Teagan and Colin’s story will draw a reader into their romance and wanting more. Teagan goes back home to discover her long estranged sister living at their grandmother’s house. Can Teagan and her sister learn to let go of the past while Teagan falls in love again with an old flame that’s also the boy next door? Great romance!

A very enjoyable story about two sisters who reconnect with each other after one moves back to their childhood house that was their Nonna's (which has been left to her) with her twin 4-year old daughters after a divorce.

Teagan and Harley were split apart when they were younger and their parents divorced, one living with their mother (Teagan) and having a more stable life, and one living with their roadie father (Harley) and living out of a suitcase all over the country. They saw each other during holidays, but were never that close afterwards.

After Teagan's divorce, where her useless husband gambled away everything, she moved back to her childhood home and found her sister was also staying there for a while, after abandoning her boyfriend as she felt they were getting too close, and Harley didn't 'do' relationships for very long.

After a bit of a rocky start they start getting closer and remember the good times they had as children. There's a cheeky dog called Garbage Disposal, two really cute twins, and two great guys, the one Harley tried to forget but couldn't, and an old love who lived next door (Colin - a vet), for Teagan.

This was just a really great story with some interesting characters and a lovely ending. A great read.

Colin didn’t really wanted to fall back in love with Teagan, his teenage crush when she moved back next door. A lot had happened since their younger years. They both got married, had kids etc etc. Life and love does not work like that. So of course they fell back in love. The twist? Teagan’s no good ex showed up. Claiming he loves the twins, wanted a fourth or fifth chance, yadi yadi yada…

The surety that Colin stood for Teagan for her business almost caused him the inheritance he needed to start the Vet business he spent his life planning for. Teagan’s ex has done what he knew best, squandered her money.
They overcame though, and all is well that ends well.

This was the latest book that I have read by Marina Adair. She has quickly become one of my go-to authors because it is so easy to relate to her characters.

I enjoyed this story about Teagan and Colin who become neighbors again after more than a decade. This is a great story about the trials and tribulations of adulting, gambling addiction, raising children, single parenting.

I chose a Marina Adair book to read on my vacation and it did not disappoint!! I have a hardcore crush on Colin! I thought this book was very well written with good conflict that kept me reading from start to finish.
Teagan has four year old twins and she ends up back at the house her grandma left her. She’s trying to build her business again after her ex-husband lost it. Her sister, Harley, is unexpectedly living in the house. Teagan allows her stay to help out with the girls. Teagan’s teenage love lives next door. He’s a well respected veterinarian. I love Teagan and Harley’s individual journeys back together as sisters. Each sister had their own character growth that brought them back together. Teagan’s journey also brought her back to her first love. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves sisters finding their way back with an enjoyable romance too! Huge thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book!

We follow Teagan, a recently divorced woman with 4 year old twins and an overeager puppy named Garbage disposal as they relocate to the Beach House left to her by her Nonna. When she arrives Teagan's younger, estranged sister Harley is camping out there as she seeks refuge from her adult responsibilities. The sisters were separated rather young after their parents divorce and only saw each other once a year growing up, Teagan got to stay with her mother and Nonna in a stable and secure home, while Harley travelled the world with her dad "the groupie".

Teagan is trying to figure out her life as a single parent, reopen her family's bakery legacy and deal with her irresponsible sister.

Harley is trying to prove to Teagan that she is not a screw up, yearns to mend their relationship and is figuring out what her own heart wants.

Colin, the dreamy Veterinary Dr who happens to be Teagan's first love - now resides permanently next door HER Beach House. He was heartbroken they way they left things and he is now both intrigued by Teagan and terrified.

This story was overall very sweet and I loved the wit throughout the pages.
I loved following the sisters storyline
I love Garbage disposal
and, I loved the idea of Colin and Teagan
Some part of the book did fall a little flat for me though, and at times I felt like I was missing chapters. The ending also felt a bit rushed for me.

If you are looking for a light, funny, second chance romance with a strong family storyline throughout - this is def the book for you.

This is a good book. The two main characters are Teagan and Colin. They have known each other all their lives. They were boyfriend and girlfriend in high school. Teagan broke up with him right before college. She has moved back to the only home she knew, with her twin daughters. Colin still lives next door he is a veterinarian. Teagan is a baker and wanting to open a shop. There still a mutual attraction. They both have trust issues but together they work them out and fall in love.

Situationship by Marina Adair is the story of two adult sisters who were separated as children in a misguided divorce decree. The sisters, Teagan and Harley, barely know each other now. They wouldn’t, in fact, even be together except that Harley is squatting in Teagan’s beach house when Teagan and her daughters arrive unexpectedly. The sisters are antagonistic but to move the story along, they continue to live together in the beach house. Oh, and maybe they’ll find love in the process. I mean, it’s a romance novel so of course they’re looking for love.

Teagan supposedly has everything working, all the time, and is highly critical of her less predictable sister. Harley, on the other hand, supposedly never does anything right; but despite what we’re told, the character arcs are completely reversed. Harley teaches early yoga classes, works with local businesses, helps Teagan with her kids and her business while Teagan can’t seem to brush her hair or manage her children. I’m just not getting how their character arcs are such a mismatch with their behaviors.

Overall, I have come to the conclusion that this book was not for me. The repartee between the older sister, Teagan, and her love interest, Colin, is mostly frustrating, frequently cringy. However, I suspect that some people might find their conversations believable. I just don’t know that many people – actually any – who talk in metaphors as much as these characters do.

