Thank you to ABRAMS Kids for giving me an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As with any Frances Hardinge book, I found this story to be well-written, whimsical fun. Utterly creative and fascinating, I hardly wanted to put the book down. Opening a Frances Hardinge book is like opening a doorway into another world and stumbling over the threshold, falling into a world of wonder and intrigue. You never know when the adventure will be over and when you'll come back out of that world, but you're happy to lose yourself in it.

I was pleased by the satisfying conclusion, but I expected nothing less. I don't think there's ever been a Frances Hardinge book that has let me down yet, and I'm not sure I'll ever see the day. I highly recommend this book and will be requesting my director order a copy for our library to add to our collection of Frances Hardinge titles.

Since the release date is so far off, I'll be withholding a detailed Goodreads review until closer to release. However, should you be considering a preorder of this book, I don't think you'll be disappointed! And if it's your first Hardinge book, it's as good a place to start as any. In the meanwhile, check out some of her other titles! There's no wrong choice when it comes to Hardinge, whose work shines whether written on paper or recited via audiobook.

This was my first book by Frances Hardinge, and I feel the need to go read all of her previous books. Unraveller was fabulous. It definitely felt like something new and creative, full of unexpected twists.
In a world where hatred can lead to the power to curse someone, Kellen has the gift of unravelling those curses. He and Nettle, a former cursed girl that he "cured", travel from town to town rescuing the cursed. But when a group of cursers band together to threaten the status quo, Kellen and Nettle must unravel the mystery.
Unraveller has great world building and is full of unique characters.
Highly recommend!
Thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for an early copy to review.
