Situationship is a cute book without a bunch of angst. I like angst but it's refreshing to read a book that doesn't tie you up in knots for a change. I'm not saying there weren't issues to deal with between Teagan and Harley (estranged sisters) and Teagan and Colin (neighbors with a past) and Teagan and her Ex, then there were the darling twins and Maddie, but it wasn't gut wrenching, although I wanted to kick Teagan in the behind several times, but that's the thing about books and real life - everyone has to learn from their mistakes and figure out how to fix them. I laughed (Garbage Disposal) and I cried a little reading this book. Also, a side story - I wondered if Harley and Bryan would get their own book, but you have to read it to find out how everything works out. Thank you to Kensington and NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Situationship, by Marina Adair, is a humorous heartfelt story of coming home and second chances for Teagan Bianchi and her younger sister Harley. Teagan is slowly recovering from her recent divorce and discovery of all her gambling addicted ex Frank has gambled away. . . their home, business, savings gone. Now Teagan and her almost 4 year old twins Poppy and Lily, along with their rescue dog Garbage Disposal, have returned from Seattle to Pacific Cove, California, to start over in the home her dear Nonna Rosa bequeathed to her.

After two long days with toddlers and beast loaded in their SUV with her few belongings in a pull behind trailer, Teagan is exhausted when they arrive at Nonna Rose’s cottage. The two things she did not expect on arrival are her estranged sister, Harley, and her teenage boyfriend, Colin West, DVM.

This story has an intricately designed plot which follows Teagan’s homecoming, reunion with Harley and with Colin, and plan to move forward while negotiating with her young twins, Colin’s teenage daughter, and her bungling ex. As Ms. Adair brings all story threads together, the reader will laugh and perhaps become misty eyed. This is a lovely story and I do recommend it.

Loved this book, a rom com along with woman's fiction makes it the perfect read. Teagan is ready for a new beginning after her divorce. She packs up her young twins and big dog, Garbage Disposal and returns to her childhood home on the beach. Her grandma left her the house, only to find out that her estranged sister is living there already. To top it off, her neighbor is her first love, Colin is a single dad raising his teenage daughter.

This story will have you laughing out loud, a few tears were shed. Loved the chemistry between Teagan and Colin! Loved the coexist of the sisters, but then to realize once a sister, always a sister.

I love the way Marina Adair writes a romance. When In Rome series book 3 did not disappoint. I enjoyed the second chance romance as well as the family dynamics in this book. Character development was good and the story kept me turning the pages.

I received an advanced digital copy from the publisher and Net Galley. All opinions are my own.

This is a Women's Fiction/Romance. I loved this book so much. I really loved the characters in this book, and the dog, Garbage Disposal just made the book. I love when an animal takes over the book. This book has some really funny times, and I laughed so hard at times while reading this book. There were also steamy moments in this book. I loved the characters trying to figure out what they wanted and how to get there. This was a really great read with everything I want in it. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Kensington Books) or author (Marina Adair) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

I really enjoyed reading this flirty, fun story. I enjoyed how Teagan and Harley were sisters who needed to deal with their unusual past in order to have a future. It was funny how they sometimes got on each other's nerves, especially with Teagan's rules.
Teagan was a fun, loving character, with self doubts about the parenting of her twins since she was now a single mom who was trying to start over in Pacific Cove, away from her life in Seattle.
Colin was the sexy veterinarian who lived next door and happened to be Teagan's first love. I enjoyed the story because of all of the characters, their ups and downs, and trying to move on from the mistakes they made. The four year old twin girls were so cute and precocious. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Situationship is a second chance romance between two divorced single parents who were each other's first loves. It is twenty years later, and Colin and Teagan are living next to each other on the beach where they spent so much time together as teenagers. There is also another side story involving Teagan and her sister. They have a complicated past and are trying to develop/repair their relationship as well.