In addition, there are things I would characterize as story development problems. For example, Harley, the younger sister, does a bunch of very secretive work to help her sister. Why is it a secret? It’s legal. It’s useful. Why doesn’t she share her plans? We don’t really get any explanation. This leads me to believe that the author needed Harley to be secretive in order to move the story forward.

Another example of anomalous story development is the author’s use of Colin’s daughter, Maddie. For a troubled, lying teen, she’s given really important responsibilities, like watching very young children. There’s also an awkward scene when Maddie catches her father and Teagan … er, in the act. Maybe the author doesn’t have any children. I can promise you, if any one of my three kids caught me having sex, they would not react by staying in the room, while the adults dressed under the covers. That’s just absurd.

Teagan and Colin were high school sweethearts who separated before college (to move the story forward). Supposedly, Teagan was being a bigger person by ending their relationship without even saying goodbye but why? It isn’t clearly explained. It also doesn’t make any sense. It does allow, though, for 20 years to pass so they can meet up again and rekindle their relationship. But how can they be in love? They don’t even know each other now, right?

I received a digital ARC through NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Second chances are my favorite trope and recently divorced, mother of twins, Teagan Bianchi, not only gets a second chance with her estranged sister, Harley, but also her first love, Colin West. Teagan inherited her grandmother's house, so after her husband destroyed the family business and lost everything else they had, she moves her four year olds and their dog, Garbage Disposal, back to Pacific Cove. She finds her sister squatting in the house and Colin living next door. As a teenager, she had left Colin to pursue her own dream of opening her own branch of the family business, but also, to make sure he did not give up his dream of becoming a veterinarian and opening is own clinic. Both married undependable people, and Colin is in a later stage of life, getting ready for his daughter to leave for college. He doesn't want to get sucked into Teagan's life, but she has always been irresistible to him. It is a lovely story, with endearing characters and lots of lively banter.

If my chaotic life allowed, I could've read this in one sitting! Attention grabbing, and you don't want to put it down. There is a sampling of troubles in parenting a teen that supplements the story rather than distracting from it. The storyline is realistic and includes all aspects of life- drama, chaos, friendship, struggles, sibling rivalry, perseverance, self-discovery, rebuilding

I was very suprised with this book. The writing style was a little different to what I am used to but I really enjoyed it. Marina's writing pulled me into the story. The characters weren't portrayed as perfect and I adored the ups and downs of this book.

There were so many things I enjoyed about this. I adored the relationship between Teagan and Harley. It wouldnt be easy growing up the way they did, being raised by each parent and being seperated from each other. I could never imagine that. I loved the humour and the back and forth banter, whether is be in good nature or an argument.

I also enjoyed Teagan and Collin's relationship. From a teenage romance that ended up with both of them hurt, only to rekiddle 20 years later after both going through divorces and trying to raise their childen. Teagan and Collin fall in love all over again, they argue but quickly admit their wrongs and move on. Their support for one another is so endearing, they support each others careers, wants and dreams. Even though they are in differnet stages of life, Collins daughter is just about to go off to college and Teagan has 4 years old twin girls, they still manage to make their relationship work. Factor in Teagan ex and its a very intersting read.

I love Marina Adair books! This one did not disappoint. SITUATIONSHIP is about a recently divorced Mom, Teagan, along with her twin daughters (older preschoolers), who are moving to a new location (familiar to her - her Nonna's house which was willed to her) to restart her life. Upon arriving at the house, she discovers a couple of things - her sister is living there, and her high school sweetheart is living next door! The chaos begins, with relationships being challenged and renewed. Teagan's sister, Harley, must regain her sister's trust, while also building relationships with her nieces. Simultaneously, Teagan is reacquainting herself with Colin next door, working through their past hurts and finding new ways to move forward.

This story has wonderful character development for all the primary characters. The author brought enough background in to inform readers about the characters yet stayed fully vested in their full development. They are solid and consistent throughout the story, even though the characters are steadily evolving. The story's plot is light and fun, with the exception of dealing with parenting issues at times, and finishes with a great climax and wrap-up at the conclusion of the book. It was enjoyable to read, and I would highly recommend this for light, romantic reading.

I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher - Kensington Publishing and/or author (Marina Adair) via NetGalley, so I could give an honest review of this book. Thank you! This is an angsty book with all the feels. There is also some very funny times. I loved Teagan and Colin. They’re both super sweet people. I really loved Harley. I felt so sorry for her. The twins were just the cutest. The writing is so good. I felt like I was in the middle of their hectic lives. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

This book engaged me in from the very beginning. I love the chemistry between the two characters. I don’t know how to quite describe that chemistry it’s just something that they have that you can’t put your finger on but levels you wanting. There playful banter makes you chuckle.
Secondary to the main characters I love the relationship between the two sisters. I enjoyed seeing them work through the struggles and build a strong relationship. This book took you through a range of motions but in the end left you with a smile. You got a true bonus with the twins and garbage disposal :)

I'm not completely sure what made this just ok for me. There were parts I definitely liked, mostly involving the dog, Garbage Disposal. I think it was that the major components of the plot were unfocused. At one point, Harley's involvement in Teagan's business is super important yet nothing much is really said about it. Once the focus was on the romantic relationship, the sisters' relationship wasn't discussed much. It didn't seem like there was a purpose behind it or there was resolution that would lead to that approach.
