It seems like forever since we had another installment of the Verity/Frankie/Lucy/and the cast of Sugarland series. Some of my favorite characters and places. I am so happy it is finally here. This book contains lots of twist and turns, a secret reveled, plenty of ghosts and a good old southern “come to Jesus meeting” we all have been waiting for. Highly recommend this book, you will not be disappointed!

I am always at the lookout for any new instalment of this series. Love to see the new shenanigans our permanently resident ghost is up to.
This is always laugh out loud funny.
A ghostly feud, blackmail even beyond the grave and the secret to unground and free our beloved Frankie.
We get to see a totally different side of one recurring character, that makes it more fun to read.

These stories get better and better. I can't believe what Verity has to go through this time. she always has something unbelievable happen. This book takes us to a place I never thought I would see. I think this book takes us to a new understanding of the town and the people in it. You are going to be shook with how this plays out.

Funny and enjoyable read. It's the first time reading the author, but I need all of them. Such a cute book, great mistery.
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC. The opinion are my own.

I love this series! The stories are always new but homey and familiar at the same time. Give Up the Ghost had the whole gang plus some new 4 legged critters to fall in love with.

As always- I can't wait for the next book!

I received this ARC free from Netgalley. The review was voluntary. The opinions my own.

I received a free epub copy from NetGalley.

This was an enjoyable read that was easy to jump into the story. The characters were fun and the ghosts were relatable. I liked how all the quirks (ghosts and skunk for a pet) were just treated like normal things and life went on as usual. The story did wrap kind of suddenly with the use of ghost vs human world antics but everything else about the book I liked.

I love this series, and this one is especially intriguing. Will Virginia finally get what is due to her? Will Frankie finally go free? So many questions. A real page turner. I enjoyed the the story and some very nice pleasant surprises for Verity in the story as well. Definitely recommend, but I would also suggest reading the prior story (the Haunted Homecoming) in the series first. Better yet, read the whole series!

In this 11th installment verity has to deal with some secrets that should have stayed secret.

After the early opening of the time capsule. The people of sugarland are shockedat to discover an unexpected item they thought was buried forever. Erma sue‘s book of secrets, that she used to blackmail the citizens of Sugarland. When there is a death and the book goes missing. Verity has to figure out who the killer is and who wanted the book gone. Franky is rather more interested that the might after all be a way to free.

I absolutely love the southern Ghost Hunter Mystery Series and this book did not disappoint. It was fun spending time with the characters we’ve grown to love. Verity is always willing to help others and is just overall good hearted.Franky is still Franky he loves to steal and make veritys life a bit more complicated. He even gets some new friends. A character who really shines in this one is the queen herself Virginia Wydell She is for the first time, held accountable for her actions and has some amends to do .She still has a Long way to go but I warmed up toward her and am starting to like her.

The plot was good and interesting. It keeps you interested and reading wich is what I want from my books. The mystery was good set up and executed.

Would highly Recommended for all who loved the previous books or like paranormal Mysterys.

I love this series! GIVE UP THE GHOST is such a cute addition to the series. Verity continues to be one of my favorite characters, and I love her relationship with her pet, her ghost, and her friends. There were some surprises in this one with a long-term character, and I like where it went… and we’ll see how it goes in the future. Looking forward to the next installment of this series!

A big thank you to NetGalley and Moose Island Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads well as a stand alone. This was a fun read! I loved how Verity took the high road and did things she didn't want to do, just because she cared about Ellis. She was kind to his mother when she didn't have to be. Loved that for her. Great quick cozy mystery. 4 stars

Verity Long is ghost hunting again when the 'burn book' kept by Sugarland's most notorious blackmailer, and absolute best hairdresser is discovered in the town time capsule. Nobody knows who put it there, but her daughter claims it and puts it in a place of honor in her hair salon. Until, that is, it's stolen and she is murdered. Who wants that book? The only way Verity will find out is to find the original owners ghost and ask her.

I love this series of books and look forward to each new one.

