I received an advanced reader copy of this book to leave an honest review. I have read quite a few of Jennifer Probst books and love her stories and writing style. I have to say that this book was good and well written but was not one of my favorites of hers. I felt like it left me wanting more. Overall a good storyline that I liked but I just felt like the romance and angst between the two was not as compatible. That being said, I would still recommend it as a read. I also really loved the cameo appearances from characters from previous books. That was great and made me want to go back and reread some of my favorites. And it still makes me want to read the other books in the series as I do love the other characters.

Jennifer Probst has always brought a solid story in the past books I have read. In So It Goes, she takes a woman who has devoted herself to her career and life has not brought her the "man who would be the one". Her Family worries and is concerned she is alone. This causes her to reach out to a client she has been working with for the past year to come to an event the family is involved with.

The only problem is this man who she asks to help is the bain of her days. He is difficult, and challenging, they butt heads. Little does she know, he has been interested in her from the start.

Let the fun begin.

Jennifer certainly tugs at your heart strings with this one. Malia desperately once the forever after which includes children however due to a medical condition time is running out at 32. So she has decided to freeze her eggs to enable her a chance. Palmer wants Malia but doesn't want the trappings. The gang gets involved after sparks start to fly. Loved getting caught up with the gang too. Lots of humour too. Loved it

The story of Malia and Palmer. They start fake dating, but Palmer wants a chance for real - will he get what he hopes for?
A great read

I couldn't put this book down and loved getting to see past characters throughout this story! Sign me up for a fake date relationship! I was here for this read. Malia has a good head on her shoulders and doesn't need a man. But her family has an expectation of her. Palmer could have any woman he wanted but that's not what his life is about. His family also has an expectation of him. Chemistry was the start of something, but fate pushed things along for these two. The banter between them was fun and flirty. Things felt realistic and believable and I found myself swooning for Malia! Don't let this book pass you by!

Malia is feeling her age, giving up on finding her soulmate she decides to freeze her eggs so at least she can become a mother when the time is right. She is switching roles in the office, and the arrogant Palmer who secretly fancies her has to work quickly to keep her in his life. Lots of push and pull in this story to keep the reader interested, and their family and friends see their attraction which Malia works so hard to deny.

I really enjoyed this book and the entire premise behind it.

The pull between Palmer & Malia is so strong yet Malia tries to fight it for so long.

I'm anxious to see what happens with Tessa!

At the end of So It Goes, I read that this was Jennifer’s 50th book. She included a lot of nuggets of her previous books in this one as a treat. And I loved to recognize a lot of them. Especially Gabe from the Sunshine Sisters. So It Goes picks up after Meant to Be: Chiara, Tessa and Malia are branching out Quench, with a not-for-profit foundation. And Malia will be the one to take this on. This will mean, she will no longer do the marketing and advertising division of Quench. And this will also mean, she will handover her toughest and most frustratign customer to her new colleague. What she didn’t expect, was that Mr. Hot Billionaire (as Tessa named him) would threaten to leave Quench, if she doesn’t stay his contact. Malia, however, is not where she is today, if she would let herself intimidated, so she declines.

Palmer has never met a woman immune to his charms. But Malia only seems to be irritated by him. Desperate to get her attention, he tries to blackmail her a little into keeping her as his contact. But even then, she won’t budge. He can’t but admire her for that. And he wants so much more than that.

So It Goes is written in a dual POV and it is fun to see how Palmer tries to convince Mailia to go out with him. Of course, sparks are flying everywhere, but will they give in?

Cute, funny and as always heartwarming. Four out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.

This is kind of hard to get into first. I couldn't really connect with the characters. I needed to warm up to them. And sometimes I just think they're better off not together. There are a lot of things happening in the story too. So it's a lot. And I wished the pacing picked up at the beginning. This just didn't do it for me like other Jennifer's books. that I've enjoyed.

Malia has achieved the professional success she has always wanted but the same can’t be said when it comes to romance. She is done waiting with meeting the perfect man to spend her future with so instead she will focus on becoming a mother even if her methods are unconventional. The only problem is her family doesn’t agree so the way to alleviate their interference is by bringing a suitable date to a wedding she must attend.

Palmer is a successful businessman who isn’t looking for love or a relationship but that doesn’t mean he isn’t attracted to Malia. She intrigues him in a way he has never felt before so when they both need a date for a social event going together seems like the solution to both their problems. The more he gets to know her the more he wants to know and now he is determined to show her that what they feel for each other is very real.

This is a heartwarming story about two people who find love where they least expect it once they open their hearts to the possibilities and each other.

I knew going into book 2 that the "hot billionaire" client who drove her mad would be the love interest and I was here for it.

I really liked Palmer, yes he started off as an arrogant jerk - his version of flirting wasn't the best - but the REAL Palmer was a sweetheart

This story was as predictable as all hell, but I didn't care, I had comfort in the fact that what I wanted to happen, happened. I wanted her to let down her walls, I wanted him to realise he wanted a family, I wanted her to open herself up to love, I wanted him... whoops, but not quite a lie - don't fret hubby, he's fictional

The only complaint I had was that the dude on the cover had black hair, when Palmer had grey, but I see they have fixed that - good work 👏

I can't wait for book 3, I imagine things with Ford and Tessa will be explosive!

