A masterpiece of a novel, scripted to perfection. The world-building and characters are amazingly intricate, pulling the reader right into the story. I find myself unable to put this book down, as I desperately turn pages to follow the stories of the courageous characters. I can't wait to read the Sun and its Shade next.

This book was absolutely fantastic. I savored the first half of the book, slowly reading it to take it all in, but after part two, I devoured the book. I couldn’t put it down.

You could see the influences she took inspiration from based on her content. Her writing was some of the best writing I’ve read in a really long time.

Nox and Amaris were such enticingly written characters, along with all the side characters. The world building of Farehold and the different peoples was just fantastic. Every name, every characteristic, everything had a purpose or meaning in this book.

If you like friends to lovers, fated mates, found family, queer representation, high fantasy, fantastic world building, pick up a copy of Piper’s debut novel. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the series is about. And I definitely can’t wait to see how she grows as an author.

I will be preordering a physical copy. You won’t be sorry if you do as well.

This book has everything I love. Action, romance, creativity and incredible worldbuilding. It’s
absolutely a passion project with a very loved story and exactly what I've been wanting in a good fantasy book for
ages. This has everything I love on a modern fantasy author with the things I've always found missing from the most popular books out there. I look forward to the rest of
the series with eager anticipation.
