A Cat Cafe Christmas by Codi Gary. A Christmas love story involving cats. Cats are so fun they can be terrors too as they are in the story. Read the story you will love it.

Raise your hand if enemies to lovers is your jam! I loved this story. Kara is doing her best to run a veterinarian cafe for foster cats. With not enough money her dreams of placing cats in their forever homes will be crushed. Marketing whiz Ben comes into town and is the face behind the marketing campaign to help get Meow and Forever on their feet and earn the rest of the money needed. Kara hiding out from an extremely damaging social scandal is afraid to put herself out there while Ben is healing family wounds. The two together bring a feel good story with plenty of ups and downs and lots of laughs! This book was purr-fect

A Cat Cafe Christmas was wonderfully lighthearted and adorable book about two grumpy individuals brought together by a rescued cat. While initially I'll admit, I only started reading this due to being a cat person myself, I was so pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable of a read this was! Kara was immediately a relatable MC, both from being from Alabama (like myself), and by her love for felines—the grumpy part was pretty accurate too. A romcom that's definitely a read for the upcoming holiday, I'll definitely recommend it to those who enjoy a light read and are a fan of contemporary romances.
Also, every chapter starts off with the cutest insert that describes one of the many felines being taken care of in the cafe; what more can you ask for!? 😍

Thank you NetGalley and Forever for this eARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was the perfect Hallmark-style holiday book. It included two of my favorite tropes: grumpy/sunshine and enemies-to-lovers. I found the romance wasn’t exactly closed door, but it was definitely on the PG13 scale with the level of curse words more on a PG scale.
As an animal rescue advocate myself, I found this book very relatable. I loved the cat introductions as the title of each chapter, but I wished each chapter was more directly related to the cat being introduced.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I thought Ben’s reason for not wanting to reconnect with someone from his family was extremely valid. Even though this book also contains several versions of the miscommunication trope (my least favorite), I felt they were all very well written and completely understandable.
I would definitely recommend this one to anyone looking for a warm and fuzzy (pun intended) holiday read.

I've always loved the opposites attract trope. Kara and Ben are great! The romance between the pair was adorable and I found myself rooting for them from the very beginning. Watching Ben evolve into a cat person was super cute. Lots of swoony scenes! The ADHD rep from Kara was great and her friendship with Charity was so wholesome! I was not a huge fan of whole Ben, his brother, and his ex-fiance thing. At risk of posting spoilers I won't go into details, but I found the whole family situation... awkward and weird. I was not vibing with the reconciliation. To me, Ben had every right to act the way he did and his family treated him like crap for it.
Overall, I enjoyed this story! I used to work at a vet clinic and rescued my cat, so saving a cat cafe was a cute plot to follow for me. This is very much a light hearted read that will put you in a Christmasy mood. I'd recommend pairing this book with a cup of your favorite holiday themed drink and cuddling up with your furry reading buddy.

Cats, coffee, and Christmas - my three passions all in one book.
Animal-lover Kara needs help to save her dream business. Marketing-guru Ben needs distraction from heartbreak. Feline shenanigans, cute banter, and a feel good story is what you will find in this festive read.
The beginning of the book felt like the author didn’t know who the characters were quite yet but as the story progressed, so did the quality of writing.
Thank you Netgalley for the ARC! Out on October 4th, don’t miss this cute little holiday book!

Kara Ingalls is devoted to cats and animal rescue. That’s what makes her a great veterinarian. Along with her best friend, they decide to open a cat cafe. While the customers enjoy some tasty pastries and coffee, they also have the opportunity to adopt one of the loving cats looking for their forever home. However, it takes more than a love of cats to keep the cafe open. Kara has to come up with the funds to support her business.
Ben Reese is an expert marketing professional, and he has some great ideas in helping Kara raise funds and bring positive attention to her cafe. Kara has trust issues with men and she’s not sure she should go along with Ben’s plan, but she doesn’t have much choice if she doesn’t want the cafe to close.
Kara and Ben are a classic case of opposites attracting. The sparks fly when they are together. Their goal of making the cat cafe a success brings them closer every day.
Each chapter starts off with a description of one of the cats available for adoption at Kara’s cat cafe. I thought it an excellent touch to bring the reader right into the fictitious cafe. I know I felt as if I were there and rooted for each cat to be adopted.
To say I enjoyed this book would be an understatement. As a cat lover, this book touched all my emotions and checked all my boxes for a great story. At one point I couldn’t even see the pages as my eyes filled with tears. This is a topic that is dear to my heart, and I thought the author did an excellent job of creating a realistic story.
The romance is sweet and heartwarming. Kara and Ben each come with their own set of skeletons in their closet. Each one tries so hard to get over them, but sometimes you just need the help of someone who truly cares.
I think this would make an excellent Hallmark movie. These are two characters I cheered for from beginning to end. This is a beautiful Christmas romance that leaves you with those warm fuzzy feelings.

