A second girl from the gang introduced in the first book becomes the focal point, and she has her own set of problems. It is, basically, more of the same, which is fine but did not move me very much.

Thoughts: I feel like if all the stories about the girls in this series were in one book, it'd work alot better. While I really enjoyed it, it mostly felt really disjointed and like stuff was missing because it was in other volumes. I loved having a diverse cast of girls, queer, POC and disabled, but I don't feel like I got to know any of them deeply enough

I loved this!!! As a former high school french student, this graphic novel was so much fun to read and easy to understand! The story was engaging all the way through and it was so much fun to follow Paloma around with these crazy missions! I would definitely recommend this graphic novel series to everyone!

I didn't know this was the second book in the series when I requested the book but I was able to follow the storyline just fine. I liked the book but wouldn't read it again. I rated this book 4 stars. Thank you to Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the second volume of (I think) a 5 volume graphic novel series. Each graphic novel focuses on one member of the group and this time the focus was on Celeste. Celeste is a self-hating young girl who is being bullied at school and has been receiving abusive texts from 3 unknown phone numbers. With the help of her friends, she stops the harassment and moves into a healthier, safer environment.

I loved the art style and the warm colour palette. It has a nice diverse cast of girls who create a safe space with each other. I absolutely loved the storyline in this. It was very sad, and I cried multiple times. Celeste’s issues are very sad but I also cried learning about Adrian’s past as I was a foster child myself. I can’t wait for the rest of the series to come out, I anticipate they will all be very good and I look forward to owning physical copies!

When I read volume one of this graphic novel series I was blown away. I absolutely fell in love with the story of a girl finding her way through the foster system. That girl was Paloma and she does make an appearance in volume two, but this time the reader follows Celeste. Celeste lives in a dark world. She is constantly being in harassed in person and online. The group of misfit girls are not going to let her be alone. They are going to help find who’s harassing her and make it stop! This book looks at not only a tight friendship group, but things in families that are sometimes complicated. I still really love this series and can’t wait to see the next book. I’m really interested to read Apple‘s book, because she’s got some interesting hang-ups on relationships. I can’t wait to see what book 3 will be about.

Quando descobrimos quem é o autor delas, o leitor fica indignado e, claro, isso causa revolta.

É uma leitura bem rápida. Vale a pena dar uma chance.

I definitely loved the illustrations and the colouring. They're expressive and poignant. I enjoyed the girls' friendship and the way they support each other. I'll definitely read the previous one and the ones to come!

The first volume managed a very interesting psychological story in a very concise space, so I was rather intrigued by this second volume and wondered where it would go this time. And it did not disappoint.
Each volume delves into the deep psychological suffering of a teen girl and their tragic past and how they can step out of it and finally take a breath of air and live.
Once again a very good story for so little pages and minimalist style.
An impressive feat!
I definitely recommend the series and will continue reading it with high interest.

Volume 2 of Misfits Club for Girls, and while it does have a closer look at Celeste, it's about all the girls as they develop this friendship. Honestly, this series gives me an eerie feeling, rather than a sense of camaraderie and friendship. It seems like a great thing that these girls are working together to create connections and bonds, but I am terrified where this is going to go. I'm glad that Palmona and Celeste have gotten help in volume 1 and 2, but I'm not sure how the rest of the series is going to go. I want to read them all, but as an adult I am worried for the rest of the characters. This is not a lighthearted happy collection, this is a dark and intense series. I loved the art style and enjoyed the monochromatic style that is given to Celeste while everyone else is filled with light and color. It fits perfectly.

I loved this graphic novel! It shows a great message and I love when books have a good all girl friendship!! They’re all there for each other and I’m guessing that each graphic novel will focus on each person in the group so I can’t wait to read more!!

Why does the author use the d slur so much? It was used in the first volume and now in this volume. At least it wasn't by a main character this time but still, not needed!

I really like the girls and how they're growing and figuring things out. The art is great again and I do want to read more. Just no more d slur.

The Misfits Club for Girls, Vol. 2 by BeKa and Camille Méhu is a YA graphic novel that will appeal to fans of Nimona or Sailor Moon. The story revolves around Celeste, a quiet girl who is being bullied by text messages and in real life by boys at her school. Can the Misfits Club for Girls help Celeste to stop her bullies? According to the description, what the club "finds out comes as a shock nobody could have possibly anticipated…"

Overall, The Misfits Club for Girls, Vol. 2 is a lovely YA graphic novel about girls' friendships and empowerment. One highlight of this book is the artwork. During the normal parts, it reminded me of Studio Ghibli-esque visuals. Then, during Celeste's dream sequences, the artwork morphs into a darker, grittier style. It really helped illustrate Celeste's mindset when she is being bullied. I took off 1 star, because I wish the book were longer than 60 pages. If you're intrigued by the description, or if you're a fan of graphic novels in general, I recommend that you check out this book, which is available now!

I didn't read the first volume, but I definitely understand what happened. On the other hand, I really liked the group of friends, so far I don't have a favorite one, because they are all special and with different personalities that complement each other very well to challenge the world.

In this volume, we get more into Celeste's life and we also learn more about why she has such a withdrawn personality, and it definitely has a good plot-twist that reminded me of another book (which I obviously won't mention because it would be a spoiler).

On the other hand, the CHELONIA thing OMG, I want to know more, tremendous twist that the author gave to us about her story.

Shy, withdrawn, bullied Celeste is getting nasty text messages that shatter her sense of self-worth. She already thinks so very little of herself and even though she belongs to the Misfits Club for Girls, she doubts they see her or care about her. But when her fellow club members find out she is being bullied, they band together to find out who is sending the texts and help Celeste see she is worth so much more than she thinks.
This is book 2 in a series that will have 5 volumes. I didn't catch Vol 1 but that did not interfere with the enjoyment of reading Celeste.
The story is well written and the illustrations are very well done. Enjoyed this a lot and will be looking out for the other girl's stories.

Even though i havent read the first book in this series, it was easy to keep track of the events, the characters and their dynamics. the pace felt like it was rushed somehow; everything happened so fast. the characters were relatable, i could understand how her friends got frustrated on her behalf because id do the same for my friends and i liked how each one got her own personality and yet they fit so good together. Celeste were.. relatable more than id like to admit. i even got why her parents acted the way they did.

A beautiful graphic comic! The illustrations were simply amazing and i love how each character had a different style to suit themselves. The theme of women empowering and helping each other was chefs kiss. Overall i rate it 3.5 stars its a cute quick read. I read volume 1 before reading this and can't wait to read the rest.

I went straight to volume two without having read volume one - which I definitely will be going back and doing! I really liked the illustration style and set of interesting characters and would love to read more to see each character's story. I don't believe it is completely necessary to read these in order, as it seems that each volume focuses on one of the main characters of the group.

A group of high school aged girls all have problems, but they are there for each other and to solve those problems as best they can. This time we focus on Celeste and the bullying she has been experiencing via text messages.

I thoroughly enjoyed this comic. Each character has a distinct and developed personality, from the way they dress to what they say. The artwork clearly reflects the emotion of the situation, especially when all color fades when Celeste is being bullied. I am definitely interested in reading other comics in the series.

I loved the first book of the series and this one didn't disappoint! Loved seeing the girls again and that ending!! Can't wait to read more of the series and the personal development each of the girls go though.
