This is an adorable Christmas romance book. Readers will fall in love with the small town and the cat cafe being run by the veterinarian main character. There are a ton of cats and cat lovers will really love this story because of it. At times I laughed out loud, and at other times I had tears welling in my eyes. A down on his luck reporter and a cafe owner team up and the results are swoonworthy.

Just with the title alone I knew I wanted to read this book. Cat. Café. Christmas. I am there.

It was perfect for the holiday season. Like a well-loved Hallmark movie. Perfectly sweet and a bit cheesy. Overall I really enjoyed this book.

I was pulled in by the cover and the setting. However, I did not end up finishing this one. I like some cozy mysteries but not all of them. I still recommend this one for those who love the genre.

Y'all ever see the title of a book and know it's meant for you?! That's what happened to me with A Cat Cafe Christmas, and I needed this one! If you're a cat lover, snatch this one up asap. I really enjoyed the plot line of converting Ben into a cat lover especially because I mayyy have done this with my husband (this is not an admission of guilt). Also, there's little drawings and descriptions of the cafe's adoptable cats at the beginning of each chapter, and I squealed at every one because it's so precious.

Cats and Christmas together? 😍 I work in veterinary medicine so of course I was very excited for A Cat Cafe Christmas. It was such a treat for me to experience a book that so closely depicts my everyday life (and accurately too!). The cat shenanigans and little kitty “dating profiles” were so cute! However, my favorite part of this book also happens to be why it fell flat for me. I felt as if the cats were the only thing I was attached to with this book. While I liked Kara and Ben, I feel like we only got to know them on the surface. They both have THE most giving hearts, but I didn’t get to know them more than that and I really wanted to. They got along so well as friends and I could feel the trust they built with each other, but there was virtually no chemistry between them. Even closed door romances like this one deserve some tension, magnetic pull, or sparks! All in all, I recommend this for cat-loving readers who enjoy light, small town romances where the underdog wins ❤️

Thank you to Forever, Grand Central Publishing, and Netgalley for the gifted book in exchange for my honest review.

I wanted to like this one more than I actually did. I really appreciated the small town setting and loved the cat cafe. The MMC was really sweet, helpful, and seemed like a decent dude, even if he was a bit too bro-y at the beginning but he grew on me. The FMC was absolutely infuriating. She constantly flew off the chain, belittled those folks closest to her for trying to help when she refused to listen, and acted like a petulant child. I had a lot of trouble tolerating her, and never actually liked her. I really liked how each chapter started with a dating ad-esque write up for the cats in the cafe. That was really clever. I just hated the whole Worthy story-line and thought this novel could've been a lot stronger if it didn't rely upon that.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for a honest review.

The purrrrfect holiday read! I waited to read this until Christmas break and I’m so glad I did. It’s so cozy, cute, and captivating.

I love cats, Christmas, and romance, so I was sold on this book the moment I saw it. I thought A Cat Cafe Christmas was a really cute romance novel, but definitely for PG audiences. It reminded me of a Hallmark movie; cheesy and addicting.

There was one part that killed me though. The main character is from Boston and early on in the book, he has a conversation around the word "pop", explaining that people in Boston refer to soda as pop. I was born & raised in Massachusettes and still live here - we do not call soda "pop".

A holiday romance centered around a cat cafe - what more could you ask for?

I really liked the two main characters Kara and Ben. I love Kara’s chaotic energy, seeing brooding Ben become a cat person and how they healed each other.

I absolutely adores all the kitty descriptions at the beginning of each chapter.

If you’re in the mood for a feel good holiday romance with the cutest kitties, I highly recommend this book.

This book was so precious! It was the sweetest mix of adorable cats, friendship, romance and second chances.

I really loved all the characters in this book, which is rare, and couldn’t get enough of the kitty content😍 I was really able to relate to Kara, so I connected with her character a ton, and Ben was just so sweet. I thought it was so fun that each chapter began with an introduction to a new cat and the end was one of my favorite things I’ve read recently🧡 The whole story was just so wholesome and I had the best time reading it.