Usually when I read a Jennifer Probst book I like to savor and make it as long lasting as possible however I couldn’t put this book down.
Malia is an ad executive. Palmer is an owner/ billionaire who by Malia’s account is seemingly involved in every aspect of his company. The banter between these two keeps you glued to the story. When they each need a plus one for parties, a scheme is enacted but to be fully plausible they have to get to know each other - quirks and all.
A story of opening your heart, taking chances even though you might be fearful. The descriptive qualities in the words used gives a sensual feeling.

So It Goes is Jennifer Probst's second book from the Twist of Fate series. It is a slow burn romance about two career driven achievers.

Malia Evergreen and her two best friends run their own successful business. Up until recently, Malia handled the advertising. Now she is spearheading the company's new charitable foundation and is very excited about her new role. In addition, not seeing CEO Palmer Matterson anymore is the icing on the cake, as their weekly meetings caused her stress and a bit of sexual tension. Palmer's arrogant attitude during their meetings was due to his evolving feelings for Malia.

Malia and Palmer accidentally find themselves together again and as a result, they agree to be each other's fake date for a couple of family weddings. Overtime they fall into lust and love.

I liked this book and I enjoyed the relationships between all the characters. Malia and her business partners have quite a support system, both professionally and personally. The camaraderie
between Palmer and his sisters was a hoot. Once Malia and Palmer finally got together, their sexy times were hot. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I was overjoyed with the references to the past.

Complimentary copy provided by the publisher via NeGalley.

This is book two in the series but can be read as a standalone without any issues. A great story about looking for your forever and finding it where you least expect it. Now the question is will Malia and Palmer be able to open their hearts and beleive in the feelings that you overwhelming them?

Malia is always talking about how she wants the happily ever after with a family and everything but she is having trouble finding her one. Of course her sisters have all managed and she is the only one that isn't attached yet at 32 years old. Determined to be able to have everything when she finds mister right, she is planning to freeze her eggs. She is a strong confident business woman but doesn't see some strong with her pesonal emotions.

Palmer might seem like he has the relationship and love thing all sorted out as the sucessful owner of the top wedding company in the state. He has made a career out of love and happlily ever after. He just isn't expecting it for himself. Sure he has had some relationships but he always seems to step back when the ladies want more than what they currently have. When he meets Malia, he is smitten very quickly but as they are working together he tries to hold back. In doing this he only pushes her futher away.

Will he be able to get her to give him a chance? Will she ever beleive his feelings are true as he says? Could she convince him that marriage and forever with a family might just be what he wants after all?

I did find this book a little slower than most of Ms Probst books I have read in the past. That being said, I did enjoy the story and the characters. Even the nosey side characters.

This Isn't Going to Work?!

The H/h business relationship is froth with tension. The h thinks the H doesn't like her, but it's the complete opposite. When she tries to assign someone else to his account, he's not happy and her partners aren't thrilled with his unhappiness. The h wants to do something different that will be more of a challenge though not more challenging than her journey to single motherhood through fertility treatments. When the hero confesses his feelings, it brings on more anxiety than she can deal with especially when she learns the H wants her, but he doesn't want kids. What's a girl to do? Give up or move on?

Jennifer Probst’s second book in her Twist of Fate series, So It Goes, is fun, witty, and amazingly beautiful. Two people who think they have nothing in common but business find themselves spending a lot of time together in hopes of getting their families to stop meddling in their love lives. Malia wants children and is tired of her lack-luster choices lately of men. So she has decided to take motherhood in her own hands. Palmer Matterson is a self-made man who loves being CEO of his own wedding planning company. Palmer is handsome, well fit, funny, smart but sometimes is not sure how to handle Malia. I really enjoyed this book. It has been quite a while since I read a Jennifer Probst book. It was nice to be reminded of how very talented she is at storytelling. Highly recommend book two in the Twist of Fate series, So It Goes.

Malia Evergreen is a confident, gorgeous single woman who had amazing friends and family, and a career she was passionate about. She ran her own media company with her best friends where she worked as an advertising representative. She had it all, except that special someone. She still hadn’t found her soul mate, and after many dating disasters she wasn’t sure if her person was out there. As her family continues to pressure her to settle down, she finds herself in need of a plus one. She makes a deal with the most unlikely choice, and a man who drives her crazy. She’s worked with Mr. Matterson for the last year. He’s been a huge client, but they always clash. He annoys her and likes to give her a hard time. The infuriating, ruthless, arrogant, sexy billionaire is a control freak, but no man has ever looked at her the way he does. She can’t deny their physical chemistry or the way she responds so intensely to him. When they spend more time together will she begin to see a new side to this irritating, persistent alpha?

Palmer Matterson is a powerful, polished CEO that runs a successful wedding planning empire in Manhattan. He’s not one for relationships, but he’s developed a huge crush on a stunning woman he’s built a business relationship with. Malia fascinates him and challenges him at every turn. Something about her calls to him on every level, and he can’t quit thinking about her. He’s wanted her since he first laid eyes on her, and is ready to make his move and win her over. When he decides to fight for her, will she finally give him a chance to show her how good they could be together?

So It Goes by Jennifer Probst is the second book in the Twist of Fate series. Two lonely, attractive, successful, intelligent people share a connection and give in to fate. It’s a slow burn, fake dating, enemies to lovers, office romance full of chemistry and fabulous banter.