I love second chance stories and this one was truly enjoyable. I appreciated the story about Teagan and her sister Harley and wasn't bothered by the departure from the romance to tell the sisters' story. I liked that this book is written from three perspectives - Teagan, Colin, and Harley. Each voice was fresh and believable. While I found some parts of the book predictable, I didn't mind because the writing was fun to read, and the story just made me smile. The only thing I would have liked was a little more about how Colin resolved his issues with his daughter, how Teagan's daughter Lily was doing, and an update on Harley and Bryan. Overall, I'd give it 4.5 stars.

My sincere thanks to Kensington Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book and give my unbiased opinion of it.

I enjoyed this second chance contemporary romance/women’s fiction by Marina Adair. Teagan is a harried single mom of twin 4 YOs whose ex husband’s gambling addiction destroyed her family bread baking business. She moves back the house she inherited from her beloved grandmother in Pacific Grove, CA hoping to resurrect the business in the place where it started. However, she immediately faces several challenges, first, her flighty, nomadic younger sister has also come to the house, hoping to escape a relationship that was becoming too important, and second, Teagan immediately runs into Colin, the guy next door, whom she fell hard for in high school, but then rejected in order to go away to college. Colin also has all kinds of demands on his time as a veterinarian singlehandedly trying to keep a popular clinic staffed, and a single dad of a somewhat confused teenager about to leave for college. Lots of juggling of priorities and feelings ensues with both Colin and Teagan feeling like they are stretched to the breaking point, but still unable to resist the second chance their relationship has been given.

This book was in equal parts a sweet second chance romance as well as an exploration of family in all of its messy glory. Harley, the younger sister, also goes through plenty of self-discovery right along with Teagan and Colin and everyone achieves satisfaction by the end of the book. If anything, I found Harley to be the most sympathetic character in the book as she fought through Teagan’s initial verbal slings and tried to reclaim the sisterly relationship they had when they were young kids. I think the family dynamics were wrapped up a bit too neatly but the book did have emotional heft as well as comic relief in the form of Teagan’s cute twins and their ne’er-do-well rescue dog, aptly named GD (Garbage Disposal). My thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

I have read several of Ms Adair’s books but think she hit this one out of the ball park. Teagan, divorced from her husband who has gambled away all they have, heads to the house her nonna gave her with her twin daughters to start a new life! And that is where her life gets crazier. There is her first love still living next door with his 17 year old bratty daughter, her crazy wandering non-adulting sister camping out at the house, a business she is trying to build up by baking bread just as her Nonna did and of course her first love, Colin, now a Veterinarian. I loved the second chance love and how this family manages to overcome a lot of odds to be the family they were meant to be

Funny, sexy, emotional, families, delicious baked goods and love! This book has it all.

This was a fun, fast-paced, well-written book. I enjoyed the sisterly spats between Teagan and Harley, the silent communication between twins Lily and Poppy, and the second chance romance between Colin and Teagan. Everything was wrapped up in one book, so its a stand-alone instead of a series.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Teagan and Colin are so sweet together! I loved how both of them made their children a priority, despite the complications and problems that caused. There is a gentle humour in this book that really resonated with me. Teagan’s twin daughters are a real highlight of the book, with their eccentric personalities and determination to live life on their own terms. Teagan’s sister and Colin’s daughter are also great secondary characters, struggling to make the right choices whilst dealing with emotional baggage from their pasts. A lot of emotions and different types of relationships are explored in the book, in a sympathetic yet playful way. I loved it!

I love Marina’s writing! She’s a go-to author for me. I was excited for this book. The characters felt realistic and relatable. Teagan hasn’t had an easy go of it. She’s trying to pull herself up by her bootstraps and keep her kids alive. This story was often laugh out loud funny. The dog, Garbage Disposal was the best! I could definitely see him causing his mayhem. And I loved the way Teagan is thrown back into Colin’s life. First loves can be complicated but so is life. I enjoyed these two together. I wanted things to work out for both of them. This was an endearing read that I couldn’t put down and I can’t recommend enough!

Teagan & Colin

I LOVE this! Teagan has a place in my heart for her determination to be a savvy, organized, modern, put-together single mom! She can’t help it when life or Garbage Disposal get in the way, not to mention two rambunctious four year old twins!