Verity Long has had problems with her boyfriend's mother since before the series started. Virginia Wydell destroyed Verity's family mansion taking all of the family heirlooms. And she has definitely tried to come between her son, Ellis, and Verity. But she's just called Ellis and needs help.

See, Virginia has just discovered her best friend, Twyla Sue, dead on the floor of her beauty salon. The book her mother Erma Sue left behind contained a lot of gossip. Actually, it was a lot of blackmail material that she used to rule Sugarland. The book turned up in the recently opened time capsule and Twyla Sue spirited it away before anyone could read it. Now Twyla's dead and pages from the book are turning up. And all of them are revealing secrets Virginia would rather keep hidden. She begs Verity to take the case. Verity does, but only to help Ellis. And it turns out Erma Sue, once grounded, has figured out how to move around. This could have major implications for Verity and Frankie.
The mystery was really loose on this one but there was major character development, especially for Virginia.

Three and a half stars
This book comes out May 31, 2022
Follows The Haunted Homecoming

Give Up The Ghost is another delightfully quirky installment in this series. Verity and Frankie take on the ghost of Sugarlands most vicious gossip. Lucy makes friends with a ghost horse. Virginia and Verity have a come to Jesus meeting unlike anything we’ve seen to date. This is a fast paced exciting romp that will leave you feeling good about life.

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. As I thought, Angie Fox did not disappoint. I absolutely love this series. Her sense of humor had me laughing all the time. I have not read all the books for this series but I have read 4 now I believe. Absolutely brilliant writing. Highly recommend! I hope she continues this series for a long time.

This is the 11th book in The Southern Ghost Hunter Mystery series, and it didn't disappoint. Each book in the series is better than last and I truly enjoyed this newest book. The characters are so well written, and their dialogue is just a hoot. I spend so much time laughing when I read one of these books it isn't funny. With a gangster ghost that's grounded to her home, a pet skunk and an increasing menagerie of ghostly animals, Verity Long has her work cut out for her. If you love small Southern towns, humor and ghosts you'll love this book!

Every new Southern Ghost Hunter mystery is my new favorite and this is no exception. Spending time with Verity, Frankie, Lucy the skunk and let's not forget Ellis....well it's like spending time with friends. I'd be fine with having a ghost in my life even if that ghost is Frankie. This time Verity has to deal one on one with her almost mother-in-law. It's complicated - Verity was on the eve of marrying Beau only to find him making the moves on her sister. Virginia, future mother-in-law was paying for the lavish wedding and took her revenge by getting ownership of just about every single thing Verity owned.
Now Verity is in a wonderful relationship with Beau's brother, the cop and Ellis is everything his brother wasn't. Virginia is still one very mad woman but has to turn to Verity for help when a blackmail journal turns up and Virginia is found standing over the dead body of the daughter of the journal's creator. Sparks fly and Virginia has to face some harsh reality.
I don't want to give anything away but I will say Frankie is up to his usual antics which drive Verity nuts, Lucy makes new friends, there are lots of surprises and a character I detest, one who will continue to be a thorn in Verity's side. I am counting the days until the next visit with Verity, Frankie, Lucy and the rest. I know it will be worth the wait.

I was delighted to see a new Angie Fox book. I love this series and this book made me laugh and even gasp. It was lovely to see the usual crowd especially the new ones. Yes, I would highly recommend this book and then entire series.

This review was given freely and honestly. I received the book from Netgalley.

Oh my it sure is dangerous to live in Sugarland ! In the last book a time capsule featured and you’ve guessed it there are still even more secrets to discover . Verity remembers how the previous hair dresser in town kept tabs on everybody but now her diary has been found and it looks like her daughter just might be a chip off the old gossiping, blackmailing block !
This series is such fun to escape into with its ladylike ghost hunting protagonist and her crazy side kick who is hauntingly funny ! You just never know what these characters will get up to next but one things for sure Verity has been on quite a journey and it sure does look as if things just might end happily ever after for her but my lips are sealed !
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from NetGalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
