I’m generally not a fan of novellas, because I always want a longer story. But these three authors make novellas come alive for compact, exciting and intricate reads. And readers get to see more of their favorite characters. And it’s in one volume, so you get all three stories. Annnnd you won’t want to miss out!

In On the Run by Lynette Eason, readers get more Daria Nevsky! She first appears in Vow of Justice, and eventually works for the FBI as an analyst. Except she’s now a target. Her past comes back to haunt her as someone with ties to her criminal father surface and she goes on the run. After an accident, she winds up in the hospital where she meets Dr. Ryker Donahue (remember him from Hostile Intent?) Ryker refuses to let Daria be alone in her plight and helps to keep her safe while she puts the pieces together to discover why she’s the target. You can’t beat the action and suspense in this story right from page one.

In Deadly Objective, Lynn H. Blackburn tells the story of Emily Dixon (Gil is her brother from Malicious Intent.) Emily is a physical therapist that is assigned to work with the vice president’s son. Secret Service Agent Liam Harper is also assigned to the vice president’s son and intervenes when the family is attacked. I love the chemistry between the two main characters as they try to get to know each other while surrounded by danger on all sides.

In Caught in the Crosshairs, Natalie Walters gives Claudia Gallegos the spotlight. Her sister is Pecca Gallegos from Silent Shadows. Claudia is a CIA agent, but things go awry when she walks in on the murder of a foreign dignitary. Ari Blackman is a colleague in the CIA assigned to help her, but Claudia isn’t one to trust anyone, let alone Ari with the reputation for being a bit of a player. But Ari manages to save her life on more than one occasion and gradually works his way into her heart. Plenty of action and suspense blends nicely with the romance to make this a fantastic story.

Be sure to check out Targeted to get three amazing stories filled with action, suspense, and heart.

Targeted is a collection of 3 novellas from authors Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn and Natalie Walters. Until this book, I had not read any works by any of these ladies, though I had heard good things about them all. Well I’m here to say, they are even better than I expected.

Their stories were all action-packed, keeping me turning the page for the next explosion or round of bullets or car chase. And they were all very well versed in the technical aspects of weapons, agent jargon and general law enforcement routines. I was highly impressed by all 3 writers literary prowess and I’m so looking forward to reading more from each one of them.

"Targeted" has three romantic suspense novellas. There was no sex or bad language. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable suspense collection.

"On the Run" continues Daria's story. Yay! She has to survive while figuring out why the bad guys are after her. She knows of Ryker, and he helps her. The focus was on the suspense, and the romance was sort of, "oh, and they fell in love." They worked well together, appreciated the other's abilities, and Ryker challenged Daria to accept help from her friends rather than trying to do it all on her own (even as capable as she is).

"Deadly Objective" put two opposites together, yet they worked well together. Liam loves the outdoors; Emily likes high civilization. They both love to read and can deal with the difficult VP's son. When the VP's family is targeted, they take the son on a remote camping trip thinking it might be safer for him. Emily takes it all with a good attitude. Liam see her worth and admires her. They both use their unique abilities to help protect the VP's son. Fun.

"Caught in the Crosshairs" started off with Ari being sent to confirm that Claudia didn't kill the prince since she broke protocol by going to the prince's house. They help solve why the prince asked for her help and who killed him. She's repeatedly attacked by the bad guys, so Ari helps protect her. Claudia's challenged to look past his good-looks and skilled agent reputation and get to know the real man. She's also reluctant to get into a relationship since it'd add more loved ones that can be used against her. But Ari is very good looking and nice... I suppose Ari's interested in her because she didn't immediately fall under his charm?

It is action packed, thrilling and romantic.

What a great collection of stories! I enjoyed each one! All three ladies are leaders of the Christian fiction suspense genre. Each story is a stand alone novella. I think each could be read in about an hour. I particularly enjoyed Deadly Objective.

It's about Emily who is a physical therapist to the vice president's son. While she is working with him, someone sets off a bomb. From then on, Emily is bounced around with the teenager under the protection of Special Agent Liam Harper. Liam has been attracted to Emily for some time, but she keeps pushing him away. He sees this time with her as an opportunity to convince her they would be happy together. They must work together to find out why someone would target a teenager.

For anyone who enjoys suspense with a light romance and light Christianity, you will like the three stories in Targeted.

This was a fun romantic suspense novella collection! My one complaint about romantic suspense novellas is that due to the shortness of the story, the romance always feels a bit rushed. The authors did a good job with this, but it still felt rushed to me, as is the nature of the beast. I otherwise thoroughly enjoyed the plot line and mystery for each of these stories. Though I've not read the other series books of Eason or Blackburn, I was able to keep up with each of them; however, I got the feeling I was missing a bit of history, so I think a richer experience is had if you've read other books in each author's series, but it's not essential. I have read all of Natalie Walters' books, though, and it was good to visit some of my "old friends" from her Harbored Secrets series (her story could also stand alone, though - it's just made richer if you know the history of some of the side characters).