Thank you to Forever and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
This si the first time I read a novel by Codi Gary. It was good book to go with a nice cup of hot chocolate.
I have many times thought about looking for a cat cafe, possibly all my clothes would be full of fur, because I adore cats, and a romance in a cat cafe at Christmas sounds really good.

This book was everything that I wanted in a Christmas romance. It was such a super cute and fluffy rom-com and I absolutely adored it. It felt just like watching a Hallmark movie.
Kara Ingalls is a veterinarian but she also runs Meow and Furrever with her best friend and partner Charity. Sadly, the cafe isn’t doing well and there’s more cats than there are customers. If they don’t come up with a plan soon, Kara will be saying goodbye to her dream of opening the low cost clinic in the back of the cafe as well as the cafe itself.
Ben Reese is a marketing guru and has a plan to help get the cafe back in business before Christmas. That is, if Kara and Ben can put aside their differences and work together. There’s nothing like a cute kitten bringing people together..
Y’all this book was so good. I really enjoyed my time reading this one. I work at a vet clinic myself and I loved being able to read about some of the things that I actually do day to day. The setting was perfect and the grumpy-grumpy romance was spot on. Obviously, the cats stole to show tho.
If you’re looking for a lighthearted, cozy, Christmas romance to pick up during the holiday season, I highly recommend picking this up one. I promise you will not regret it!
Thank you so much to Forever Publishing and NetGalley for the e-arc!
Book releases on October 4th so make sure you grab yourself a copy!

This book will definitely help get you in the mood for the holiday season! If you love cats and Christmas and coffee, then this book is for you! Also, it's one of the cutest covers I've ever seen 😍
It was a light and breezy read with sweet meet cute and love story.
I had a few minor annoyances with the MC being a little too petty and rude. Examples include being mad that someone didn't have the lifestyle to adopt a cat (not everyone is cut out for that and that's okay) and going off about how "audiobooks aren't reading". I'm sure that part is going to make a lot of people crazy.
Overall, a fun and easy read, best read by the Christmas tree with a peppermint mocha in hand.
Thank you Forever PUB for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is available for purchase on Oct 4th!

Kara runs a nonprofit cat cafe rescue with her best friend, Charity, but it is not going well. As they enter the Christmas season it may be their first and only as they have more cats needing their new holiday homes than people coming through the door. When Kara, dealing with her own anxieties after being burned by a past lover, has a run in with marketing guru, Ben (also post traumatic break-up,) their countdown to Christmas becomes about saving the cafe, and maybe themselves in the process.
This is an enemies to friends to lovers romance trope that features the cutest cats - a perfect holiday read without being cheesy. The main characters have delicious sexual tension almost from the start, but this is a sweet book not spicy so we get a tease and fade to black scenes. Both main characters are fighting their own issues from previous relationships and family issues that culminates into a romance movie grand gesture and HEA. Supporting characters play a nice role in this story that helps to further the overall storyline and makes a great found family.

This was such a cute, fun story. Rather than a meet-cute, Kara and Ben have a meet-annoyance?
Ben is a marketing professional, new to California, and running from his recent heartbreak and family drama. Kara is a veterinarian and co-owner of a Cat Cafe/Rescue who is trying to avoid drawing attention to herself and inadvertently bringing negative attention to the cafe. In a series of incidental meetings Ben, who doesn't like animals, ends up fostering a troublesome kitten and offering to help Kara and her partner, Charity, amp up their marketing to help bring in the money they need to keep the cafe open and finish building the rescue/medical portion.
I enjoyed the banter between Ben & Kara and how their dislike wasn't overplayed in an attempt to just avoid their clear attraction to each other. The pacing of the story, the character building and the side plots of Ben & his brother and Kara & her ex-fiance made this story a well-rounded read and I will definitely be looking for more stories from this author.
*I received an ARC from NetGalley for voluntary review

I couldn’t really get into this one. I don’t care for either main character, and their connection feels nonexistent. I really only like the cats.

