stand out for me is that it is relatable in so many ways. Social media is such a big part of everyone's lives these days, and navigating it can be so challenging. This book does a great job of showing the struggles of small businesses during the pandemic. It also does an awesome job of showing the challenges for those with ADHD, as well as having children with disabilities.
While I really enjoyed reading this book, I found myself getting frustrated with the main character, Millie. I felt like she was oblivious to so much around her, especially Pete's interest in her.
Overall I enjoyed this book, and recommend it to anyone who loves a good spicy love story!

Big city to small town, friends to lovers, sisterhood of the traveling pants -esque feel good romantic comedy. Four Ways to Wear a Dress had me laughing, smiling and considering how much social media really plays a roll in our lives. Great read!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. Well I really really wanted to like this book. Sadly it was a pass for me. I didn't like any of the characters. The main female character is annoying in my mind, actually all of her and her friends are annoying. They act like teenagers when they are suppose to be grown adults and most of them are married is multiple kids. The language is absolutely horrible. Not only are there tons of F bombs but they actually say it over and over in front of children. Just disgusting. I had to check because I felt like this book was written for young adults but the content matter is definitely not for YA group. Just a miss for me. I did like the narrator she did a good job and the cover is cute.

Very cute though it was a bit difficult to relate to or particularly enjoy any of the characters it was very heavy on influencer and surfer culture which kind of bogged it down at points but enjoyable as a beach read overall. The central plot of the lucky dress shared by 4 college friends was a cute callback to the sisterhood of the traveling pants

Millie gets laid off from her job in New York during the pandemic. Now she has moved to California and is trying to gain a huge following from instagram with her surfing posts until she gets reintroduced to her high school crush Pete. She is staying at his families hotel, in his home town and helping his sister boost her business! Things eventually lead into instagram “Newly weds” is it fake or is it fate?

I REALLY, really enjoyed this steamy summer romance set in a small beach town. Millie is a social media influencer whose lost her way (and her following). When a friend asks her to come home and help her out for a month she agrees easily, especially when she finds her lucky dress - the one that has brought luck to all her friends (think Sisterhood of the travelling pants!). Trying to help her friends, Millie ends up in a fake dating situation with her best friend's brother - the man she's happened to have a huge crush on since college.

Full of heart, humor and lots of relatable moments. I loved the mental health rep (Millie has ADHD and is constantly battling feelings of being a screw up) and also enjoyed that Millie was a bad-ass surfer chick (think Blue Crush). The exhaustion of being tied to a social media grid and constantly chasing followers is also very well done in this book.

Definitely add it to your summer #tbr if you like:
- women surfers
- neurodivergent MCs
- best friend's brother trope
- fake dating
- open door romance with TONS of chemistry
- small town setting
- great female friendships

This was honestly a surprise delight and I'm so grateful to have gotten an advance review copy thanks to NetGalley and Sourcebooks!! Great on audio narrated by
Erika Schindele and highly recommended!!