Each story had its own unique tale and there was nothing that really pulled them together, so it was easy to take a break between them when my schedule dictated it. The first story was about an FBI agent whose biological father was associated with the mafia. When she's targeted, she has reason to believe that her dead father is somehow connected. She has to figure out how and put a stop to it before she is taken out, or those around her are hurt. The second story is about a secret service agent tasked with keeping the Vice President's son safe, as well as the physical therapist who is helping that same son through an injury. They're together when the VP's home is attacked and they have to work together to not only help keep the family safe, but figure out who is behind the attacks and why. The third story is about a CIA agent who has been called by a foreign royal who is in the States urgently asking for help. When she arrives to assist and finds a grisly scene, she's put in the crosshairs as well. And the agent sent to see if she's involved is the only one who can seemingly help her.

I enjoyed all of the characters in the stories as well as the story lines. The faith thread was more subtle in all of these stories - in large part because they were novellas, I assume. The mysteries and suspense elements kept me turning pages and though the romance moved too quickly for me in each story, it was not overly mushy and was therefore palatable. All in all, this was a collection I would recommend to fans of romantic suspense.

Special thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for an advance e-copy of this collection. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

On the Run by Lynette Eason
A quick romantic suspense about Daria who is the daughter of a Russian mob boss who's father's past comes back to haunt her. Her father has been dead for 7 years, but after a break in near her old home and an intruder at her house, Daria is on the run from the guys who used to work for her dad. Will she be able to stay on the run and outrun them? Will she put those she loves in danger?
5/5

Deadly Objective by Lynn H. Blackburn

Emily's regular physical therapy session with the VP's son Mason turns into anything but that when an explosion happens at the VP's home. Thrust together with Mason and SS agent Liam, Emily has to step outside her comfort zone in order to stay safe and help keep Mason feel safe. Will the forced togetherness finally lead to something more with Liam (despite Emily's reservations)?
5/5

The Crosshairs by Natalie Walters
When CIA Agent Claudia ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time (the home of a murdered Saudi prince), she becomes stuck in the crosshairs. CIA PSYOP Agent Ari is sent to investigate and see if Claudia is hiding anything about her connection to the Saudi prince. Ari doesn't trust her and ends up saving her life more than once. As Ari and Claudia work together to try to solve the murder there preconceived notions and walls slowly get broken down. Will they catch the bad guys before they catch her?

"Targeted" is a collection of 3 novellas from some of my favorite authors! All of the books.involve characters from previous novels of Lynette Eason, Lynn Blackburn and Natalie Walters. I loved all of these books. I couldn't pick a favorite! All of the books have mystery, twists and a little romance. I highly recommend this novel!

I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

I enjoy reading full length novels but with three of my favorite authors in this collection of novellas, I had to read Targeted. These stories are action packed and suspenseful with swoon worthy romance between great characters, including some from the FBI, Secret Service, and CIA. We also get visits from characters from prior novels in all three of these fun stories. It is always a wild ride with danger, mystery, suspense, romance, and faith interspersed with these go to for me authors. In my opinion, the stories are all standalone but having read the others, I knew the stories of the past characters. Highly recommended for those who enjoy romantic suspense with a faith thread.

On the Run Lynette Eason
We’ve met Daria briefly in the Extreme Measures series. This is her story. We start out running with a breakin and minor chase, where Daria gets injured, drives to a hospital where she’s stitched up and winds up with someone finding her there. Ryker is the doctor that treats her and insists on going with her on the run, to figure out who’s after her. We see many familiar names in this story as is progresses. For the backstory on Daria, read Vow of Justice.
Deadly Objective Lynn Blackburn
Emily, Liam, Mason Lawson are the primary characters in this story. Liam is Mason’s prime secret service agent and Emily is his physical therapist. Attacks on the 2nd family lead to a short trip while Liam tries to keep Mason and Emily safe.
Caught in the Crosshairs Natalie Walter
Claudia gets a call for help and walks into a murder scene, which puts her under the internal investigation of the CIA, her employer. The person sent to see if she’s loyal is Ari. As attempts are made on Claudia’s lives and leads dry up, these two stay busy trying to find the killer, not be killed and protect the lives of any leads they find.

On The Run by Lynette Eason
I loved this fast paced thrill ride featuring one of the most memorable side characters from previous books, Daria Nevsky. The action was non stop and the intensity was high and the romance aspect was perfect for the situation and characters! This novella was well paced and I didn’t feel cheated out of story for the amount of pages we were given! I really enjoyed every action filled minute!

