I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. This was such a beautifully written novel. Loved all the characters. I didn't know this was part of a series until I looked it up. So I can't wait to read other books from the series. Highly recommend for anyone who loves reading Christian writing.

I read this and couldn't resist also listening to it as well. Delightful! I'm not a big audio book listener. I usually prefer the physical copy but this was nice to listen to while I was busy crocheting my latest project. I look forward to more in this format.

Unfailing Love maintains the theme set in the previous two books following the story of two sisters who help children in the rural areas of Canada. A little clunky at first as we try to unravel what the children at the heart of this book are doing, and what their fate will be, it maintains the overall hope of things working out. As with all of Ms. Ike’s books there is a heavy handed dose of scripture and morality scatted about toward the end of the book. In my opinion the book was a tad too long, and I could’ve done without the syrupy sweet epilogue. I think most readers who enjoyed the first two books, will also enjoy this one.

A wonderful conclusion to Grace and Lillian's story. Parts of the plot shone plainly as bittersweet to me, as I knew it would be the last time to encounter these characters on the page. Perhaps some of the story seemed rather slow, but that was alright. I truly enjoy reading about the sisters, their lives, and the children they love so much. We get some suspense thrown in when some of the bolder children decide to run away. It causes much distress and heartache back at home.

Now that I have finished this series, I plan to branch out and explore more of Janette Oke's earlier publications.

The audiobook version is great. The narrator has a good, clear voice. Definitely would recommend if you're a fellow audio listener.

This story was mostly centered around three runaway orphans and the rescue efforts to find them. The kids were housed at a home for children in the foster care system. Lillian and her friend, Grace, were the caretakers for all the children that lived at the home. The three kids that ran away soon learn that they don’t have the skills to find food and shelter for themselves out on the prairie, and are unaware of the dangers that lurk out in the world. The story was mostly focused on them and how they survived on their own while on the run. In all honestly, this book seemed to drag on for me and it was hard for me to stay interested until the end.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the chance to listen to and review the audiobook version of Unfailing Loveby Janette Oke.

The beginning of the book was a bit difficult to navigate as there were so many different characters. Once I was able to figure out who was who the storyline started to make much more sense. I enjoyed the sweetness of the interactions and the love that the characters had for one another. It has been a long time since reading a book by this author and look forward to reading another in the near future.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you to Netgalley, the author and the publisher for a chance to listen to this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. Unfailing Love by Janette Oke and Laurel Oke Logan is the third book in When Hope Calls series. I believe it is best to read the series in order. The story of Lillian & Grace and the happenings surrounding their children’s home was interesting and varied. I would highly recommend reading this series!

The book took a while to really get into because the beginning felt quite slow. But I absolutely loved the story and getting to know the different characters. The epilogue made it a perfect ending.

I was a bit disappointed in this book. I have always enjoyed Janette Oke books, but really could not get into this read at all. Sorry.

I have read many, many Janette Oke books in my teenaged and young adult years but it has been a really long time since I read one. This book was like reuniting with an old friend. The story of Lillian & Grace and the happenings surrounding their children’s home was interesting and varied. I worried about the runaway kids right along with the family. The characters in this book are well developed. I was a little confused at the beginning since I hadn’t read the first two books but things became clear fairly quickly. This book portrays steady faith but isn’t preachy.
I’m really glad I got to experience this story which is the first one I’ve read that Oke wrote with her daughter. It was a great story.

Thanks to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for an audiobook copy of this story.

Unfailing Love is a lovely safe place to escape for a good few hours. Whether you’ve watched the tv series When Hope Calls, or not, this story is great for lovers of historical romance or historical fiction.

The book is the third in a series about the Lilian Walsh and Grace Bennett, sisters who were separated as orphans when Lilian was adopted and Grace, left behind. Now reunited as adults, the women have teamed up to run an orphanage of their own. In this story, they’re blighted by three children running away. Newly adopted Lemuel, newly arrived Veronica and Freddy, who wants to get to the coast and become a sailor.

While Lemuel struggles to keep a determined Veronica safe from reactionary Freddy, the search is on to find them. Meanwhile, back at Brookfield, the temporary orphanage, Grace and Lilian try to keep Veronica’s brother Cass, feeling safe and loved.

Lilian has problems of her own and learns the best way to tackle them is with open and honest communication. Ben, meanwhile is wrestling with joy at finding the family he left years ago, but sadness at his broken relationship with his dad. On top of this, he struggles with Freddy’s disappearance as Ben hoped to adopt the youth.