I enjoy the premiss of a past relationship between Teagan and Colin when they were so fresh and young, still finding their paths in life.

I love Harley’s persistence in keeping the bamboo chair and her ultimate growth and maturity helping Teagan navigate her life with all she has on her plate. I agree with Teagan & Colin’s sharing of parental expenses and guidance. Maddie is definitely putting Colin through his paces.

Teagan and Colin’s journey is filled with angst and affection. Their love is unknowingly deep and the forever kind.

Well written and so, so sweet. I love stories from this author.

Teagan Bianchi is starting life over with her twin four year old daughters and their rescue dog, Garbage Disposal. She heads to her late grandmother’s house in the hopes of resurrecting her bread shop. Teagan is determined to make it a success since her ex-husband lost everything they had.

Going home is never easy as Teagan quickly learns. Her teenage sweetheart still lives next door, and her flighty sister has taken up residence in her home. Teagan has her hands full.

Colin West is having problems of his own. His teenage daughter is giving him all kinds of trouble while his boss at the veterinary clinic is, also, a huge problem. Colin wonders about his future. Then, Teagan moves back next door, and his life is totally thrown upside down.

This may have been my first Marina Adair book, but it won’t be my last. I enjoyed Teagan and Colin’s journey and their second chance at romance. There are some fun moments as well as some poignant ones. I especially enjoyed the character growth of Teagan and her sister. It was beautifully done and felt realistic to me. It wasn't a sudden growth. It was gradual and worked well.

The characters are well-developed. They could easily be your next-door neighbor. The situation the characters find themselves in is quite realistic.

I like to call this type of book a large slice of life. Real people in real situations trying to keep their heads above water. I can’t say this is necessarily a sweet romance because there are a couple of steamy scenes between Colin and Teagan. Their sparks are definitely flying.

This is a heartwarming book with many emotions running through it. It definitely touched my heart strings.

After retreating to her grandmothers home on the Monterey Bay, Teagan plans to regroup, settle in with her twin toddlers and pull her life back together after her ex lost everything she'd worked so hard to build to his gambling addiction.

What she didn't expect was to find her still very real and evident pull to her next door neighbor and first love. And the sexy vet certainly didn't need the kind of hurt Teagan left on his heart when she left for college early and they lost their last summer together.

Even more unexpected was to find her sister unexpectedly squatting in her home. Raised by different parents, the two couldn't be more different, and the last thing she needed while trying to settle into her new normal was her flighty sister taking up residence with her and the twins.

Situationship was such a sweet romance. And it was about so much more than rekindling that old relationship. It was about Teagan finding herself, remembering who she was before she became a wife, mother and breadwinner. It was about learning to trust again, not only Colin, but her sister...and herself. And doing all of those things with young twins and an oaf of a dog. I absolutely adored this story.

Teagan goes back to her home town after her marriage and family business collapse. She is trying to figure out where to go while being a single mom to adorable four-year-old twins and starting a new business. When she gets to the house her grandma left her she finds her estranged sister living there and her first love, Colin, living next door.

There are a lot of hilarious moments in this book, as well as, some steamy parts. I liked that some were of the book was from Teagan’s POV, but other parts were from Colin and her sister’s POV. There were times that I felt like Teagan was too hard on her sister, it wasn’t her fault that their dad raised her while their mom raised Teagan. The growth that each character went through was nice and I appreciated that there were time lapses so the reader knows that it wasn’t within a few weeks that everything happens. I wish some of the storylines would have had more closure, but overall, this is a really enjoyable read.

I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

I loved the seaside community. I absolutely loved the house Teagon inherited.
I loved that she rekindles a relationship with her neighbor and also gets closer with her sister. The twins add comic relief as does Garbage Disposal, an appropriate name.
What I didn’t like is how she lets her ex just comeback and mooch off her. Once scene was so heartbreaking that I was yelling at her what are you doing???
It’s a good read about making better choices in life, setting boundaries, and learning to take risks again.