Deadly Objective by Lynn Blackburn
This story did not disappoint! This was exactly the kind of story I think of when I hear a plot involves the Secret Service! The danger was unpredictable and the romance was a perfect blend of sarcasm and banter! The characters personality really shines through in the dialogue and pair that with some intense danger and you have a story they keeps me turning the pages! I really loved this story and could not get enough of Liam, Emily and also Mason!

Caught in the Crosshairs by Natalie Walters
Action, chemistry, and banter! Oh my! I could not get enough of this feisty duo! This story was everything I wanted it to be! Danger at each turn and a sarcastic one liner to follow! Natalie Walters did a great job of drawing me in as a reader to this plot, while delivering action and an absolutely enticing budding romance between Ari and Claudia. My only complaint is wanting more of this story because I was totally loving the chemistry between Ari and Claudia and I would have read 100 more pages!

I loved re-visiting characters from previous novels. I knew all of them from each author. I loved all the stories in this book.. On the Run, Deadly Objective and Caught In the Crosshairs are all full of action, wonderful characters, suspense, a touch of romance, and inspirational.

A fast paced read! I thought it was very clever to do three novellas like that and put them all together!

I don’t usually choose compilations of short stories because I like to immerse myself in a book, but I enjoyed this group of stories from some of the most popular Christian romantic suspense authors right now. Main characters Daria, Emily, and Claudia all had targets on their heads and they had to work with their partners to figure out why. Of course, the touch of romance that was weaved throughout the stories was just right.

This was a page turner read for, like M & M's, I couldn't stop at one, I was quickly at the next!

These are really great Christian Suspense, which I love, and from three of my go to authors!

Each read had me wondering whom would survive, and holding my breath as the danger and action increased, and looking for answers. Each story also gives a bit of sweet romance, and then I really wanted to continue on with their lives! If you enjoy good clean suspense, this is a really great book!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Revell, and was not required to give a positive review.

Targeted has three great novellas in one book. Two of the authors are favorites of mine with the third easily becoming a new favorite author. Each story successfully gives the right balance of romance and suspense. Each story can be read as a stand-alone but they also revisit characters from other stories. I always enjoy reconnecting with “friends” from other books. I highly recommend this book and these three authors!

All three of these books were good! Typically a collection seems to have a dud. There were no duds here. All three were engaging from page one and had good character development and storylines even within the constraints of a novella. It was fun to follow the story of characters I'd met in previous series, too!

I follow the GoodReads rating system (3=good, 5=phenomenal + life changing) not the Amazon one (only 5 is acceptable.)

I received a complimentary copy from the publisher through NetGalley. I was not required to give a positive review.

These novellas each have a short story packed with action, suspense, and romance. The great news is that all three of them have an interesting plot and what you expect to read in Christian romantic suspense. The main characters face a very dangerous, life threatening circumstance and rely on their faith to help them in their time of trouble.

Don't have time for a full length novel? No problem! Read one of these stories, but I bet you won't be able to stop once you begin! I recommend reading this anthology to all. These stories contain characters from other series, but can be read as a standalone. I was not familiar with all of the authors and did not feel like I needed to know details from their previous books in order to enjoy each of these stories.

I received a complimentary copy of the book from Revell through NetGalley. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.

Anyone who loves a romantic thrill ride will love these three stories in this anthology set. I loved each of the stories. I couldn't put them down. I went from one to the other. Y'all! You could literally read one story a night. Each of the stories had a perfect amount of romance and suspense to keep me turning the pages.

A five-star romantic suspense has to have a good balance of the romance and the suspense; this book of novellas by some of my favorite authors in the genre did a great job including plenty of heart flutters and sweet kisses while putting the characters into predicaments that kept me reading.

I absolutely love Lynn H. Blackburn, and especially appreciated that she included a beloved character from an earlier book in the series (this novella is considered book 2.5) getting married! She also threw in a twist I did not see coming and absolutely loved. Gil's twin sister Emily has her hands full with the dashing Secret Service agent trying to keep her safe.

Natalie Walters does high-level agency suspense so well, and the story of Claudia and Ari is perfect if you love her SNAP agency series. Being caught on the wrong side of a murder--especially of a Saudi prince--isn't an everyday event. Natalie does characters so well--they're just so fun to read no matter what situations she puts them in.

Lynette Eason more new to me; I've only read one or two of her other books. This was right up my alley; the woman being the hacker was fun and for her to also be the one with the target on her back made for an interesting read. I've already got another novella compilation that includes Lynette on my TBR thanks to reading this!
