This was a wonderful book. Anyone interested in the Inuit and the lands they inhabit would love this book.

Although this book isn’t a complete study on British adventurers, it covers enough of them to be a really great read. From failed attempts to reach the northern passageway to successful adventures. This book a story after story of white men greeting the kind Eskimos and despite never having seen white men before the welcoming because they think they are long lost family from a woman who had babies for dogs in the white men or human children. As I said this book is very interesting and that is not the only fun story you learn in this book. I think Ken Harper writes the best books between this one and The New York eskimos he writes some really good books. I loved his writing style in the fact that you can tell this is a copy and paste but well researched material. If you love nonfiction books on social history and just plain history you’ll love this book. I certainly did. I was given this book by Net Gally and the publisher and I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any grammar or punctuation errors as I am blind to dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.
