a very interesting and enjoyable read!

i love the separation and pining between Ryan and Bardulf. i love the alpha-alpha dynamic here. it was really cool and unique about the pregnancy too. and the chemistry between them both AAAA so spicy!!!!!

i didn't like how it ended.... it felt so abrupt omg. also the coming out and fans reactions was abit unrealistic and too accepting? i also wish we got more wolves interaction between them both.

i will definitely continue this series. :)

This was an amazing story with tons of characters you can easily relate to. Really glad that Netgalley allowed me to read this for free. But now that I have I am following the author cause I really want to read more from them. So the plot is slow but not snail slow but story building and allowing it as it unveils itself to grab you and drag you into the story. Once you are invested in this you will want to see it till the end. I also enjoyed the few werewolf things we all know were there, but some were shown as something different or were done differently, which was very interesting. There was never a point in this story I was bored. The only question I need to be answered is if The rest of the band gonna be werewolves or are they gonna be human?

A nice book to read by the pool, the characters had a good chemistry and the story was decently fleshed and engaging.

I just can't get on board. It doesn't seem to be very thought out and bounced all over the place.

Very enjoyable M/M romance.
Set on tour with Ryan who is a lead singer/ Guitarist in a family rock band.
Ryan falls for Barfulf a shifter who is doing his youngest sister a favour by claiming her contest winnings, kissing Ryan is the prize.

These two have great chemistry and characters in this book are great.
I very much look forward to reading about the rest of the family.

I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

Thank you to Netgalley and Erin M. Leaf for this ARC.

My favourite troupe is MM romance and when I read the description I knew I was going to really like it. I mean what's not to love about two seriously hot fated mates alpha's. I give this book a 4.5⭐️ I was a little surprised about the twist near the end (read to found out) but this book was a deliciously smutty MM book that I recommend.

I think overall, this short and sweet shifter romance was just what I needed. Likeable characters, an adorable meet cute, rock band antics, and queer werewolves—what more could anyone want for a lazy Sunday afternoon read?
I will say that in terms of books, this is popcorn. It’s not overly dramatic or serious, despite touching on a few serious topics. Mostly it is just concerned with being fun and entertaining. My favourite aspect of Rock Star Baby was how funny it was. The writing and the dialogue had me laughing out loud a few times, which isn’t super easy in a paranormal romance without coming off as cheesy. Especially when the romance in question is as insta-lust as this one is. I think ultimately the breadth of my enjoyment of this book can be summed up in whether I plan on continuing with the series or not. While I’m not ultimately driven to binge the entire Bad Oak Boys series immediately, it is something I might tuck away for later should I feel the need for some feel good fluff.
So, would I recommend this book? Sure. If you are in the mood for something cute and simple, I would definitely say this fits the bill. Added bonus for some choice dirty talk.

Bardulf is the alpha-heir for his pack. Which is a lot of responsibility for a 23-year-old. Particularly with his dad acting out-of-character. When his sister asks him to stand in for her as a contest winner he agrees. The contest winner gets to kiss the lead singer of a boy band - Ryan. Bardulf is a gay wolf in a world that isn't very accepting of that - particularly a world that depends on the alpha bloodline to stay stable So accepting that he is never going to have a child if he finds a same-sex partner or having to deny a part of himself is a real issue for Bardulf. When he meets Ryan and immediately recognizes him as his mate - this pretty much detonates a bomb into both their lives.

Ryan is (mostly) human, thinks he is (mostly) straight, and does not live a quiet life. He's in the middle of a tour and really has no idea about shifters. When he meets Bardulf - so say his world is changed would be a serious understatement. Its definitely an instalove - fated mates situation.

I honestly didn't know what to make of this book. I love a good shifter book - and this was definitely a shifter book, but you get very much thrown into the world with a lot of names and concept and not much background. Sometimes that works - but sometimes it leaves a reader feeling a little overwhelmed. In this book - there is a lot going on - and getting dropped in the middle of it left me feeling a bit lost, until the characters came back together again.

Overall, this was a different kind of shifter book for me - but I did like it. I wished there had been more time between Bardulf and Ryan. When they were together they spent most of that on-page time being intimate - which was fun, but kind of left me wanting more emotional engagement. I will also say - as a warning this book contains a male-pregnancy which was - different.

I received this via NetGalley as an ARC, but these opinions are all my own.

Rock Star Baby is an enjoyable, if sometimes confusing, read. Bardulf the hot werewolf wants to mate with Ryan the boy band star. That's easy and obvious.

The book suffers from a common problem: too many ideas. Is this book about boy bands? Werewolves? Straight leaning, heteroflexible men? Mate bonding? Coming out? Politics and poisoning? Ultra-rare male werewolf pregnancy? Yes, and more.

Most chapters involved a shift in perspective midway through. That's a common pattern for adding more color to the story. In this case, the perspective shift is often then followed by a new development. The conflict that starts a chapter is almost always superceded before the end of the chapter, making it hard for the reader to keep track of the characters, their development and the story arc.

The sex writing is hot, but gets lost in the quickly shifting focus and narrative ideas. The m/m mpreg bits seem like one thing too many, but then it's the title of the book.

More scene breaks, more chapter breaks, and a couple fewer ideas would make Rock Star Baby that much more enjoyable.

I loved this story of a chance meeting by fated mates. The accompanying story that plays out along with Ryan and Bardulf's developing relationship definitely keeps you interested at every turn. I absolutely have to continue reading the series in the hopes of seeing more of their life together after that epilogue.
