This novel is about a courtesan sent to distract and temp the dragon King at all costs to bring the dragon king to his demise. It was quite the fascinating and intriguing novel. Little did Nia know that the Dragon King would be responsible for making powerful feelings arise in her. The dragon king also brings Nia to realize that she hasn't been living to her potential, or in other terms 'thriving'. Nia takes a stand for the sake of her city, with the dragon king standing by her and backing her up.

I thoroughly enjoyed the creativity and imagination of the content within this novel and its ability to keep my interest piqued in it whilst looking forward to one page after another.
I personally found this novel to be intriguing while keeping me captivated enough to have me finish the novel within a day.
I highly recommend you to read this novel so that you can experience the engaging content and the atmosphere you experience when your mind visualizes the setting of this novel. When the novel truly connects with its audience, it has the ability to have you swept up in it. So much so, that it's easy to lose track of time, That is what position I found myself in, I must applaud and congratulate the author on an amazing novel of this caliber.

ARC received for review

DNF

This is the first book by Ms. Grant that I have DNF'ed. I love her books, but this one I was bored and don't care to finish it.

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 4th in a series, and I don't believe I have read them all. For me, I just couldn't connect with the characters. Nia and Shaw are interesting but I just didn't get the vibes. This one was not for me for some reason, as I usually really enjoy her books. Maybe it was my mood. 3 stars I would still recommend this author and this series, and I will keep reading her books.

Another entertaining adventure with the dragon kings on Zora. Shaw is tasked with a mission to get into Stonemore and find the Divine and learn as many secrets as he can. Nia is tasked to seduce a dragon king and bring him before the Divine. And so their adventure begins. Passion ensues. Truths are revealed. And a battle to survive takes place that forces both of them to realize that their ruse isn’t a ruse. The divine is definitely getting more interesting as an adversary. There is more going on at the citadel then originally thought and war is coming. Fun read, great characters, and the big picture is developing nicely. I look for add to more.

Well I have to start by saying I am a total sucker for dragon stories and especially D.G. books. This was an awesome read, from the beginning your pulled into her story and I’m hooked and on her side. You see where this is going and I’m glued to every page, because as a reader you think you know what’s going to happen next and this author throws a twist in and I’m taping my eyes open to see where we go next. I enjoyed their sexy chemistry and the story that goes along with it. There’s a few side characters that come around from others books but in no way makes you feel like you’ve missed something by not reading a series in order.

DG has gotten in with this one. I'm fully in on this new world and DG is proving again (just like iwht the Dark King books) we are along for the ride, battling unknown foes, learning about new magical beings...it's all so delicious.

Def recommend this one and will continue on with the series!

Shaw is sent to find out information about Stonemore’s leader and how things are run along with his fellow dragon. He’s about to find more than he bargained for. Shaw’s determined not to fall in love because he thinks it makes one weak and vulnerable. Nia has lived her whole life in Stonemore. She’s become the favorite courtesan of the city’s leader. Nia is sent on a mission to find a dragon king in their midst and make him fall in love with her. When Shaw and Nia meet it’s attraction at first sight, but secrets and warring missions just may tear these two apart. They’ll have to decide if love is worth the risk.

Dragon Eternal is Donna Grant’s fourth book in the Dragon King series. A man who thinks that love is a weakness must decide if he’ll take a risk on the one thing he doesn’t want to do, fall in love. A woman who has grown up just surviving her circumstances must learn to let go and trust a complete stranger who everyone in her city fears. As these two people get to know each other and the attraction gets stronger, they’ll realize that they aren’t as different as they thought they are. Dragon Eternal is a story with drama, tension, attraction and suspense, The reader wonders what will happen between the main characters and if the secrets they’re keeping from each other will tear them apart or bring them closer together. Will they find out the information each was sent on the mission to get. A show down just may result in war and can they survive the showdown. Dragon Eternal by Donna Grant takes two people who never thought they’d find love just may find it in each other and make their dreams come true. Lives are forever changed as they find that love isn’t as out of reach as they thought. Donna Grant even leaves the reader with a cliff hanger on what is going on with the second dragon king sent in and the idea that another member of the dragon king family is coming to help. A must read for Grant fans along with the people into the Dragon King series.

While I really enjoyed Shaw and Nia, there is a lot going on in this story, so buckle up. I really enjoyed it, as we are discoving more about Zora. We get some new curve balls for our Kings so I'm very interested in seeing what is going to happen next.

I loved this book so much. The Dragon Kings are still trying to find the new threat that has been attacking them. Shaw and another King are sent to Stonemore to gather information. Nia is tasked with bringing one of the Kings to the Divine. The first one she meets is Shaw. I love these characters and love watching them fall in love.

What a good read! Shaw is a dragon king. When he and his friend are sent on a mission to find out whose killing children of magic, he doesn’t only find a killer but finds a woman like no other! He’s sworn to never fall in love, but why does it have to be love!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own

Arrogant dragon, strong-willed slave looking for freedom, spies everywhere, and of course corrupt leaders and potential war! Let's add in some purposeful seduction that kind of backfires, and it's an entertaining and fast-paced read. Fun alone, but part of a series if you want more.