I’ve already finished a few Christmas reads this year and so far this is my favorite!
The book is told from multiple point-of-views and they come from Kara and Ben. It is is told in third person narrative and I liked how it was written. Both Kara and Ben have some baggage that they are still sorting through when fate has them bump into one another. Their first meeting is far from a meet-cute but it was definitely funny and it means that the romance follows the slow-burn trope which I enjoy.
They both have a great friendship with two of the side characters and I liked having those friendships be a big part of the book. Sometimes they tend to be short with little development.
I really liked how the author incorporated all of the adoptable cats in the book by having their bios begin each chapter. It was a fun way to include different parts of the story. I am also a big cat fan so it’s just a really big plus for me, lol. I’ve also always wanted to go to a cat café and so I liked the setting.
The plot is filled with romance, friendships, the negatives and postives of social media, as well as other sorts of topics. Even though there was a lot going on, I didn’t feel like any of them were lacking.
Overall, this was a fun read! I liked the characters and learning about their struggles while finding a way to swim through the mess and find love.

Read this if you like: Opposites attract, enemies to lovers, grumpy grumpy, light fluffy reads, cute cats
Kara is a veterinarian and animal lover. She's opened the Meow and Furrever Cat Café to find loving homes for adorable, adoptable cats and serve good drinks. Things aren't going well because they are getting more cats than customers. If Kara can’t figure out some way to get the café out of the red, it won’t last past the holidays.
Marketing guru Ben is annoyingly smart and frustratingly bossy, but he hatches a plan to put the café in the “green” by Christmas. Kara realizes that she’d be a fool to turn down his help. So what if he turns out to be an excellent problem solver who happens to be nerdy and hot. She needs to keep their relationship professional and focus on saving the cafe.
This is so freaking cute. I love an opposites attract romance and enemies to lovers. There was some good depth to this book and the characters. The people were realistic. I loved the cat illustrations for the chapters. It's an easy read that feels a little young in the writing so it makes for a little fluffy holiday book. I recommend this! This comes out October 4th!
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and Forever Books for the gifted e-book!

Big cat lover here and thought this book was really cute! If you’re looking for a cute, light Christmas romance check this one out.

(3.5/5) Everything I expected this book to be, it was. Cozy Christmas Hallmarky book that’s great for the upcoming holiday season. This book has all the things: grumpy x grumpy, mystery old woman that visits the cafe, we must save this cat cafe/vet clinic by the end of the year, evil ex, etc etc. The pacing was decent and I liked the character growth we experienced for Ben and Kara over the course of the book.
But let’s be honest, the REAL main characters in the book were the sweet cats: the adorable illustrations and blurbs at the beginning of each chapter were one of my favorite parts of this book. Now, what are the chances I can convince my husband to get me a kitten for Christmas??? 🤔🐱

I read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book had more depth to the characters than I was expecting. Kara and Ben really got to know each other and I was happy it wasn't an insta-love story. With the addition of Chaos and realistic best friends, the story was quite entertaining and full of heart. Both main characters had some serious issues to overcome and I appreciated that the drama was sorted easily.
Was a surprising Christmas story, with wonderful feline descriptions.

I loved this sweet story!

This story starts with a meet cute that takes a quick turn. A struggling cat rescue is met by two marketing guys who want to help. Both Kara and Ben have a past neither want to really talk about or face. As their story progresses we see some character growth and so many LOL moments. I literally laughed out loud so much to this book.
This is a great read to get you into the Christmas spirit and the chapter titles cracked me up!

After going on a bit of a thriller binge A Cat Cafe Christmas was the perfect lighthearted pick me up that I needed! As a lover of cats, coffee and books I was absolutely ecstatic when I was approved for this NetGalley request.
Kara Ingalls is nursing her broken heart after her ex stole the information and money of donors who had trusted Kara. She’s hiding out at Meow and Forever the cat cafe she started with her best friend Charity.
Ben Reese never expected his ex-fiancé was in love with his brother but it all happened right in front of him. He’s in Sacramento hoping his family will stop trying to push he and Boone back together.
Kara decided rather quickly that she couldn’t stand Ben, after all, he was the cause of her awful work day. But then Ben comes groveling back with a kitten in tow, and Kara starts to warm up to him. This book was more cute than you could imagine, the descriptions of each cat at the beginning of the chapter were perfection!
A Cat Cafe Christmas was sweet, and wholesome (but a little spicy) and completely adorable. Throw in one crazy kitten named Chaos and this book has everything!