As the stories interweave, the patient working out of faith in every day struggles and joys comes to the fore, making this a lovely summer escape. My only less than glowing comment is the narrator. She does a fantastic job except for accents. They weren’t good at all. But other than that, she is flawless.

I definitely recommend this book. I received a copy from NetGalley. The views are my own.

Unfailing Love by Janette Oke
Unfailing Love is the third book in the "When Hope Calls" series. Lillian Walsh and Grace Bennett's journey of owning and operating a branch of an orphanage continues in Unfailing Love. Three of the orphans run away, and the story continues, following the three on their journey to what they believe to be a better life; all the while, Lillian and Grace are trying to keep things together at home. Janette Oke and her daughter Laurel Oke Logan bring the series to an end in this book.
I have been a fan of Janette Okes since I was young. I've been drawn to stories like this and what I named "women of the west" type of books. I was unaware that Hallmark had made this series a television show, but I am glad to begin watching it soon. I enjoyed this story, meeting and following Lillian and Grace on their journey, and I cannot wait for it to come to life on the screen.

Caring for children who are orphaned or in distress is not an easy task for Lillian Walsh and Grace Bennett. When three troubled children run away from their Canadian home a great deal of effort goes into finding them before the children are harmed. Relationships among other family members are also challenged and sacrificial decisions must be made during this difficult time.

This audiobook is the third in a series and the first I have read. At first it was difficult to understand the dynamics of the characters and how they were connected, but eventually I grew to care for each one. The narration was excellent with different accents for characters from different backgrounds and countries.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

This was a lovely look at a what family and community really means! I loved learning about the children and revisiting the adults as they navigate the challenges of life. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a peek into an wonderfully full world with loveable characters. This book feels like a hug! I can't wait to revisit this book.

This was a wonderful conclusion to the series. Mental health in Christian fiction is rare in my opinion. Veronica's character reminded me of someone I know so I could connect to the book. The only draw back was that the writer focused so much of the book on the 3 lost kids and that just left a short time to conclude the book,

Unfailing Love is a journey through times when families didn’t have choices. Children needed homes. Communities scared for those around. Two sisters whose hearts are called to serve the Lord in unique ways care for young children that aren’t their own. Walk with them through their character building, maturing, and strengthening life story.

I have read Janette Oke previously and read the first two books in this series. Reading the first two books helps to understand the background and just understand the characters a little more. Janette Oke is a wonderful writer and her stories always have a Biblical lesson. I generally enjoy her stories but for some reason this story seemed to drag out for more than half the book. I enjoyed the 2nd half of the book and really enjoyed seeing how the kids character and hearts begin to change, well a few of them. There are two different stories occuring, the runaway children and Lillian's future. While some parts of the book are certainly a stretch there are parts that very much seem like everyday life. Sometimes we all are caught in our own selfishness that we can't see the needs of others. There are sacrifices that are made by some and not by others. I do love the redemption that occurs at the end.

I did enjoy the audiobook narrator, Nancy Peterson. I look forward to listening to more of her narrations in audiobooks.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook and review the book.

Ok I'm having to stop at chapter 9. Sorry, there's just too many good books out here for me to waste my time on one I'm not enjoying. The writing style is good and all; the blurb reveals an interesting plot - which is why I requested it here on Netgalley in the first place. But the final product is so boring! And we can't go one chapter without a preachy prayer, like get real. Plus the teenage kids are so unrealistic. I can't anymore.

Thanks netgalley for giving me the advanced pdf so that I can share my thoughts and opinions with y'all 🧡

Two sisters use their family home to start an orphanage of sorts. They taken kids with no place to go and all is well until Lamuel, Veronica and troublesome Freddy runaway. Lemuel is a good boy who only goes with them to protect Veronica, Veronica is a child but I did not like her at all! Little Freddy I think just needed direction and unfortunately he was taking that from Veronica for most of the book. The two sisters think they have enough to deal with with the children missing but then the father comes home married to a woman half his age and although he seems happy Lillian find it hard to except Mabel as her stepmother. then there’s sweet Walter who just wants to give Lil Jane a nice place to live and to call home, but when he sees that Freddie has stolen his seed money it greatly affects him. There is a lot going on in this book and I enjoyed all of it. I think Jeanette Oaks did a great job with this book. I totally understood how Lillian found it hard to except someone close to her own age as her father‘s life companion. I also thought the narrator was awesome. Her different accents were spot on and I enjoyed listening to her now read the book. The only reason I gave this for instead of five stars is because the first few chapters of the book seem to drag a little for me, but still a four star read I give the narrator five star she was awesome! I was giving this book by net galley and I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any errors as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.