I definitely wasn't expecting this story to play out the way it did! Nia's life has never been her own, she has been enslaved since was a child. She does what she is told in order to survive all while dreaming of her freedom. And when she is offered the chance to have her freedom, she will do what she must in order to get it. Shaw knows what his mission is-find the Divine and figure out her plans for Zora and all the dragons. When he see's Nia, he thinks she may be his way in to find out. And if he can enjoy her in the meantime, he finds nothing wrong with that. But after spending time together, they both find out more about not only each other but themselves. And Nia realizes that it is time for her to stand for what is right vs just trying to survive.

I really enjoyed this story. Nia is definitely not the character I was expecting but that is, honestly, a good thing. She isn't the normal female that needs rescuing, although she does. But she is a survivor and does what she must to survive in a world that is brutal to it's women and children, or anyone who is different. She is strong with this giant heart that she hides to try to keep herself safe. I absolutely loved her for her being different! Shaw I was slightly iffy about just because he seemed so judgmental at times. But I think it's just because it's a different place and different from how he knows the world to be. Once he starts knowing Nia and interacting with her more, I started liking him more. There are a couple of things that I was confused about-the kids, I know there is a big storyline on how the kids are coming to be there and none are born there. But how does Nia remember a brother and sister if they weren't born there? Did her parents just suddenly have more kids show up or take them from somewhere? I am a little lost over that. And after the epilogue-I have so many more questions that I need answers to!! I can't wait to keep reading in this series to hopefully get those answers!

We’re still on Zora, still trying to hunt down the threat to dragons in this world, so if none of that make sense to you, I’d recommend starting at least a full book or two before this one. Since this is the spinoff of another series that includes some spinoffs of its own, there is a lot of character and world building prior to this that may be rolled into my enjoyment of this one.

Shaw is the broody one (which is saying something when I’m pretty sure all the dragon kings are broody). He agrees to “infiltrate” the human kingdom to try to find their invisible enemy. This kingdom is all sorts of wrong. There is an extreme class system that is determined and ruled by “the Divine.” It’s implied that this person/thing/whatever will be the big bad, but we do not get any such straightforward resolution in this single book. Instead, we follow the story of Nia. She was a starving orphan until the Divine decided she should serve court. After some horrible darkness, she ends up as a courtesan, tasked with getting secrets out of folks. It’s in this role that she is sent after Shaw.

Fate has different plans for these two, however. They are draw to each other without the additional subterfuge they are tasked with. While we get some good happily ever after for these two, it’s almost like we took one step forward and two steps back in the overall story. I can’t wait to see what happens to Shaw’s partner and his journey, which I assume is the next book in this tale.

I'm totally rating up on this one because I'm incredibly intrigued by the extremely complex world that Grant has created and the many pieces she has on the board at any one time.
The main couple of Shaw and Nia make a compelling but predictable couple where every action they take is as obvious as possible and slightly clichéd, making for a story that lagged a bit when the action was focused on them. The challenges they faced never felt like enough of a threat because Shaw is so powerful and Nia so obviously not going to get hurt. So while it was nice to see them get together, it was both too easy and too fast for any real emotional connection.
The world itself on the other hand was the main reason why I kept reading and why I'm definitely going back and reading more of this series. It's complex and original while still relying heavily on the tropes and themes familiar to any fantasy reader, thus making it both a comfort read and an exciting one.
It's the complexity that I keep raving about that might explain why I had trouble getting into Shaw's and Nia's story. I spent so much time trying to figure out the world that I couldn't give as much care to the love story being told. So it might be a case of this being one of those series where you can't jump in with any book and have to already be familiar with the world/previous books before fully enjoying subsequent volumes.

Happy thanks to NetGalley and DL Grant, LLC for the enticing read!

I read a lot of books from the dragons but this was for me nothing special Both Nia and Shaw are ok but their story is nothing really remarkable and doesn't make a trace. There are things that are intriguing enough to keep me reading the series.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley

Thank you DL Grant LLC and Netgalley for providing my copy and my thoughts are my own.

This is my first read from author and number 4th in the series. Off course I kinda blind with the worldbuilding and various other characters whom make appearanced in this book make me kinda overwhelming. But I will tried to be fair and make my opinion based in main pair characters, narrate stye and the plotline.

With minimum information about Zora and Stonemore, both place still very intriguing for me. Nia instantly drawing my attention with her classic beauty, ladylike soft and sweet appeared. It is so nice to see diversity about definition "strong female lead". She got inner strength and prove reader that become strong not meaning only about physical combats. Shawn, I actually will need read the previous book to get depth about his characters.

The narrate style is enjoyable and captivating. The author give enough premise about war and politics, strong relationship and beautiful romance. I found out the story still easy to follow even when you not any book in this series.

This is book 4 in the Dragon Kings series and it is easy to follow even if you are behind in the series, but I recommend you read them all because you get spoilers of previous books.

Anyway, this book was such a fast read for me because I just didn't want to put it down. The story is fantastic and I have just been loving the world-building so much.

Dragon Eternal book #4 in the Dragon Kings series was a fabulous fantasy read full of emotion, treachery, love and adventure as Dragon King Shaw who has been avoiding love in his life suddenly has his beliefs turned upside down by Nia a slave of the Divine.
In the mortal realm of Stonemore where Shaw’s mission begins the ability to perform magic is cause for execution and the Dragon Kings mean to root out Stonemore’s leader and the new invisible enemy that threatens their own realm of Zora and its people.
Intrigue, suspense, and passionate love populate the pages of this very well written narrative which reveals its secrets one surprise at a time. Totally riveting and immersive I really enjoyed the journey
I took along with the wonderfully crafted characters that made this story such a mesmerizing read.