This was a perfect read for the holidays, and it was a great way to ring in the new year since it ends on New Years Day!!

If you love cats, Christmas or romance books, I would recommend picking this one up!

Thank you to Net Galley and Codi Gary for the e-arc!

A holiday romance centered around a cat cafe, what is more cozy? Kara and Charity have such a supportive friendship. I really enjoyed reading about them and their quest to run a cat cafe. A new member to town, Ben, offers to assist the Cat Cafe in raising money for their organization. Ben and Kara are complete opposites and this is one of my favorite romance tropes! I loved that each chapter started with a description of the cats in the cafe ready for adoption. They had fun holiday names. Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

DNF at 17%. I don’t give star ratings for DNF, but NetGalley makes you select stars. I just couldn’t get into it, and I didn’t like how it was 3rd person POV.

I listened to this one on audiobook. The narrators voices where not the best. The Boston one- was horrible. Also the leads in this were both hard to like- I couldn't really get into this one even though it was cute idea/plot. The flow was off as in the middle was rough.

I wanted to like this so much since it features two of my favorite things— cats and Christmas. The romantic leads were strange, unlikeable people and behaved in erratic ways. For example, the female lead, who runs the cat cafe, essentially forces the male lead to foster a kitten even though he has never had a pet. Likewise, the male lead meets a lady, determines she’s helpless and replaces all her pipes two days after meeting her. The dialogue was cringy and strange. I did enjoy the blurbs of the cats.

This was genuinely such a cute book. I loved the romance and the progression of the two characters and their storyline as well as their romance. Also it had cats so what more could you want?

This was such a sweet, lighthearted swoonworthy second chance romance, where opposite attract.

A sweet holiday romance filled with kitties too.
Also who doesn’t love a broody male love interest?

Kara Ingalls is exhausted and heartbroken after giving her heart and password unprotected computer to her fraud fiancée who embezzled the charity funds. She opens a cat cafe with her best friend, hoping to give cats loving homes but instead finds herself in some pretty deep financial trouble.
In walks Ben Reese, hater of cats with brilliant marketing ideas to help her turn her business around.
This was super cute! I loved the combo of Christmas and Cats.

My Rating: 3.5 stars

A Cat Cafe Christmas is told from two points of view of both Kara and Ben. We get to see Kara open up this cat cafe with her best friend and we get to see her be passionate about helping cats and the community around her at the same time. She is also recovering from the big loss of having her reputation ruined due to her ex-fiance using her to get what he wanted and because of that, she is rather closed off. Ben on the other hand is starting out a new life after his brother and his ex-fiance decided to get married and betrayed him in his opinion. He is now in the area working and fixing up a house to maybe stay in. Kara and Ben meet because Ben finds a Kitten by chance and needs help with it as he has no idea what to do. With some convincing Kara is able to get him to foster the Kitten until she can find it a forever come. Let me tell you this Kitten is so chaotic and just wonderful at the same time because of his antics and how he keeps them on their toes.

Overall I did enjoy this read. It was interesting to see both characters grow and learn from each other. They both learned to trust a little bit again and believe that there are good people out there after everything they had been through. Granted Kara had been through far more than Ben had, considering all that her ex did to her reputation. I loved how at the start of each chapter we got a little blurb about one of the cats that were up for adoption. The side characters were great as well and I loved how close they were to each of the main characters while being supportive also pushed them in the direction that would help out the main characters the most.

If you are looking for a fun read that also covers a serious topic of public opinion then this is the book for you.

My only complaint with this book, is I felt like it could have been shorter, it did drag a little bit at times because of how slow they were taking things. Was that slowness needed, yes but it was also a bit frustrating considering they were missing out on so much from each other and those around them because of the slowness.

Cats, Christmas and Love? Read this! I love any romance with a coffee shop or book store setting, and this fit the bill perfectly. I feel like you can read this in the fall or around Christmas, because the story has both Thanksgiving and Christmas! Truly a perfect read for the holiday months.

Thank you #netgalley for an early read of #acatcafechristmas
